  • Tree and List on the same page

    Hi All! Using Grails and the RichUI plugin to display a tree, and it works fine. When I click one of the Nodes in the tree I show a list(table) from a controller. I should be able to create new, edit and sort. My problem is that pagination doesn't work and also sorting!!! Are there anyone who has done this, or can it be done differently ? Best Regards Jamie

  • How to make my URL mapping case insensitive?

    Grails, by default, is case-sensitive when mapping URL to controller actions or views. For instance, www.mywebsite.com/book/list will work BUT www.mywebsite.com/Book/list will return a 404 page. What can I do (code snippets are welcomed) to make my URL case-insensitive (i.e. www.mywebsite.com/Book/list being a valid url) ?

    I am trying to use Haml with Grails but I am having some issues. The plugin for haml has errors to parse empty lines. The plugin generate gsp files, so I think that I can use the online haml html generator. Bug I want something like an editor with syntax highlithing, blocks, etc, and that generate html.     There is a bug in Grails preventing me from using removeFrom* when the node I'm trying to remove is extending the collection type. Removing the node directly from the association won't update the second level cache. A hasMany B Is there any way to manually invalidate or force a reload on an association cache? Invoking refresh() on the many side didn't do the trick.

    I'm trying to use gorm find method on my domain class, inside of an Spock Integration Spec. My code: class myDomainClassSpec extends IntegrationSpec{ ... def 'my test'() { when: ... then: MyDomainClass.find { id == 1 } } ... } This fails, throwing: groovy.lang.MissingPropertyException: No such property: id for class: grails.gorm.DetachedCriteria If instead I code: MyDomainClass.findAll().find { id == 1 } it works. Any ideas??

    Hi I'm fighting to get the following mapping working in Grails 1.3.1 and MySQL: class Login { int id String email static mappings = { table 'my_table' id column: "Mgr_id" version: false } } No matter what I do the queries that are being issued refer to "schema.login" table instead of "schema.my_table". This is very frustrating... Can anyone answer why this might not be working?

  • Creating JMS Queues at runtime.

    I am working on an application where the app user can create / delete queues . Also , he would be able to move a message from 1 queue to another, delete a message , rearrange the messages in the queue based on some filter. One possible design is to use activemq for queues and apache camel for various other operations having integrated with Grails. But I am not sure whether ActiveMQ allows creation /deleltion queues at runtime. Would this be a good choice to implement such system?

    I am currently working with User objects -- each of which have many Goal objects. The Goal objects are not User specific, that is, Users can share the same Goal. I am attempting to fashion a way to calculate a "similarity percentage" between two Users... (i.e., taking into account how many Goals they share as well as how many Goals they do not share) Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?     I have a problem with the mapping of Oracle Float double precision datatype to Java Double datatype. The hibernate schema validator seems to fail when the Java Double datatype is used. org.hibernate.HibernateException: Wrong column type in DB.TABLE for column amount. Found: float, expected: double precision The only way to avoid this is to disable schema validation and hope the schema is in sync with the app about to run. I must fix this before it goes out to production. App's evironment: - Grails 1.2.1 - Hibernate-core 3.3.1.GA - Oracle 10g

  • Django vs. Pylons

    I've recently become a little frustrated with Django as a whole. It seems like I can't get full control over anything. I love Python to death, but I want to be able (and free) to do something as simple as adding a css class to an auto-generated form. One MVC framework that I have really been enjoying working with is Grails (groovy). It has a FANTASTIC templating system and it lets you really have full control as you'd like. However, I am beyond obsessed with Python. So I'd like to find something decent and powerful written in it for my web application development. Any suggestions? Pylons maybe?
