  • Firefox: Load local html file when opening new tab

    A couple of months ago, I configured Firefox to load a local html file containing my commonly-used links whenever I open a new tab This week I've been trying to find where I set this up. I cannot find this setting anywhere in the Firefox options. Somewhere there is (or was) a dialog box with an item that said something like 'Page to load in new tab'. Where was it? Could Mozilla have removed it in the latest upgrade? I'm not using any extensions but LastPass, so it's not controlled by an extension.

    I'm working with Hosted SharePoint 2007 with Forms Server. I need to allow client access to submit HTML forms designed in Infopath. Problem is, I need to make sure the clients don't see the library. There is sensitive data that will be on these forms. I also need to have a repeated library that is based on the Internal Admin records and requirements. Outside of making a seperate library per customer, does anyone have any suggestions? My Goal: 1: Customers enter their requests through a link or provided page 2: Internally address the requests and perform required arrangements, add billing and payment fields 3: Have SharePoint metrics, reports, etc... based on the provided intormation and status.     I'm regularly receiving emails from a well-known public website that read as plain text without carriage breaks or effective hyperlinks. My email client is Thunderbird. Thunderbird helpsite doesn't display an answer. And I'm reluctant to complain to the website if the problem is at my end. Message source for headers includes this: Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=--boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 The content in message source that follows the header is preceded by this: ----boundary_9338_03b8c925-816e-4b55-95c4-b2593da7e5f6 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 The content itself in message source reads typically like this: PCFkb2N0eXBlIGh0bWwgcHVibGljICItLy9XM0MvL0RURCBIVE1MIDQuMCBUcmFuc2l0aW9u YWwvL0VOIj4NCg0KDQo8aHRtbD4NCjxoZWFkPg0KPG1ldGEgaHR0cC1lcXVpdj0iQ29udGVu, etc.,etc. And, as I've said, the message in the viewing pane is unadulterated plain text. This means that all the applications which try to access unclassified websites for e.g. downloading plugins do not work. Examples: Eclipse plugin installation, Maven builds etc. What would be the easiest workaround for this? The best I've come up with is try to extend/customize Ruby's httpproxy.rb that comes with Webrick. I would automate the manual login process whenever that login response page is detected. This sounds quite painful, and I think there might/should be simpler options?

    i have a little question. I have a big html file and want to replace lots of things inside a lot of times. The only problem i cant solve is a replace with a variable. Example: <image src="start_files\0002.jpg" style="width:216pt; height:162"> should be transformed in <a href="start_files\0002.jpg" target="_blank"><image src="start_files\0002.jpg" style="width:216pt; height:162"></a> do you have an idea how to do it? I have a windows system with Notepad2 and Notepad++ and i could install a new tool if needed. (like Windows SED). The best solution would be a batch solution where i can add other transformations.     I'm beginning to think this is impossible, but thought I'd ask you guys. Basically it's a 2 column layout, but the "business" wants the following: -Always take up the entire browser window -Accommodate resizing of browser window -Left column will be fixed width, but that width should be flexible from page-to-page. -Left column has a region at the top with fixed height. -Left column has a bottom region. It should take up the remaining vertical space of browser window. If content is very large, it will have a scroll bar just for that region. -Right column should take up remaining horizontal space of browser window. -Right column has a region at the top with fixed height. -Right column has a bottom region. It should take up the remaining vertical space of browser window. If content is very large, it will have a scroll bar just for that region.     I want to be able to use the .html extension to render ASP pages. I am using Windows CE 6 at the moment with the default web server, ASP is turned on. I have attempted to add the "ScriptMap" (via) key to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMM\HTTPD\ScriptMap subkey with the value ".html"="\Windows\asp.dll" but this doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

  • CSS to Replace Table Layout for Forms

    I've looked at other questions and am unable to find the solution to this. Consider this image: I want to wrap divs and stack them vertically. The GREEN div would be a wrapper on a line. The BLUE div would contain an html label and maybe icon for a tooltip. The ORANGE div would contain some sort of entry (input, select, textarea). Several of these would be stacked vertically to make up a form. I am doing this now, but I have to specify a height for the container div and that really needs to change depending on the content - considering any entry could land there. Images and other stuff could land here, as well. I have a width set on the BLUE div and the ORANGE is float:left. How can I get rid of the height on divs and let that be determined by content? Is there a better way? Changing all to something else would be difficult and would prefer a way to style all elements or something.
