  • GitLab post-receive hook not firing

    Apologies if this isn't the right stackexchange. I have a GitLab install. It was installed over the top of a gitolite install that was only a few days old, and I assume this non-standard setup is at the root of my problem, but I cannot pin it down. The problem is straightforward: post-receive hooks are not fired. This prevents 'project activity' appearing in GitLab.   • NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate in a second view controller (not firing?)

    I am running into an issue similar to the one described here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1319940/nsfetchedresultscontrollerdelegate-not-firing (the delegate for my NSFetchedResultsControllerDelegate are not being called on my second view controller) I can't seem to get the proposed solutions to work. I have a main view that loads information from Core Data just fine, but when it pushes a separate controller (and passes the managed object to it), the delegate methods won't fire. I've read about 'mergeChangesFromContextDidSaveNotification' but I don't understand how to synchronize the two manage objects and/or get the delegate methods to be called. [because TAB2 text boxes are still empty] & When I am filling all the textboxes [Both Tab1 & Tab2], button is firing correctly. How to avoid this ?? I mean user has to fill details for the TAB1 & can submit the details. At that Time I don't want TAB2 validations to work. Please help & kindly let me know if anything else is required.

  • TabPage Validating event firing when clicked on the currently selected tab

    I'm doing things as said in How do I prevent the user from changing the selected tab page in a TabControl? Things are working fine. But the validating event of tabpage1 occurs if I've tabpage1 is currently selected and user clicks on tabpage1 itself. and later when user clicks on tabpage2 validating event for tabpage1 doesn't fire. What happens is if I do e.Cancel in validating event of tabpage1, in the above case, when user clicks on tabpage1 by mistake having tabpage1 already selected, it will prompt user that "Do you want to stay on current tab to save data or move from the current tab?". and if user clicks Stay but doesn't do any changes. And then when he correctly clicks tabpage2, Validating event of tabpage1 is not firing. I've uploaded the sample application here. You can run and see the behavior to properly understand the problem

  • How do I get my custom requiredif attribute to prevent other attributes from firing

    I'm working on an MVC application. I've decorated a property with EqualTo found here: http://dataannotationsextensions.org/EqualTo/Create As well as a custom RequiredIf attribute as suggested here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/simonince/archive/2011/02/04/conditional-validation-in-asp-net-mvc-3.aspx My issue is that even when the field is supposed to be required and isn't the EqualTo logic is firing. So I get error messages saying the field is required but also that the field doesn't match. If I replace the Requiredif with a regular Required only the Required message will show. What I'm trying to figure out is how the EqualTo logic is prevented when combined with the Required attribute but not prevented when combined with my custom RequiredIf. Any suggestions would be most appreciated, I've been racking my brain most of the day trying to figure out the mvc internals around Required.

Now problem occurs when i execute the page, it executes javascript but server side code doesnot fire, but if i remove this line onchange="javascript:return ChangeHeader();" then server side code fires. when i checked source page it shows me two onchange events associated one for javascript and other for server side. i think that it is picking client side code and neglects server side. I am not pretty sure, so i want to know the behavior reason. And what is the way out for this. i want server and client side code to be executed. i have searched for solutions but i have not found any correct reason. please reply for the same.   • WPF - LayoutUpdated event firing repeatedly

    I've been adding a bit of animation to my WPF application. Thanks to Dan Crevier's unique solution to animating the children of a panel combined with the awesome WPF Penner animations it turned out to be fairly straightforward to make one of my controls look great and have its children move about with some nice animation. Unfortunately this all comes with a performance overhead. I'm happy to have the performance hit when items are added/removed or the control is resized, but it seems that this perf hit occurs consistently throughout the application's lifetime, even when items are completely static. The PanelLayoutAnimator class uses an attached property to hook the UIElement.LayoutUpdated.aspx) event. When this event fires, render transforms are animated to cause the children to glide to their new positions. Unfortunately it seems that the LayoutUpdated event fires every second or so, even when nothing is happening in the application (at least I don't think my code's doing anything -- the app doesn't have focus and the mouse is steady.) As the reason for the event is not immediately apparent to the event handler, all children of the control have to be reevaluated. This event is being called about once a second when idle. The frequency increases when actually using the app. So my question is, how can I improve the performance here? Any answer that assists would be appreciated, but I'm currently stuck on these sub-questions: What causes the LayoutUpdated event to fire so frequently? Is this supposed to happen, and if not, how can I find out why it's firing and curtail it? Is there a more convenient way within the handler to know whether something has happened that might have moved children? If so, I could bail out early and avoid the overhead of looping each child. For now I will work around this issue by disabling animation when there are more than N children in the panel.

  • Android: How to keep onItemSelected from firing off on a newly instantiated Spinner

    I've thought of some less than elegant ways to solve this, but I know I must be missing something. My onItemSelected fires off immediately without any interaction with the user, and this is undesired behavior. I wish for the UI to wait until the user selects something before it does anything. I even tried setting up the listener in the onResume, hoping that would help, but it doesn't. How can I stop this from firing off before the user can touch the control?   • ASP.NET required field validator firing on focus in Firefox

    I have 2 asp.net textboxes in an update panel. Both textbox controls have some javascript attached to autotab to the next field and to allow only numeric input. When I enter some data into the first field and press enter, focus shifts to the next field and the requiredfieldvalidator of the second field displays its "* required" error message, even though I've just entered the field. This is only happening in Firefox.     I've got a drop-down where the user selects a Country. It is a required "field". Next to it, there is a textfield named State. If the user selects US, then the field State is required. If the user selects e.g. Sweden, the State is not required, since Sweden has no states.   • Event OnClick ASP:LinkButton not firing with jquery overlay

    Hi there, So i have this: <asp:LinkButton runat="server" id="lkbTomeChichi" class="modalInput contratacionVinculos" rel="#prueba" OnClick="PruebaBrava" >LinkPrueba</asp:LinkButton> <div id="prueba" class="simple_overlayFondoBlanco" style="margin: auto; z-index: 99;"> hola como está todo ;) </div> and i have this: <script type="text/javascript"> function pageLoad() { var triggers = $("a.modalInput").overlay({ // some expose tweaks suitable for modal dialogs expose: { color: '#333', loadSpeed: 200, opacity: 0.3, zIndex: 99 }, top: '25%', closeOnClick: true }); } </script> as you can see i'm using a LinkButton who transforms into an 'a' tag on rendering so jquery pageLoad function can use it to show an overlay. My problem is i need the 'OnClick="PruebaBrava' to execute before the overlay shows. If i use a button instead of a LinkButton it works perfectly but i need to use the linkbutton and with it that event is not firing. What can i do? Thankyou all very much for your answers ;)

  • MS Access form_current() firing multiple times

    I have a form with two subforms (on separate tab pages). It's an MDB project in Access 2003. When it initially opens, Form_Current on the active subform fires once, as it should. But when you move to another record (ie. from the main form), it fires Form_Current on the active subform 4 times. Then subsequent record-moves result in Form_Current firing 2 times. This is a pain, because the subforms have a lot of fields that get moved and/or hidden and so it jumps around for every Form_Current, not to mention being slow. I am opening the form with a filter via DoCmd.OpenForm (actually it sends the filter in via OpenArgs). FilterOn is only set once, in Form_Open on the main form, never in the subforms. Form_Current is not called explicitly anywhere else in the code. When I look at the call stack when Form_Current fires moving the first time, it looks like: my_subform.Form_Current [<Debug Window>] my_subform.Form_Current So it seems like something in Form_Current is triggering another Form_Current event. But only on the first record move. The code in Form_Current is somewhat complex, involving custom classes and event callbacks, but generally does not touch the table data. The only thing I can think might be triggering a Form_Current is that it checks OldValue on form controls - could this be causing it? Or anything else come to mind? Thanks. Eric

  • Buttons OnClick Event not firing when it causes a textboxes onChange event to fire first

    I have a few textboxes and button to save their values on a webpage. The onchange event of the textboxes fires some js which adds the changed text to a js array. The ok button when clicked flushes this to the database via a webservice. This works fine except when the onchange event is caused by clicking the ok button. In this scenario the onchange of the textboxes still fires but the onClick event of the button does not. Any ideas? textboxes look something like <input name="ctrlJPView$tbcTabContainer$Details$JP_Details_Address2Text" type="text" value="test" id="ctrlJPView_tbcTabContainer_Details_JP_Details_Address2Text" onchange="addSaveDetails('Jobs###' + document.getElementById('ctrlJPView_tbcTabContainer_Details_JP_Details_Address2Text').value + ');" style="font-size:8pt;Left:110px;Top:29px;Width:420px;Height:13px;Position:absolute;" /> My save button <input type="button" name="ctrlJPView$btnOk" value="OK" onclick="saveAmendments();refreshJobGrids();return false;__doPostBack('ctrlJPView$btnOk','')" id="ctrlJPView_btnOk" class="ControlText" style="width:60px;" /> UPDATE: I guess this comes down to one of two things. 1) Something is happening before the onClick of the button gets called to surpress that call such as an inadvertent return false; or 2) the onClick event isn't firing at all. Now I've rem'd out everything actually inside the functions that are being called beforehand but the problem persists. But if i remove the call altogether it works (???)
