  • error when trying to import ps file by grImport in R

    I need to create a pdf file with several chart created by ggplot2 arranged in a A4 paper, and repeat it 20-30 times. I export the ggplot2 chart into ps file, and try to PostScriptTrace it as instructed in grImport, but it just keep giving me error of "Unrecoverable error, exit code 1". I ignore the error and try to import and xml file generated into R object, give me another error: attributes construct error Couldn't find end of Start Tag text line 21 Premature end of data in tag picture line 3 Error: 1: attributes construct error 2: Couldn't find end of Start Tag text line 21 3: Premature end of data in tag picture line 3 What's wrong here?     before answer me plz thinking about the futures of these kind of program and answer me plz. I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer! I do not have any experience for like these program how work. If Your answer is I must use the second way follow this part plz: I search a little bit the Golden,PLedit (Benthic software),I have little bit problem how I must create the connection string?because I thinking about how I can find the host name or port number that oracle work on them?? am I need read the TNSNames.Ora file?   • Emacs bulk indent for Python

    Working with Python in Emacs if I want to add a try/catch to a block of code, I often find that I am having to indent the whole block, line by line. In Emacs, how do you indent the whole block at once. I am not an experienced Emacs user, but just find it is the best tool for working through ssh. I am using Emacs on the command line(Ubuntu), not as a gui, if that makes any difference.

  • How to work around a site forbidding me to scrape their images with PHP

    I'm scraping a site, searching for JPGs to download. Scraping the site's HTML pages works fine. But when I try getting the JPGs with CURL, copy(), fopen(), etc., I get a 403 forbiden status. I know that's because the site owners don't want their images scraped, so I understand a good answer would be just don't do it, because they don't want you to. Ok, but let's say it's ok and I try to work around this, how could this be achieved? If I get the same URL with a browser, I can open the image perfectly, it's not that my IP is banned or anything, and I'm testing the scraper one file at a time, so it's not blocking me because I make too many requests too often. From my understanding, it could be that either the site is checking for some cookies that confirm that I'm using a browser and browsing their site before I download a JPG. Or that maybe PHP is using some user agent for the requests that the server can detect and filter out. Anyway, have any idea?

  • Resizing the Camera Preview

    I have implemented a camera application, which will show the preview in the entire screen of the device. But my requirement is to show the Camera preview in a small screen. My device resolution is 800x480(WxH) i.e, Nexus one. I can able to show the preview in the entire screen without scale down the preview. Its coming perfectly, but when i try show the preview in small screens(part of my total mobile screen), the preview is getting stretched and not looking good. Is there any way to show the preview correctly in a small screen. I think we need to scale down the image preview. But when i try to scale down the image preview, the android system itself doesn't allowing to set the scaled preview size. Could any one please help me how to scale the image preview in small screen.

  • Determining if an Activity exists on the current device?

    Is there a way to check and see if an Activity exists on your device? If I have a youtube video link I want to specify it open in the YouTube PlayerActivity. However, I don't want to crash if for some reason they don't have it. Is there a way to check and see if the activity exists? I don't think I can catch the runtime exception since startActivity() doesn't throw it.

  • Changing window focus on OS X

    As part of an InstallationCheck script on OS X I need to use finder dialogs to let the user browse for files. When I'm done I want to move the installer application up front again so that the user can easily continue with the installation. I have already tried the simple: tell application "Installer" to activate This does not work because as long as I am inside the script the Installer application is unresponsive and when i try to activate it the applescript will try to wait until Installer responds, effectively locking the program until the InstallationCheck script times out. So basically I need a way to focus an application that works even if it is currently unresponsive. Is there any way to do this either from an applescript or directly from the perl script?

    I have a struct that's defined with a large number of vanilla char* pointers, but also an object member. When I try to statically initialize such a struct, I get a compiler error. typedef struct { const char* pszA; // ... snip ... const char* pszZ; SomeObject obj; } example_struct; // I only want to assign the first few members, the rest should be default example_struct ex = { "a", "b" }; SomeObject has a public default constructor with no arguments, so I didn't think this would be a problem.
