  • installed mysql using yum but mysqld dowsnt start: Fedora 16

    i installed mysql mysql-server and mysql-libs ... after installation i thought to start the mysql service using command systemctl start mysqld.service Failed to issue method call: Unit mysqld.service failed to load: Invalid argument. See system logs and 'systemctl status mysqld.service' for details. systemctl status mysqld.service this said that it had an invalid argument then i changed the content of mysqld.service with this File: /etc/systemd/system/mysqld.service [Unit] Description=MySQL database server After=syslog.target After=network.target [Service] User=mysql Group=mysql ExecStart=/usr/sbin/mysqld --pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid ExecStop=/bin/kill -15 $MAINPID PIDFile=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid # We rely on systemd, not mysqld_safe, to restart mysqld if it dies Restart=always # Place temp files in a secure directory, not /tmp PrivateTmp=true [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target now i found that the error for invalid argument was resolved and mysqld.service was loaded but not enabled ... using systemctl start mysqld.service worked fine ... it workedddd! but then enabling it systemctl enable mysqld.service or service mysqld start did not do anything but the curdor kept on blinking after i pressed enter ... now the thing is that for this f16 i wasted my HDD space for development work and i cannot figure out a way ... please somebody help

  • Trouble in Team Viewer VPN Connection

    I have completed initial vpn connection setup. It has connected. I have tested with ping and it is ok. My problem is, when I want to start file transfer in VPN it asks for username & password. So what is the user name? I have tried giving Computer-Name/User-Name. I have found my Computer Name by going to Control Panel/System/ & clicking 'Computer Name' tab & username from user accounts or it is shown when I login in windows account (Please correct me if the above procedure is wrong). But what is the password? I have tried giving the account password but it always give 'The username or password is incorrect.' My Question: How to find the username & password? For Information: a) I have Team Viewer 7 installed in one Windows XP PC & one Windows 8 PC. I like to create a secure connection between these two PCs. b) The two PCs are connected in the same local network via a router. Please ask if you need additional information.

  • Windows server 2008 R2 error :The page file is to small to complete the action

    I have a windows server 2008 R2 standard edition. The system suddenly stopped accepting remote desktop connections. When I tried to connect directly to the console, I am unable to start any applications. I got errors "The page file is to small to complete the action". Under takmanager in performance the system shows "Commit(GB) 127/127". What does this imply? The system has 32 GB ram, 5 raid disks each 150 Gb

  • Cannot open any applications on windows server 2008 R2 Standard edition

    I have a server running on Windows server 2008 R2. It is recently added as a member of a domain. I am not able to start any applications in thew server. When I tried to open Event viewer it errored out saying "The page file is to small to complete the action". I am experiencing same problem when I tried to open Sql server Management studio, task scheduler or any other application. The windows server serves as a production database server, but our applications are not experiencing any problems. Can someone please help?

A domain user account was created with same username and password as my previous local administrator account. Now I unable to login using my local account. I tried loggin in using SERVERNAME\Username, but it is giving incorrect password error message. Is there any way I can retrieve or create a new local administrator account on a domain computer

  • EC2: is an instance's public DNS stable? Can I rely on it not changing?

    I'm new to Amazon EC2. I've launched my first instance, and am using it as a web server. I see that it has a public DNS (a public URL), e.g.: ec2-123-45-6-789.compute-1.amazonaws.com I can successfully go to this server in my browser, hit it via cURL, etc. I want to use this web server for a back-end service in an app I'm building, so I placed this URL in my app's config, and it works great. But when I manually stop and re-started my instance, I see that the public DNS changes! I've read that this happens when you explicitly stop and re-start, but doesn't happen if you just "reboot". I don't plan on explicitly stopping and re-starting this server ever, but my question is: will this public DNS ever change on its own for any reason? E.g. if the machine abnormally crashes, or whatever. In other words, is it safe to ship an app that's wired to this URL? Thanks!

    I'm working on a utility to update a list of entities in a database as a group. The database contains a list of entities. The result of the update is a new list. The API accepts this new list. The update may end up modifying some of the entities in the list, creating new ones and deleting some. So at the entity level, I may have to do any of an insert, delete or update operation. But it's always true that the final list in the database will be the same as the list passed down to the API. Is there in Hibernate a way to treat this operation at the list level, that is, tell Hibernate to persist this list of entities, and let it take care of which need to be created, updated or deleted? There is no entity/table representing this list, btw. Just the entities themselves in a table.

  • Android: writing a file to sdcard

    I'm trying to write a file from an Http post reply to a file on the sdcard. Everything works fine until the byte array of data is retrieved. I've tried setting WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission in the manifest and tried many different combinations of tutorials I found on the net. All I could find was using the openFileOutput("",MODE_WORLD_READABLE) method, of the activity but how my app writes file is by using a thread. Specifically, a thread is invoked from another thread when a file has to be written, so giving an activity object didn't work even though I tried it. The app has come a long way and I cannot change how the app is currently written. Please, someone help me?     i have recently find the solution that how i can retrieve the fileupload id when page is linked with masterpage in codebehind as ContentPlaceHolder content = Page.Master.FindControl("ContentPlaceHolder1") as ContentPlaceHolder; Fileupload f=content.FindControl("FileUpload1") as FileUpload; in my contentplaceholeder1 i have a dropdownlist with id dropdownlist1 now i m trying to use it in one of the cs file of dll file as if (previousFields.ContainsKey("dropdownlist1")) { prefix = previousFields["dropdownlist1"]; } where dropdownload list is the previos field of fileupload so it checks the previos field and assign the prefix to the corresponding value.nw i want to know how can i access the dropdownlist id within contentplaceholder1 id
