Passing Certificate to Svcutil to generate proxy for OSB Service

We are wanting to implement Two-Way SSL security from WCF to OSB Services. We have successfully deployed the certificates so that when you browse to the service with IE you get the appropriate prompt for certificate and then it takes you immediately to the WSDL. But, when you attempt to generate a proxy using svcutil as defined in steps 8 and 9 in this MSDN article. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc949005.aspx I get the error: A reply message was received for operation 'Get' with action 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/transfer/Get'. However, your client code requires action 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/transfer/GetResponse'. The OSB services are set to use Soap 1.2 and the svcutil.exe.config we use is identicle to the article except for the findValue and x509FindType. Instead we used the FindByThumbprint pointing to the "My" store name and "CurrentUser" store location. The cert is there and is the same cert we select from the IE prompt.

Need help receiving ByteArray data

Hi folks, I am trying to receive byte array data from a machine. It sends out 3 different types of data structure each with different number of fields which consist of mostly int and a few floats, and byte sizes, the first being 320 bytes, 420 for the second type and 560 for the third. When the sending program is launched, it fires all 3 types of data simultaneouly with an interval of 1 sec. Example: Sending order: Pack1 - 320 bytes 1 sec later Pack2 - 420 bytes 1 sec later Pack3 - 560 bytes 1 sec later Pack1 - 320 bytes ... .. . How do I check the incoming byte size before passing it to: byte[] handsize = new byte[bytesize]; as the data I receive are all out of order, for instance using the following the read all int: System.out.println("Reading data in int format:" + " " + datainput.readInt()); I get many different sets of values whenever I run my prog although with some valid field data but they are all over the place. WPF Validation with ContentPresenter

Hi, I have a WPF user control which needs to validate some fields. It is bound to a class implementing IDataErrorInfo. When I set the user control as the content of my ContentPresenter in another, already open, window, I can see validation occurring, and error messages being returned, however, I don't get any validation adorner - e.g. the default red outline. If I enter the field and leave it (triggering re-validation) the validation adorner appears. Also, if I show the user control in it's own window it shows the validation adorner immediately. (I'm using Caliburn IResults to do this underneath, e.g. Show.Dialog<VM>(); but I suspect this isn't related) Can anyone offer any suggestion why the validation adorners aren't appearing immediately. (I had guessed animation on my ContentPresenter ContentChanged, however, I have removed this and still experience the problem. thanks, Chris

jQuery Autocomplete: how to refresh list?

I have a form with a variable number of autocomplete fields that use the same select list. These fields are added and removed as needed. Whenever a parameter on the page is changed, I (try to) update the list for all the fields by first calling unbind() then autocomplete() with a new parameter added to the url. $('input.foo').unbind().autocomplete(url?new_param=bar); The problem is that unbind() does not seem to be unbinding. When I type in the input field, it fires off the entire history of autocomplete events. I also tried flushCache to no avail. How do I clear out the old events? Thanks.

C# Winforms ADO.NET - DataGridView INSERT starting with null data

I have a C# Winforms app that is connecting to a SQL Server 2005 database. The form I am currently working on allows a user to enter a large amount of different types of data into various textboxes, comboboxes, and a DataGridView to insert into the database. It all represents one particular type of machine, and the data is spread out over about nine tables. The problem I have is that my DataGridView represents a type of data that may or may not be added to the database. Thus, when the DataGridView is created, it is empty and not databound, and so data cannot be entered. My question is, should I create the table with hard-coded field names representing the way that the data looks in the database, or is there a way to simply have the column names populate with no data so that the user can enter it if they like? I don't like the idea of hard-coding them in case there is a change in the database schema, but I'm not sure how else to deal with this problem.

In my Javascript and Flex applications, users often perform actions that I want other Javascript code on the page to listen for. For example, if someone adds a friend. I want my Javascript app to then call something like triggerEvent("addedFriend", name);. Then any other code that was listening for the "addedFriend" event will get called along with the name. Is there a built-in Javascript mechanism for handling events? I'm ok with using jQuery for this too and I know jQuery makes extensive use of events. But with jQuery, it seems that its event mechanism is all based around elements. As I understand, you have to tie a custom event to an element. I guess I can do that to a dummy element, but my need has nothing to do with DOM elements on a webpage. Should I just implement this event mechanism myself?

Guys, My current project consists of 3 standard layers: data, business, and presentation. I would like to use data entities for all my data access needs. Part of the functionality of the app will that it will need to copy all data within a flat file into a database. The file is not so big so I can use SqlBulkCopy. I have found several articles regarding the usage of SqlBulkCopy class in .NET. However, all the articles are using DataTables to move data back and forth. Is there a way to use data entities along with SqlBulkCopy or will I have to use DataTables?

Alternative to jQuery's .toggle() method that supports eventData?

The jQuery documentation for the .toggle() method states: The .toggle() method is provided for convenience. It is relatively straightforward to implement the same behavior by hand, and this can be necessary if the assumptions built into .toggle() prove limiting. The assumptions built into .toggle have proven limiting for my current task, but the documentation doesn't elaborate on how to implement the same behavior. I need to pass eventData to the handler functions provided to toggle(), but it appears that only .bind() will support this, not .toggle(). My first inclination is to use a flag global to a single handler function to store the click state. In other words, rather than: $('a').toggle(function() { alert('odd number of clicks'); }, function() { alert('even number of clicks'); }); do this: var clicks = true; $('a').click(function() { if (clicks) { alert('odd number of clicks'); clicks = false; } else { alert('even number of clicks'); clicks = true; } }); I haven't tested the latter, but I suspect it would work. Is this the best way to do something like this, or is there a better way that I'm missing? Thanks!

I have some ideas on how to improve this situation, but I thought I would ask from some ideas from other experts that might have come across a similar situation. Hello! I have been looking around and even found a couple of related answers and didn't get a certain answer to my question. Is there a way to have in the WPF ListView an additional row like in a DataGrid? I prefer using the ListView since I use 3.5 and the DataGrid is not officially in the box and has many quirks. I would prefer using the ListView if there is an official option to add new rows or else I use the DataGrid. Thanks a lot.

Write data to an xml file.

My aim is to write an XML file with few tags whose values are the regional language. I'm using Python to do this and using IDLE(Pythong GUI) for programming. While I try to write the words in an xmls file it gives the following error. UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 0-4: ordinal not in range(128) For now, I'm not using any xml writer library instead I'm opening a file "test.xml" and writing the data into it. This error is encountered by the line: f.write("\t\" + data + "\"). If I replace the above write statement with print statement then it prints the data properly on Python Shell. I'm reading the data from an excel file which is not in the UTF8,16, or 32 encoding formats. Its in some other format. cp1252 is reading the data properly. Any help in getting this data writtent oan xml would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bob

Bind ISet in ASP.NET MVC2

Hi, I am trying to find out what would be the best bind first element of ISet (Iesi.Collection) as a first element. So basically I only have to use some kind of collection that has an indexer (and ISet doesn't) then I can write code like this (which works perfectly well): <%: Html.EditorFor(x => x.Company.PrimaryUsers[0].Email) %> But as the ISet has no indexer I cannot use it. So how can I then bind the first element of ISet in MVC2? Thanks, Dmitriy.
