  Hi, I am trying to connect to a public FTP server that allows anonymous connexions. The server is fr2.rpmfind.net and it works from my terminal ftp fr2.rpmfind.net Connected to mandril.creatis.insa-lyon.fr. Now I have another terminal with SSH to a remote machine and for the same command this is what I get: ftp: connect: Connection refused How can I get a connection refused if FTP server allows anonymous connexions?

  Hi, I am having some problems with manipulating a one dimensional string array in vb.net and would like your assistance please. My objective is to get 4 variables (if possible) from a file path. these variables are: myCountry, myCity, myStreet, Filename. All declared as string. The file location is also declared as string. so I have: Dim filePath As String to illustrate my problem and what I am trying to do I have the following examples: 1- C:\my\location\is\UK\Birmingham\Summer Road\this house.txt. In this example myCountry would be= UK. myCity= Birmingham. myStreet=Summer Road. Filename=this house.txt 2- C:\my Location\is\France\Lyon\that house.txt. here myCountry=France. myCity=Lyon. There is no street. Filename=that house.txt 3- C:\my Location is\Germany\the other house.txt Here myCountry=Germany. No city. No street. Filename=the other house.txt What I am trying to say is I have no idea before hand about the lenght of the string or the position of the variables I want. I also don't know if I am going to find/get a city or street name in the path. However I do now that i will get myCountry and it will be one of 5 options: UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy. To tackle my problem, the first thing I did was Dim pathArr() As String = filePath.Split("\") to get the FileName I did: FileName = pathArr.Last To get myCountry I did: If filePath.Contains("UK") Then myCountry = "UK" ElseIf filePath.Contains("France") Then myCountry = "France" ElseIf filePath.Contains("Germany") Then myCountry = "Germany" ElseIf filePath.Contains("Spain") Then myCountry = "Spain" ElseIf filePath.Contains("Italy") Then myCountry = "Italy" End If in trying to figure out myCity and myStreet (and whether they exist in the string in the first place) I started with: Dim ind As Integer = Array.IndexOf(pathArr, myCountry) to get the index of the myCountry string.   Hi - I'm developing a property rentals website. The search results page will contain a list of property results. It is my intention to redefine the results, say by town, country, property type etc. So let's say for example the user searches 'France'. All of the relative properties will be returned and displayed in a list. However, I also need to reuse this array, to display only unique town names from the search results array. e.g. Montpellier, Lyon, Rennes, Nice etc. The idea is when use user click on 'Nice', only the 'Nice' properties would return. I would also like to display how many properties are in that town. The closest example as to what I want to achieve. http://www.miaandmaggie.com/dog-collars-leashes.html Any ideas how I can use my search array to display the unique towns of the search? Many thanks!   I'm trying to LEFT JOIN two tables, to get a list of all rows from TABLE_1 and ONE related row from TABLE_2. I have tried LEFT JOIN and GROUP BY c_id, however I wan't the related row from TABLE_2 to be sorted by isHeadOffice DESC. Here are some sample tables TABLE 1 c_id Name ---------------- 1 USA 2 Canada 3 England 4 France 5 Spain TABLE2 o_id c_id Office isHeadOffice ------------------------------------------------ 1 1 New York 1 2 1 Washington 0 3 1 Boston 0 4 2 Toronto 0 5 3 London 0 6 3 Manchester 1 7 4 Paris 1 8 4 Lyon 0 So what I am trying to get from this would be something like: RESULTS c_id Name Office ---------------------------- 1 USA New York 2 Canada Toronto 3 England Manchester 4 France Paris 5 Spain NULL I'm using PHP & MySQL.   Four luminaries in the Java community have been selected as new Java Champions. The are Agnes Crepet, Lars Vogel, Yara Senger and Martijn Verburg. They were selected for their technical knowledge, leadership, inspiration, and tireless work for the community. Here is how they rock the Java world: Agnes Crepet Agnes Crepet (France) is a passionate technologist with over 11 years of software engineering experience, especially in the Java technologies, as a Developer, Architect, Consultant and Trainer. She has been using Java since 1999, implementing multiple kinds of applications (from 20 days to 10000 men days) for different business fields (banking, retail, and pharmacy). Currently she is a Java EE Architect for a French pharmaceutical company, the homeopathy world leader. In the table row I would like a secondary mysql merge block based on the id column that the primary (items) mysql table has. This means that ideally I would love to do this. $TBS->MergeBlock("fields",$conn,"SELECT * FROM items WHERE categoryid = [items.id]"); So then when I used [fields.value;block=div] inside the table row, it would pick up the a row from the fields table based on the primary mysql query. It would recognise what the id is for the merged block and perform a mysql query based on a variable that that block has. So that's what I would like to do and that's what I call a secondary mysql merge block.
