  • Mef, passing parameters to a module

    Hi guys, I'm studying MEF and I'm not able to resolve a problem. I have a main application, called MainMEF, and a simple module, called SimpleModule. This one consists of a single UserControl which is loaded dinamically. When MainMEF starts up, I would be able to pass to the module a reference to main application contained into MainMEF. How could I fix this? Thanks in advance.

    I have few lists like: a = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] b = [4, 6, 5, 9, 2] c = [4, 7, 9, 1, 2] I want to trim all of them using a loop, instead of doing as below: a[-2:] b[-2:] c[-2:] I tried but got confused with pass by value or pass by reference fundamentals, looked into other questions as well but no help.     i am passing the textbox1.text values into a query and sometimes into a string sometimes i say this: dim combor1 as string combor1 = comboReason1.Text how do i know when i should put combor1=comboreason1.value ?? also why do i need to set focus for a control to reference its property? that doesn't make sense to me also when i set combor4 = comboReason4.Value and the .value is null, then i get an error about invalid use of null please help!

I want to use Expression Encoder 3 to generate thumbnail image for video (wmv format) every 30 seconds -- e.g. for a 5 minutes video, there will be 10 thumbnails which reflects video at the time of 0 second, 30 second, 1 minute, 1 minute and 30 seconds, etc. Any reference code? thanks in advance, George

In my header file I define a variable to hold the logged in status #define loggedIn 0 I figure I should then reference this in the initWithNibName method and then decide which nib to load. I remember reading about one a few years back, but can not longer find a reference to it. In this fashion if/cond and others would not be special form as they are in lisp/scheme.

  • c++ memcpy return value

    according to http://www.cplusplus.com/reference/clibrary/cstring/memcpy/ c++'s memcpy takes three parameters: destination, source and size/bytes. it also returns a pointer. why is that so? aren't the parameters enough to input and copy data. or am i misunderstanding something? the examples don't use the return value
