  • Preserving the dimensions of a slice from a Numpy 3d array

    I have a 3d array, a, of shape say a.shape = (10, 10, 10) When slicing, the dimensions are squeezed automatically i.e. a[:,:,5].shape = (10, 10) I'd like to preserve the number of dimensions but also ensure that the dimension that was squeezed is the one that shows 1 i.e. a[:,:,5].shape = (10, 10, 1) I have thought of re-casting the array and passing ndmin but that just adds the extra dimensions to the start of the shape tuple regardless of where the slice came from in the array a.

  • Android 2.1 address bar causes change in viewport dimensions

    Hi, I have a page that has a 100% width and height div in it (all surrounding elements are sized accordingly so that it does actually achieve 100% width and height). Below that div I have a second div with a fixed height. In mobile safari and blackberry everything is fine, when the page loads the dimensions are applied correctly (the top div filling the viewport) and the user can scroll down to reveal the second div. Android 2.1 also applies the dimensions correctly, but with an added quirk; when the user scrolls down and removes the address bar from the page, the dimensions of the div are recalculated to fill the viewport, causing the content to jump. Ideally I would like the dimensions of the div to remain static when the page is scrolled, but remain 100% so that it will fill the viewport regardless of device size or orientation. Does anyone know of any way to disable this recalculation? Thanks for any help you can provide.

    I have some data that are retried from the cloudwatch api's. Specifically I have used listMetrics. The data that I got from this call is : {Metrics: [{Namespace: Metric from grails, MetricName: hello123, Dimensions: [{Name: name, Value: 1425, }], }, {Namespace: Metric from grails, MetricName: hello123, Dimensions: [{Name: name, Value: 1068, }], }, That was the correct data as I would expect. I need a way to return only the value fields. Not others things. Is there any way to do this, in java? Thanks in advance.

  • Wrong image dimensions when it's dynamically loaded on a page the 1st time

    I have the following piece of Javascript code on my web-page var central_image = document.createElement("img") central_image.setAttribute("src", imgs[curr_image_no - 1]); central_image.setAttribute("name", "jpeg"); document.getElementById("photo").appendChild(central_image); central_image.onload = getDimensions(); //function that alerts image dimensions Now, when the central_image is loaded for the 1st time in Firefox, its height always equals to 0. In IE its dimensions are 28 x 30 pixels. When I reload image, its dimensions are OK in both browsers. I guess the problem is that function getDimensions() starts before image was loaded completely. How to change that?

    I'm using jagged arrays and have a bit of a problem (or at least I think I do). The size of these arrays are determined by how many rows are returned in a database, so it is very variable. The only solution I have is to set the dimensions of the array to be very huge, but this seems ... just not the best way to do things. int[][] hulkSmash = new int[10][]; hulkSmash[0] = new int[2] {1,2}; How can I work with jagged arrays without setting the dimensions, or is this just a fact of life with C# programming??

  • Linked Measure Groups and Local Dimensions

    Mulling over something I've been reading up on. According to Chris Webb, A linked measure group can only be used with dimensions from the same database as the source measure group. So I took this to mean as long as two cubes share a database, a linked measure group can be used with a dimension. So I created a new cube and added a local measure group, a local dimension and a linked measure group. However, I can't create a relationship between the linked measure group and the local dimension even though they are within the same database. I get the message below: Regular relationships in the current database between non-linked (local) dimensions and linked measure groups cannot be edited. These relationship can only be created through the wizard. This dialog can be used to delete these relationships. I see that I can go to the original cube and add the dimension there, but does the message below mean I have an alternative? I just know it's going to be something simple and trivial!     On a website that I maintain I am required to edit hundreds of images to have a certain canvas size. The images come in all different shapes and sizes. I am trying to figure out a way to automatically edit them so that I dont have to write ineffective AHK scripts to do it. Is there a feature inside of Photoshop (cs3) to do this?   • UIImageView dimensions not what I set in IB

    I set a UIImageView to 70x70 pixels. In the actual view they look 70px high and 30 wide. This is when there is no source UIImage set and with a background color so I can see it's layout. However, when I do set a UIImage to it the layout does not change, remains portrait. Is there something I am overlooking that affects the layout dimensions of a UIImage or UIImageView? Thanks.

    Hi, I've got a K-nearest neighbour problem where some of the dimensions are closed loops. For example one is 'time of day' and I'm matching for similarity so 'very early morning' is close to 'late evening', you can't just make it a linear scale from 'very early morning' at one end to 'late evening' at the other. How can I represent this in the data model? Is there an established way to handle this or a way to work around it?

  • HTML Chrome Audit Specify Image Dimensions

    I just started using the chrome developer tools for some basic html websites and I used the audit tool. I had two identical images, one with the height and width attribute, and one without. On the Resources section, both the latency and the download time were identical. However, the Audit showed Specify image dimensions (1) A width and height should be specified for all images in order to speed up page display. Does this actually help? And are there any other ways to speed up page time? This is only a splash page for the website I am building and as such it is only html, no css or javascript or anything. I have already compressed the images but I want to speed up load time even more. Is there a way?

Is there a way to make sure my iframe is visible before $(document).ready(...) gets called? Other than using setTimeout to delay jScrollPane, which is something I definitely want to avoid.
