• What are the names of default indicators in Ubuntu 11.10?

  How are they called? It is useful for configuring them via dconf, reporting bugs and so on but hard to find out. I remember there was similar wuestion for 11:04 but cannot find it. These are the indicators on my system: There are ten, the last one on the left is Tomboy, the rest is more or less default (the second from the left is displayed only if more than one keybord layout is used). What are their names?

  I have done my due diligence in investigating this and not had any success yet. Being rather green with JavaScript I am seeking some help. I am wanting to display the date NOV2012<br> 2^nd<br> 5:00 PM I have everything working (not my script) except being able to get the date suffix to change to st, nd, rd, or th as the case may be. • What is the difference between Startup programs in windows and the same programs being started manually

  I am no Windows guy, but I am trying to get a seamless integration of Windows program through Virtual Box Windows guest onto my Ubuntu machine. I more or less followed this tutorial: https://nowhere.dk/articles/running-windows-applications-natively-with-seamlessrdp Basically I start up Windows in Virtual Box and then I try to launch an application (on Ubuntu host) like this: rdesktop -A -s "c:\Program Files\ThinLinc\WTSTools\seamlessrdpshell.exe notepad.exe" 192.168.123.103:3389 -u user -p password That just gives me full Windows desktop that I do not want. However, when I run (on the Windows guest) "c:\Program Files\ThinLinc\WTSTools\seamlessrdpshell.exe" "notepad" The command above works and I get just the window I want. Now, so I thought I would put this command into startup folder of the Windows machine and everything would be fine. But it says "Unable to set up the virtual channel". (by googling, I nailed it to this file: https://sourceforge.net/p/rdesktop/code/1686/tree/seamlessrdp/trunk/ServerExe/vchannel.c - the warning is triggered (by main.c in the same directory) when function vchannel_open() returns something that C interprets as yes for if condition). I have no idea why it works when I launch this command manually via a bat file and not when I put it to startup programs. Any ideas?

• One way sync with either Dropbox or Google drive on linux and windows

  I could not google this one. I would like to use Dropbox or Google drive only as backup, so I would like to ensure I only upload to those services and never download (unless done manually via the web interface). There would be several of us uploading stuff to one account, so we would need to ensure we don't accidentaly delete something on another guy's machine by doing some changes on our local machine. Is there a simple way to do this automatically - i.e. by running a daemon that will upload eveyuthing in a given folder but never download anything? I am on linux, so that complicates things a bit, but I am also interested in windows solutions.

• Xmodmap: six characters to one key and two layouts?

  I know how to have six symbols on one key thanks to this question: Xmodmap: Six characters to one key? However, when I have two layouts and switch them, weird things happen. I have the following (well, different, but this is easier to talk about) line in my xmodmap: keycode 31 = a A b B c C When I log in, everything works as you would expect. Pressing key 31 give a, with Shift A, with AltGr c and C respectively and with ISO_Level3_Shift. However, when I change the layout, key 31 gives me b and B with shift and c and C with AltGr. This is on Ubuntu 11.10 under Ubuntu. Does anybody undestand what is happening? Could I restrict xmodmap to just one layout?

• SCCM 2012 Clients no longer detecting

  Here is the scenario I had a fully functioning SCCM 2012 site server with the DP, MP, SUP, Application catalog, etc. roles configured and working. There is only one server on this site. Everything was great but i was not happy with SUP, so i decided to create a separate WSUS server and configure Windows Updates through GPOs. That setup worked great as well so i went ahead and removed the SUP role from SCCM and removed the WSUS feature from my SCCM server (they were configured on the same SCCM Server). I did not notice any problems right away. A couple days later i noticed that the OSD deployments were giving errors, and after a couple hours of trying suggestions from Google, i was able to uninstall PXE and make a few changes and reinstall with WDS to get it working again. Again, thought everything was fine and continued on. The last couple days i have noticed that any new machine deployed or installing the Client will show in the SCCM console as "No" Client. The client machines will show connected to a site but the software center shows "IT Organization" instead of our site like the previous clients. The existing clients all seem to be functioning normally. they still receive application distributions and configuration baselines, etc. Reinstalling, uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing does not fix the problems and this happens on all new clients. ClientLocation.log shows it connecting to the correct MP.   In my current LDAP schema I have an objectclass (let's call it group) that has 2 attributes that extend userpassword. Like this: attributeType ( groupAttributes:12 NAME 'groupPassword1' SUP userPassword SINGLE-VALUE ) attributeType ( groupAttributes:13 NAME 'groupPassword2' SUP userPassword SINGLE-VALUE ) group extends organisation so already has a userpassword attribute. If I use that to enter a new group using PHPLDAPAdmin it uses SSHA (by default) and encrypts/hashes the password I entered. But the passwords I entered for groupPassword1 en groupPassword2 don't get encrypted. Is there a way to make it so that those attributes are encrypted too?

• jquery tabs changing on change?

  Hello, I have two tabs each with different styles and different text. One recent posts and one recent comments the css for each are below with the ones I need to have when they are selected. So pretty much when a user selects the recent comments it will change the entire block to the second one (2). Pretty much changing width, and swapping the css for both tabs. I am currently using idtabs http://www.sunsean.com/idTabs/ My question: How can I have it change the tab css and width for both when the right tab is selected and then back again when the left tab is selected. • current page highlights on child pages

  Im trying to achieve current page highlights on wordpress similar to this site Alex Soth. I'm very nearly there with my css. At present i have current page highlights on pages, ie. home,calendar, projects. However when it come to current page highlights on child pages i have a problem. the indented child page list appears on hover when selecting a child page, but after page selection the menu reverts back to the standard pages menu with no visible child menus? unlike the link to the Alex Soth site where the extended menu stays and current page is highlighted I know that the answer will be a simple piece of css involving current_page_item and possible position:relative to obtain the menu staying visible after selection. But i can for the life of me work it out. Is there some kind of easy workaround to this problem, or is it even possible by doing custom serialization via IXmlSerializable? Or should I just use XmlDocument or XmlReader/XmlWriter to process these documents?

• Add newlines to a text resource in Android?

  I have a custom Dialog that contains only a TextView to display some text in my application. The documentation lists that only the b, i, u, tt, big, small, sup, sub, and strike tags are supported. I really need to add some newlines for readability. Do I need to change to a more complicated layout, or is there some way to encode newlines in the resource? I tried adding br tags, but that did not help.
