  • ACCESS/VBA: How to create a ON/OFF type switch to allow record modification on a form ?

    I was using a combobox on my search form to select whether to consult or modify a record. To make it more user friendly (IMO), I put a togglebutton on a form, which controls the .AllowEdits property of my form. This way you can easily switch from reading to writing. However I run into a problem; once .AllowEdits is switched to false, the togglebutton is not clickable anymore ! What are my options ?

    I've got a form with two fields, firstname and lastname. The user does not have to fill in the fields. When the user clicks the submit button, a jquery dialog displays with the data the user entered in the form. I only want to show the data for the fields that were entered. I'm trying to do an if statement and use the length() function but it isn't working. Help would be great!     I'm trying to upload a picture to a specific website using php cURL but I don't really understand what parameters do I need to send because the data looks a bit weird .   • After MS Access Conversion 97 --> 2002 I get 'Enter Parameter Value' when exitting a form.

    Hi, So when I exit a form from my newly converted .mdb it asks to Enter Parameter Value. It goes through (ie if i enter a value, it asks for another) the values required for a query that is run on a List Box on the page. The query has not been changed during the conversion. The values it is getting for the query are from text boxes on the same form. There are a few Requeries in the form (run from VB) so I imagine that it is rerunning again on Exit (although this isnt explicit in the form properties). I'm not quite sure how to go about solving this. Your help would be great. Thanks

    I don't know why it happens but my form for some reason does not post properly. What happened? And YOU KNOW WHAT? Quitting Safari and restart again solved the issue... but I can't think of what kind of intermittent behaviour could cause such problem.

  • Slash after domain in URL missing for Rails site

    After redirecting users in a Rails app, for some reason the slash after the domain is missing. Generated URLs are invalid and I'm forced to manually correct them. The problem only occurs on a subdomain. On a different primary domain (same server), everything works ok. For example, after logging out, the site is directing to https://www.sub.domain.comlogin/ rather than https://www.sub.domain.com/login I suspect the issue has something to do with the vhost setup, but I'm not sure. If name field is empty at the time of form save i am getting error that name can not be empty but also getting all states into dropdown list while i want only the states which are mapped with current selected country.

    I figured out how to capture mouse clicks over the entire form, but this method doesn't translate well for MouseEnter and MouseLeave. My form layout is made up from many Panels and TableLayoutPanels so there's no all-encompassing control I can monitor events for, and obviously a MouseLeave event for a button doesn't mean the cursor left the entire form. Has anyone figured out a good way to get around this?

  • HTTPS subdomain does not load site under HTTP

    I recently installed an SSL certificate on a subdomain following the steps at cPanel. Lets just say the domain is example.com and the subdomain is sub.example.com. I updated the userdata file for the subdomain and changed the IP address to the IP I wanted to use I updated the example.com zone file and changed the IP for the A Name for the subdomain to the IP I wanted to use Using domain tools I checked that sub.example.com resolved to the new IP which it does. I then installed an SSL certificate on example.com and then on sub.example.com When I visit http://sub.example.com I get the default Apache account screen, and when I visit https://sub.example.com I get the cPanel 404 page. If however I enter https://sub.example.com/admin (the location of my admin section) the page loads and I can login. I thought that this might be a propagation issue however as the subdomain resolves to the IP and I can reach the admin page I suspect it is not a propagation issue and possibly an incorrect zone file. Any thoughts?

    I'm just curious to know that there is The (Name) property, which represents the name of the Form class.This property is used within the namespace to uniquely identify the class that the Form is an instance of and, in the case of Visual Basic, is used to access the default instance of the form. Now where this Default Instance come from, why can't C# have a equivalent method to this. Also for example to show a form in C# we do something like this: //Only method Form1 frm = new Form1(); frm.Show(); But in VB.Net we have both ways to do it: //'First common method (used slash because editor wouldn't format it properly) Form1.Show(); //'Second method Dim frm as New Form1(); frm.Show(); My question comes from this first method. What is this Form1, is it an instance of Form1 or the Form1 class itself. Now as i mentioned above the Form name is the Default instance in VB.Net. But we also know that Form1 is a class defined in Designer so how can the names be same for both the Instance and class name. If Form1 is Class then there is no (Static\Shared) method named Show(). So where does this method come from. And finally why C# can't have an equivalent of this. If there some mistake in my question Please let me know *I've checked this on stackoverflow, but couldn't find an answer to this.If you do find then please give a link to it.*

    hi. I want to make a user interface in which the user can edit two objects at the same time. The main window would have a vertical split view and a form on each side of the view. The problem is that the two forms are identical and I don't want to duplicate the view components in the interface builder. I want to create the form one time and add a reference to it in each side of the split view, each one using a different object source. I could use a NSForm, but the form is not a simple grid of outputTexts and inputText. They have a master table, and diverse kinds of inputs types, like combos, in the detail. How do I create the reusable form using the interface builder? Or how can I do it programmatically? Do I have to create a subclass of NSView and add the individual components in the code?   • Loop results executing twice

    I creating a simple site with PHP where the users can submit blogs and other users (who are logged in) can post comments on them. I have made a link called "comments" below each blog that when clicked will show / hide all the comments relevant to the specific blog (also if the user is logged in, it will show a form field in which they can submit new comments). So basically each blog will have multiple comments. I have done two different codes for this but they both have the same problem that each comment appears twice (everything else works fine).
