  • How to debug MinGW32-make batch files?

    I'm having some difficulties building up some cross-platform Makefiles, and I'm getting errors from processes called by mingw32-make that don't make the problem clear. I've tried calling mingw32-make with "-d", and I get a lot of debug output, but the actual program invocations are hidden in temporary batch files that are immediately deleted. Is there any way to keep these batch files around, so that I can actually see what mingw32-make is doing under the hood, and fix what I assume is my problem?

  • Compiling the ffmpeg on iPhone?

    I downloaded the iFrameExtractor sample code and try to compile it with the iPhone simulator version 3.1.3 The project shows the following errors ( http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/3245/66948298.png ) even thought I added *.a libraries to my project. All libraries was under the library searching path. I guess it is a linking problem. Anyone can recommend to me a configuration for compiling ffmpeg on x86? Thanks in advance.

    Hi, just set up FirePHP and using a framework called Qcodo / Qcubed. Has anyone heard of these on SO? Been having challenges debugging -- trying to do a fairly simple new() and save() and then output via Ajax but not getting any kind of responsiveness from errors. Any help for us, two of us have checked it out but can't seem to get a response. Thanks!     Hello, I have declared my own type: data Book = Bookinfo { bookId :: Int, title :: String } deriving(Show) and now: x = Bookinfo it is all ok, valid statement but making bookId x throws an error. If I would be able to handle errors in Haskell that would be ok but right now I cant do this So Im curious how to make not specified values of fields take default value, and what exactly value is there when I'm not giving vcalues of fields in construcotr ? thanks for help

    The escape_javascript method in ActionView escapes the apostrophe ' as backslash apostrophe \', which gives errors when parsing as JSON. For example, the message "I'm here" is valid JSON when printed as: {"message": "I'm here"} But, <%= escape_javascript("I'm here") %> outputs "I\'m here", resulting in invalid JSON: {"message": "I\'m here"} Is there a patch to fix this, or an alternate way to escape strings when printing to JSON?

    I've got a very weird bug which I've yet to find a solution. UPDATE see solution below What I am trying to do is convert a full size picture into a 160x120 thumbnail. It works great with jpg and jpeg files of any size, but not with png. I like the VS syntax highlighting and auto-indentation features but additionally would like advanced features like: contextual info and help, collapsible JavaScript blocks, implicit symbol understanding for searching, refactoring and that kind of thing; also warnings and errors for the js code. Suggestions?

    I'm setting up actionmailer in rails but don't see where it logs errors and therefore cannot troubleshoot. I've got the delivery_errors turned on in environments/development.rb: config.action_mailer.raise_delivery_errors = true I'm not seeing anything logged in development.log related to emailing. Does actionmailer log to somewhere else or what am I missing? Thanks!

    I am attempting to have mechanize select a form from a page, but the form in question has no "name" attribute in the html. What should I do? when I try to use br.select_form(name = "") i get errors that no form is declared with that name, and the function requires a name input. There is only one form on the page, is there some other way I can select that form?

  • Background worker not working right

    I have created a background worker to go and run a pretty long task that includes creating more threads which will read from a file of urls and crawl each. I tried following it through debugging and found that the background process ends prematurely for no apparent reason. Is there something wrong in the logic of my code that is causing this. I will try and paste as much as possible to make sense.     Hello All, If I define something in a pre-compiled header like: #define __BUILD_MAC__ and then in a header file do: #ifdef __BUILD_MAC__ typedef void* HINSTANCE; #endif This should work. But for some reason It isn't. I know because when I compile I get errors about HINSTANCE not naming a type. Do I need to do anything else to make these defines available?

As far as I can see Android SDKs and platforms work correctly because I can successfully compile Android projects from diffrent IDE (Netbeans).

END My understanding is that a bus error occurs when the program attempts to access impossible memory but I do not understand where such an attempt has been made in this program.     I have three FreeBSD 8.1 running on three different hardware and therefore consist of different network adapter as well (bce, bge and igb). I found that the network connection is kind of unstable which I have tried to scp some 10MB file and found that I cannot always get the files completed successfully. I have further checked with my network admin and he claim that the problem is being caused by the network driver which cannot support the load whereby he tried to ping using huge packet size (around 15k) and my server will drop packet consistently at a regular interval. I found that this statement may not be valid since the three server is using three different network drive and it would be quite impossible that the same problem is being caused by three different network adapter and thus different network driver.
