    - by Rosarch
    I'm trying to use this tooltip plugin: http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-tooltip/. I can't seem to get it to work. <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/JQuery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/jquery.json-2.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/jquery.form.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/js-lib/jquery.bgiframe.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/js-lib/jquery.delegate.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/js-lib/jquery.dimensions.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/jquery.tooltip.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/sprintf.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/static/clientside.js"></script> </head> I try it out in a simple example: clientside.js: $(document).ready(function () { $("#set1 *").tooltip(); }); The target html: <div id="set1"> <p id="welcome">Welcome. What is your email?</p> <form id="form-username-form" action="api/user_of_email" method="get"> <p> <label for="form-username">Email:</label> <input type="text" name="email" id="form-username" /> <input type="submit" value="Submit" id="form-submit" /> </p> </form> <p id="msg-user-accepted"></p> </div> Unfortunately, nothing happens.   • My Perforce Eclipse Plugin works only partially

    - by Eye of the Storm
Hi all, I installed Perforce plugin version 3.4 on Eclipse Ganymede, configured my connection and workspace. My perforce perspective works just fine. However, when I work in the Java perspective, and I right-click any file in the project explorer, the "Team" context menu does not display the perforce options to check-out, sync etc. It only has the options "Apply patch" and "Show local history". This is super-annoying! Help, anyone?

So, what's the logic of a simple plugin system?

  • maven plugin configuration

    - by Don
Hi, When writing a Maven plugin, you can configure various parameters within the mojo class, e.g. /** * The path to the properties files. * * @parameter expression="${project.build.directory}" */ private File buildDir; Is there a reference that lists all the available project properties (e.g. ${project.build.directory})? For example, how do I get the value of the resources directory? Thanks, Don

  • header redirect in Wordpress Plugin?

    - by Kristopher
I'm writing a Wordpress plugin, and based on certain circumstances, I want to redirect to a different page, but the redirect never happens. headers_sent() returns false. I'm using the pre_get_posts hook. Here is a small snippet: function test_redirect() { header("Location: http://www.cnn.com/"); } add_action('pre_get_posts', 'test_redirect'); The redirect never happens, and no errors are reported on the page or in the error log. Why can't I redirect?

  • Multi Module Project - Assembly plugin

    - by user209947
I am using Maven 2.0.9 to build a multi module project. I have defined the assembly plugin in my parent pom. I can get my assemblies built using mvn install assembly:assembly This command runs the tests twice, once during install phase and another during assembly. I tried assembly:single but it throws an error. Any help to get my assemblies built without running the tests twice is much appreciated.

  • Best way to implement plugin framework - are DLLs the only way (C/C++ project)?

    - by Microkernel
Introduction: I am currently developing a document classifier software in C/C++ and I will be using Naive-Bayesian model for classification. But I wanted the users to use any algorithm that they want(or I want in the future), hence I went to separate the algorithm part in the architecture as a plugin that will be attached to the main app @ app start-up. Hence any user can write his own algorithm as a plugin and use it with my app. Problem Statement: The way I am intending to develop this is to have each of the algorithms that user wants to use to be made into a DLL file and put into a specific directory. And at the start, my app will search for all the DLLs in that directory and load them. My Questions: (1) What if a malicious code is made as a DLL (and that will have same functions mandated by plugin framework) and put into my plugins directory? In that case, my app will think that its a plugin and picks it and calls its functions, so the malicious code can easily bring down my entire app down (In the worst case could make my app as a malicious code launcher!!!). (2) Is using DLLs the only way available to implement plugin design pattern? (Not only for the fear of malicious plugin, but its a generic question out of curiosity :) ) (3) I think a lot of softwares are written with plugin model for extendability, if so, how do they defend against such attacks? (4) In general what do you think about my decision to use plugin model for extendability (do you think I should look at any other alternatives?) Thank you -MicroKernel :)

  • Stuck with foreign-architecture=i386 when using apt-get

    - by avilella
I installed some packages a while ago and for some reason, they would only install with a special set of parameters that I used as recommended on a website (can't remember which one). Now, although harmless, I am stuck with these warnings every time I run apt-get: dpkg: warning: ignoring option --foreign-architecture=i386: this architecture cannot be foreign Any idea where is this lying around? How can I clean this up?

  • DAL, Session, Cache architecture

    - by subt13
I'm attempting to create Data Access Layer for my web application. Currently, all datatables are stored in the session. When I am finished the DAL will populate and return datatables. Is it a good idea to store the returned datatables in the session? A distributed/shared cache? Or just ping the database each time? Note: generally the number of rows in the datatable will be small < 2000. Thanks

  • Design/Architecture Advice Needed

    - by Rachel
Summary: I have different components on homepage and each components shows some promotion to the user. I have Cart as one Component and depending upon content of the cart promotion are show. I have to track user online activities and send that information to Omniture for Report Generation. Now my components are loaded asynchronously basically are loaded when AjaxRequest is fired up and so there is not fix pattern or rather information on when components will appear on the webpages. Now in order to pass information to Omniture I need to call track function on $(document).(ready) and append information for each components(7 parameters are required by Omniture for each component). So in the init:config function of each component am calling Omniture and passing paramters but now no. of Omniture calls is directly proportional to no. of Components on the webpage but this is not acceptable as each call to Omniture is very expensive. Now I am looking for a way where in I can club the information about 7 parameters and than make one Call to Omniture wherein I pass those information. Points to note is that I do not know when the components are loaded and so there is no pre-defined time or no. of components that would be loaded. The thing is am calling track function when document is ready but components are loaded after call to Omniture has been made and so my question is Q: How can I collect the information for all the components and than just make one call to Omniture to send those information ? As mentioned, I do not know when the components are loaded as they are done on the Ajax Request. Hope I am able to explain my challenge and would appreciate if some one can provide from Design/Architect Solutions for the Challenge.
