  • archive all messages account on exchange 2003 receiving multiple copies

    - by aeolist
Hello everyone I am using microsoft exchange 2003 on windows 2003 small business server. For the past month or so, the archiver account has been receiving multiple copies (about 15 or so) of each and every email. edit: All copies share the same Message ID. The machine that hosts exchange is updated religiously and an antivirus scan is run on a daily basis. So would anyone please have any ideas about how to deal with this and furthermore, how i would be able to delete the multiple copies of emails from outlook 2003 inbox. I will edit the entry, answering any questions or updating on my efforts Thanks in advance

  • Looking for a router with multiple WAN ports and load balancing

    - by Cyrcle
I'm going to be moving in a few months. The location I'm moving to is great except it's on a road with very few people, so the internet access option is limited to DSL at 1.6Mbps down, 384kbps up. This is much slower than I'm used to. One option is to get at least two of the DSL lines. There's also good possibility that I'll be able to get WiMax or similar. I've been looking around a bit and it seems like what I need is a load balancing router with multiple WAN ports. Can anyone recommend some good ones? I could also go with a small power efficient Linux box with multiple NICs. What would be good software for that? It'd need to be able to handle around 10Mbps. Thanks for any help

  • Automating the input of query criteria

    - by Steve Wren
New user to this site and found an extremely informative answer to a question I had but can't find an answer to this one. Using Access 2010, I have 42 different criteria that I need to run individually using the same query. Rather than have 42 queries, or an input parameter dialogue box where I need to enter the criteria 42 times, can I automate this so that the 42 criteria are sourced sequentially from a different table and input to the query using a macro/ module etc. Unfortunately I have no experience of SQL/VBA so am struggling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • wildcard host name bindings for multiple subdomains in multiple sites on IIS7 with a single IP address

    - by orca
Situation: I have a single windows 2008 server with a single public IP address. I have multiple domains with wildcard A records pointing to the single IP address. I need each domain to be hosted by a different web site. (i.e. www.domain1.com by site domain1site) I need domain1.com to act like www.domain1.com I need each site to be able to have multiple subdomains (i.e. www.domain1.com, abc.domain1.com, xyz.domain1.com) Not relevant yet here it goes, I plan to handle each subdomain by a different application hosted in the same site (i.e. application /xyz in domain1site) However I found out that IIS7 does not support creating web sites with wildcard host name binding and setting it without any subdomain (i.e. domain1.com) does not work, even for www.domain1.com. Is there a simple solution? Does any IIS Extension like Application Request Routing provide such capability?

  • SQL server availability issue: large query stops other connections from connecting

    - by Carlos
I've got a high-spec (multicore, RAID) server running MS SQL 2008, with several databases on it. I have a low throughput process that periodically needs a small amount of information from one of the DBs, and the code seems to work fine. However, sometimes when one of my colleagues does a huge query against one of the other DBs, I see full CPU usage on the machine, and connections from my app time out. Why does this happen? I would have thought the many cores and harddisks would somehow (together with cleverly written DB server) be able to keep at least some of the resources free for other apps? I'm pretty sure he doesn't use multiple connections for his query. What can I do to prevent this?

  • Multiple public keys for one user

    - by Russell
This question is similar to SSH public key authentication - can one public key be used for multiple users? but it's the other way around. I'm experimenting on using ssh so any ssh server would work for your answers. Can I have multiple public keys link to the same user? What are the benefits of doing so? Also, can different home directories be set for different keys used (all of which link to the same user)? Please let me know if I'm unclear. Thanks.

  • "Tail" a logstash server query

    - by phatmanace
Assuming I have a logstash server chocked full of logs being loaded regularly, is there a reasonably elegant way that I can tail the results of a continuously executing query on the logstash server and show this in a terminal window e.g some-special-logstash-command.sh | egrep -v "(searchword1|searchword2)" the idea being that the command pipes stuff out of logstash and to my grep query that filters and shows me the filtered output for. .. of course if there is a logstash command that can do the grep piece for me as well, then that works too :) motivation for doing this, is that assuming all of my events from my estate is being loaded into logstash, then would be nice to have a terminal window with a continuous tail of interesting events as they occur scrolling past the screen. -Ace

  • Cisco ASA 5505 inside interface multiple ip addresses

    - by Oneiroi
I have an issue this morning where I want to be able to assign multiple ip addresses to the inside interface to facilitate an ip range migration for an office. Namely from a 192.168.1.x range to the new range, with the minimum of interruption for those working in the office. (New DHCP leases will use the new range, whilst those still on the 192.168.1.x range can continue to work until their lease is renewed). However I can not for the life of me figure out how to achieve this, trying to create multiple interfaces for the job leads to complaints about the license only allowing 2 active interfaces. Any suggestions? thanks in advance.

  • Audio switch with multiple 3.5mm input & outputs

    - by David Nguyen
I've been searching for a device that simple allows me to pick one input and one output from multiple input/outputs. I thought this would be a called a switch but I can only find ones with one input. Is there such a device that can do this? I will be attaching various devices, i.e. multiple console sound, PC & Laptop inputs and outputting to my speakers or headphones. I'm looking for something small and simple. All inputs and outputs are 3.5mm.

  • Query Performance Degrades with High Number of Logical Reads

    - by electricsk8
I'm using Confio Ignite8 to derive this information, and monitor waits. I have one query that runs frequently, and I notice that on some days there is an extremely high number of logical reads incurred, +300,000,000 for 91,000 executions. On a good day, the logical reads are much lower, 18,000,000 for 94,000 executions. The execution plan for the query utilizes clustered index seeks, and is below. StmtText |--Nested Loops(Inner Join, OUTER REFERENCES:([f].[ParentId])) |--Clustered Index Seek(OBJECT:([StructuredFN].[dbo].[Folder].[PK_Folders] AS [f]), SEEK:([f].[FolderId]=(8125)), WHERE:([StructuredFN].[dbo].[Folder].[DealId] as [f].[DealId]=(300)) ORDERED FORWARD) |--Clustered Index Seek(OBJECT:([StructuredFN].[dbo].[Folder].[PK_Folders] AS [p]), SEEK:([p].[FolderId]=[StructuredFN].[dbo].[Folder].[ParentId] as [f].[ParentId]), WHERE:([StructuredFN].[dbo].[Folder].[DealId] as [p].[DealId]=(300)) ORDERED FORWARD) Output from showstatistics io ... Table 'Folder'. Scan count 0, logical reads 4, physical reads 0, read-ahead reads 0, lob logical reads 0, lob physical reads 0, lob read-ahead reads 0. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot where these high logical reads come from on certain days, and others nothing?

  • Synergy configuration with multiple X screens

    - by Rob Drimmie
I'm having a problem figuring out how to configure synergy to behave on a system with multiple X windows. On my desktop I am running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I have two monitors, setup as separate X screens by preference as well as to enable me to rotate the left-hand monitor. I also have a laptop, which I have on the desk in front of me, lower than the other two monitors. I have a very simple synergy.conf: section: screens desktop: laptop.local: end section: links desktop: down = laptop laptop: up = desktop end It works, but on the desktop only on whichever screen I run synergys from in terminal (I haven't set it up to run at startup yet because I've been playing with the configuration). I can't find any information how to reference multiple screens on one system, and would appreciate any help.

  • Multiple Windows Desktop areas for Full-Screen applications

    - by arootbeer
Is it possible to run multiple instances of Windows Explorer within a single user session, or configure multiple desktops that are portions of a screen? I don't know the best way to describe what I want to achieve, but here's a picture of what I've got: I've got a 4 monitor setup, 3 portrait and one landscape, and I am normally running a number of RDP sessions, outlook, chrome, a development environment or two, so on and so forth. Most of these applications support full-screen views which mostly or completely hide the window borders, but on the Windows Desktop they take up a full monitor to do so. What I want to do is have 7 "desktops", "regions", call them what you will, each of which is, for the purposes of applications running in it, a "full screen" environment: I'm not tied to Windows Explorer for this, in case it helps - a different window manager that will support this functionality would be a perfectly acceptable answer.

  • Input multiple file names in windows open file dialog box

    - by goodiet
Windows 7 allows you to select multiple files to open at once by using ctrl or shift key. The "File Name" input field at the bottom of the dialog box would auto populate with the following sample: "aaa.txt" "bbb.txt" "ccc.txt" "ddd.txt" I have 14,000 files in a folder and I only need a range of files (approx 500). When I use the shift key to select a range of files, the "File Name" field auto populates all 500 file names. Windows would cut me off at the 260th character when I try to paste in a pre-generated string into the "File Name" field. Is there a way to bypass the 260 character limit so it would accept my entire string with 500 file names?

  • Samba+Windows: Allow multiple connections by different users?

    - by rgoytacaz
Hello there, I have a machine running Ubuntu with Samba that I use to share stuff with my family's Windows machines in our local network. Currently they access a share for movies/music/etc with one user. I want to connect them to another share as a different user (for example, user "goytacaz"). When I try connecting to this new share, Windows gives me "Error 1219" and complains about multiple connections by the same user. How do I get my machine to accept multiple connections by the same user?

  • Algorithm to select groups of similar items in 2d array

    - by mafutrct
There is a 2d array of items (in my case they are called Intersections). A certain item is given as a start. The task is to find all items directly or indirectly connected to this item that satisfy a certain function. So the basic algorithm is like this: Add the start to the result list. Repeat until no modification: Add each item in the array that satisfies the function and touches any item in the result list to the result list. My current implementation looks like this: private IList<Intersection> SelectGroup ( Intersection start, Func<Intersection, Intersection, bool> select) { List<Intersection> result = new List<Intersection> (); Queue<Intersection> source = new Queue<Intersection> (); source.Enqueue (start); while (source.Any ()) { var s = source.Dequeue (); result.Add (s); foreach (var neighbour in Neighbours (s)) { if (select (start, neighbour) && !result.Contains (neighbour) && !source.Contains (neighbour)) { source.Enqueue (neighbour); } } } Debug.Assert (result.Distinct ().Count () == result.Count ()); Debug.Assert (result. All (x => select (x, result.First ()))); return result; } private List<Intersection> Neighbours (IIntersection intersection) { int x = intersection.X; int y = intersection.Y; List<Intersection> list = new List<Intersection> (); if (x > 1) { list.Add (GetIntersection (x - 1, y)); } if (y > 1) { list.Add (GetIntersection (x, y - 1)); } if (x < Size) { list.Add (GetIntersection (x + 1, y)); } if (y < Size) { list.Add (GetIntersection (x, y + 1)); } return list; } (The select function takes a start item and returns true iff the second item satisfies.) This does its job and turned out to be reasonable fast for the usual array sizes (about 20*20). However, I'm interested in further improvements. Any ideas? Example (X satisfies in relation to other Xs, . does never satisfy): .... XX.. .XX. X... In this case, there are 2 groups: a central group of 4 items and a group of a single item in the lower left. Selecting the group (for instance by starting item [2, 2]) returns the former, while the latter can be selected using the starting item and sole return value [0, 3]. Example 2: .A.. ..BB A.AA This time there are 4 groups. The 3 A groups are not connected, so they are returned as separate groups. The bigger A and B groups are connected, but A does not related to B so they are returned as separate groups.

  • Help combining these two queries

    - by Horace Loeb
    I need a SQL query that returns results matched by EITHER of the following SQL queries: Query 1: SELECT "annotations".* FROM "annotations" INNER JOIN "votes" ON "votes".voteable_id = "annotations".id AND "votes".voteable_type = 'Annotation' WHERE (votes.vote = 't' AND votes.voter_id = 78) Query 2: SELECT "annotations".* FROM "annotations" INNER JOIN "songs" ON "songs".id = "annotations".song_id INNER JOIN "songs" songs_annotations ON "songs_annotations".id = "annotations".song_id INNER JOIN "users" ON "users".id = "songs_annotations".state_last_updated_by_id WHERE (annotations.referent IS NOT NULL AND annotations.updated_at < '2010-04-05 01:51:24' AND (body = '?' OR body LIKE '%[?]%') AND ((users.id = songs.state_last_updated_by_id and users.needs_edit = 'f' and songs.state != 'work_in_progress') OR (songs.state = 'published')) Here's what I tried, but it doesn't work: SELECT "annotations".* FROM "annotations" INNER JOIN "songs" ON "songs".id = "annotations".song_id INNER JOIN "songs" songs_annotations ON "songs_annotations".id = "annotations".song_id INNER JOIN "users" ON "users".id = "songs_annotations".state_last_updated_by_id INNER JOIN "votes" ON "votes".voteable_id = "annotations".id AND "votes".voteable_type = 'Annotation' WHERE ((votes.vote = 't' and votes.voter_id = 78) OR (annotations.referent IS NOT NULL and annotations.updated_at < '2010-04-05 01:43:52' and (annotations.body = '?' OR annotations.body LIKE '%[?]%') and ((users.id = songs.state_last_updated_by_id and users.needs_edit = 'f') OR songs.state = 'published')))

  • How to allow bind in app armor?

    - by WitchCraft
    Question: I did setup bind9 as described here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=12149576#post12149576 Now I have a little problem with apparmor: If I switch it off, it works. If apparmor runs, it doesn't work, and I get the following dmesg output: [ 23.809767] type=1400 audit(1344097913.519:11): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_replace" name="/sbin/dhclient" pid=1540 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.811537] type=1400 audit(1344097913.519:12): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_replace" name="/usr/lib/NetworkManager/nm-dhcp-client.action" pid=1540 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.812514] type=1400 audit(1344097913.523:13): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_replace" name="/usr/lib/connman/scripts/dhclient-script" pid=1540 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.821999] type=1400 audit(1344097913.531:14): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_load" name="/usr/sbin/mysqld" pid=1544 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.845085] type=1400 audit(1344097913.555:15): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_load" name="/usr/sbin/libvirtd" pid=1543 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.849051] type=1400 audit(1344097913.559:16): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_load" name="/usr/sbin/named" pid=1545 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.849509] type=1400 audit(1344097913.559:17): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_load" name="/usr/lib/libvirt/virt-aa-helper" pid=1542 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 23.851597] type=1400 audit(1344097913.559:18): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_load" name="/usr/sbin/tcpdump" pid=1547 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 24.415193] type=1400 audit(1344097914.123:19): apparmor="STATUS" operation="profile_replace" name="/usr/sbin/mysqld" pid=1625 comm="apparmor_parser" [ 24.738631] ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team [ 25.005242] nf_conntrack version 0.5.0 (16384 buckets, 65536 max) [ 25.187939] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): virbr0: link is not ready [ 26.004282] Ebtables v2.0 registered [ 26.068783] ip6_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team [ 28.158848] postgres (1900): /proc/1900/oom_adj is deprecated, please use /proc/1900/oom_score_adj instead. • Windows Azure: need to know the data processing time

    - by veda
I have stored some files in the form of blobs on azure and I have written an application that would access these blobs. When I host this application as a web role on azure, it works perfectly and I am happy with that. But now, I wanted to know “what is the query time taken to access each blob file?” I was searching for this through the Microsoft Azure Storage SLA and I found that for GetBlob request type, the maximum processing time should be within the product of 2 seconds multiplied by the number of MBs transferred in processing the request. I am still unclear. What is the actual processing time of my data query? How can I measure it? Can I be able to speed up the processing time? I can understand that the processing time depends on internet speed, location of the data center where my data is being stored, and location of data center where my application is being hosted. But still, will I be able to speed up my query?

  • Parameterized SQL statements vs. very simple method

    - by Philipp G
When I started to write the first SQL-Statements in my programs I felt quite comfortable with protecting myself against SQL-Injection with a very simple method that a colleague showed me. It replaced all single quotes with two single quotes. So for example there is a searchfield in which you can enter a customername to search in the customertable. If you would enter Peter's Barbershop The SELECT Statement would look like SELECT * FROM Customers WHERE Customername = 'Peter''s Barbershop' If now an attacker would insert this: ';DROP TABLE FOO; -- The statement would look like: SELECT * FROM Customers WHERE Customername = ''';DROP TABLE FOO;--' It would not drop any table, but search the customertable for the customername ';DROP TABLE FOO;-- which, I suppose, won't be found ;-) Now after a while of writing statements and protecting myself against SQL-Injection with this method, I read that many developers use parameterized statements, but I never read an article where "our" method was used. So definitely there is a good reason for it. What scenarios would parameterized statements cover but our method doesn't? What are the advantages of parameterized statements compared to our method? Thanks Philipp

  • PDO update with conditional?

    - by dmontain
I have a PDO mysql that updates 3 fields. $update = $mypdo->prepare("UPDATE tablename SET field1=:field1, field2=:field2, field3=:field3 WHERE key=:key"); But I want field3 to be updated only when $update3 = true; Is this possible to accomplish with a single query? I could do it with 2 queries where I update field1 and field2 then check the boolean and update field3 if needed in a separate query. But hopefully there is a way to accomplish this in 1 query?

  • nested linq-to-sql queries

    - by ile
var result = ( from contact in db.Contacts join user in db.Users on contact.CreatedByUserID equals user.UserID orderby contact.ContactID descending select new ContactListView { ContactID = contact.ContactID, FirstName = contact.FirstName, LastName = contact.LastName, Company = (from field in contact.XmlFields.Descendants("Company") select field.Value).SingleOrDefault().ToString() }).Take(10); Here I described how my database tables look like. So, contacts table has one field that is xml type. In that field is stored Company filename and I need to read it. I tried it using this way: Company = (from field in contact.XmlFields.Descendants("Company") select field.Value).SingleOrDefault().ToString() }).Take(10); but I get following error: Member access 'System.String Value' of 'System.Xml.Linq.XElement' not legal on type 'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[System.Xml.Linq.XElement]. Any solution for this? Thanks in advance, Ile

  • Authenticate sites with different domain names using the Facebook API

    - by Onema
We have a CMS that supports multiple sites, one of our features allows our users (The site admin) to connect to the site facebook account to allow status updates, create events and upload pictures to FB from with in the CMS. The authentication needs to occur once since each site may have multiple site admins that do not have access to the site FB user name and password. We use iframe and authenticate using $facebook-require_login() which redirects the user to the FB login and authentication pages. All this works just fine but when the user hits "Allow" the authentication will break as it will only redirect to whatever is in the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" field making the app obsolete for any other domain except the one in the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" I know other API's authentication methods like in Vimeo and YouTube will allow you to specify a NEXT parameter which is the equivalent of the "Post-Authorize Redirect URL" and it can be set at run time. How can I make this work for multiple domain names? Any hints on this issue will be of great help
