• How to Get SharePoint PowerShell to use .NET 2

  I'm having a couple of problems with PowerShell. First, the PS configuration installed by SharePoint 2010 keeps popping this message: The local farm is not accessible. Cmdlets with FeatureDependencyId are not registered. I've googled that, and given everybody and their second cousin Sharepoint_Shell_Access to the config DB, with no luck. So, I wanted to try some of the PS commands. In this case, however, I'm getting a different error: Microsoft SharePoint is not supported with version 4.0.30319.17929 of the Microsoft .Net Runtime. I get that SP can't use .NET 4.0 or 4.5, but I can't find any suggestions on how to get PS to use the "right" version of .NET. I've found some references for something called PowerGUI, and changing the psgui.exe.config, but I don't have that. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve the .NET version problem? • dll runtime error(C/C++/GCC/MSVC)

  After two days fighting, I make the dll(compiled in GCC/G++) link correctly in MSVC, but while debuging, I got the runtime error, is say that: Runtime Error! Program: my_exe.exe This application has required the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I have test something in that way: compiled a dll in mingw/gcc, link and debug in MSVC, it works correctly ,but while I implement it in my large project, I got the runtime error. And I tested the dll in mingw/GCC, it works correctly, it says that the runtime error does not come from programming error,it comes from the dll imcompatible between different platform. • Windows Mobile application icon

  Is it possible to specify the application icon for a windows mobile app from a resource file or other configuration besides the .csproj? The reason I would like to do this is because I have an application that can be configured to run in several different ways. We would like to build out three unique .cabs based on these configurations, and we would like to use a different icon for each version. One option we've considered is just running multiple builds and swapping out the icon file each time, but we were hoping there would be a way to do this using a "resource" DLL or something along those lines, that could be compiled or linked in to the main .exe.

• VS2005 and VSS. Should .exes, .dlls, pdbs, .resource and generated .xml files go in VSS?

  It seems like the following type of files need to be writable to be able to compile a solution. .exe .dll .pdb (if debugging) .resource (?) .xml (at least the system generated ones. I'm not sure if they are just all XML documentationf iles) If they were checked in and could only be overwritten by the compiler by the person who had them checked out, then checking them into sourcesafe and requiring a checkout to modify them, which is attemtped by the compiler each time you run, would interfer with other developer's ability to debug and run. What is the best practice? It seems like VSS automatically adds everything.

• qmake translations doesn't seem to work

  I have a Qt app with a Czech translation. I can get my translation compiled and installed fine with the following code. But when I run the app, translation doesn't work. What am I missing? I even tried to chmod 644 to change the permissions of the translation file, but it didn't work either. Thanks in advance. • Millisecond-Accurate Scheduling of Future Events in C++/CLI

  I need to create a C++/CLI mixed assembly that can schedule future calls into a native DLL with millisecond accuracy. This will, of course, mean setting a timer (what kind?) for a millisecond or three beforehand, then spinning until the moment and calling the native DLL function. Based on what I've read, I would guess that the callback that the timer calls will need to be native to make sure there are no thunks or GC to delay handling the timer callback. Will the entire thread or process need to be native and CLR-free, though, or can this be done just as accurately with #pragma unmanaged or setting one file of the assembly to compile as native? If so, how? If there is indeed no way to do this in mixed-mode C++/CLI, what would be the easiest way to set up an app/thread (ie, DLL or exe?) to handle it and to get the data back and forth between the native and managed threads/apps?

• How to copy QT folder to another folder without reinstalling it?

  I have QT installed on disc D (on Windows). And I want to move it to disc C. Is it possible to do that? If I just copy QT folder from C to D then I see lot of errors when I compile my applications that use QT. Errors are because qmake.exe contains full paths to include, bin and libs folders inside. So, when I create solution for Visual Studio 2005 using qmake - then this solution contains dependencies to old QT folder from disc D. And I found no way how to remove this dependencies without reinstalling of QT. It is not a big problem for one my single machine - I can reinstall. But I need to deliver this change then to tens and hundreds of other developers machines and I want to make it as easy as possible without need to reinstall QT.

• Linux script to kill process listening on a particular port

  I have a process that listens on a TCP port (?0003). From time to time it crashes - badly. It stops working, but continues hogging the port for some time, so I can't even restart it. I'm looking to automate this. What I do right now is: netstat -ntlp |grep -P "\*\:\d0003" To see what the PID is and then: kill -9 <pid> Does anyone have a script (or EXE for that matter) that would link the two steps together, ie. parse the PID from the first command and pass it to the second?

  Hello stackoverflow members, How can I use gtkmm with MinGW (g++) without MSYS? Here is the story of my problem: I installed MinGW offline with all required packages (full install). I installed Apache Server and I copied all .tar.gz files and I created a website called sourceforge.org [localhost] and I installed automatically MinGW on Windows XP. After, I set the PATH variables. After, I installed gtkmm for MinGW (g++). I tried to compile a simple window with gtkmm + MinGW, but it does not work. I use this command line: g++ simple.cc -o simple pkg-config gtkmm-2.4 --cflags --libs After, I installed MSYS and I can compile simple.cc with MSYS, using this command line: g++ simple.cc -o simple pkg-config gtkmm-2.4 --cflags --libs My problem: I want to compile simple.cc without MSYS. I want compile my simple.cc with cmd.exe - It's possbile? If, yes. How? Thank you for reading my message. Any help is appreciated.

• Trouble Getting a Locally Hosted Copy of the English Language Wiktionary to include the Translations Sections

  I used MWDumper - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mwdumper - to import the xml dump of the English Language Wiktionary (specifically the file named enwiktionary-20120930-pages-meta-current.xml,) to my local server. I have found that under the Translations section (on each page for each English word,) next to the name of each language where I should be able to see the definition in a foreign language, I instead see Template:Tø, Template:T+, or Template:T- and I am not sure why this is. As an experiment, I also used WikiTaxi - http://www.yunqa.de/delphi/doku.php/products/wikitaxi/index - with the exact same XML dump and did not have this problem when viewing under WikiTaxi.exe. I have been searching through mediawiki.org looking for the answer, but have so far not been successful. I appreciate your help

• How to launch a program as as a normal user from a UAC elevated installer

  I'm writing an NSIS installer and the setup program elevates "as administrator" as needed on Windows 7 / vista. I need to run the installed program at the end of the install and don't want to launch it with the same privileges as the installer. The regular NSIS exec commands run the child process with the same permissions as the installer. There is a UAC plugin for NSIS, but the documentation on it isn't great and it seems v. new; I'd prefer not to use that plugin. Ideally, I'm looking for a small .exe I can include that'll launch the target program without UAC elevation. Does this exist? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

• PHP: Mapped Network Drives

  Hello all, I have mapped a network drive to a computer in my home network. Now I am trying to access it via PHP - I did this quick test: echo opendir('Z:\\'); This gives me: Warning: opendir(Z:\) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No error in C:\wamp\www\webs\tester-function.php on line 3 What have I done wrong here? I don't want my users typing in the UNC path so is there a way to get the UNC path for them and maybe that will work when I try to access it? This is possible in Microsoft languages but I am not sure how to get PHP to do this - maybe using a cmd.exe command? Please note, the mapped drive does exist as I can see it and I can access it. It also does not appear to be a permissions problem as I am assuming it would of complained about this IF it could access that drive...right? Thanks all for any help

  I am trying to create an MSI package that uses the AppCmd application to configure IIS7. It only has to execute some commands that call AppCmd. Some commands need to be called when installing, other commands need to be called when uninstalling. This script also adds the current date once it makes a copy and moves it this file into a backup folder, i am planning to have this bat file run by a windows scheduler task every day. • Redirect window of command line tool to your app (Windows)

  Hello, is there a way (on Windows XP+) to redirect the output of a window created by a process created with e.g. CreateProcess to a window of your own program? I'd like to make a nicer GUI for ffplay.exe which is an open source video player. It is a command line tool, which opens a simple window in which it plays back the video. One is to add the dll project reference to C# project or use DllExport to export method.   Hi All, I made a very very simple small app to take screenshot of the desktop and send to network share. About 10 PC's would have this app installed. My idea is, that there will be one dashboard in ASP.NET, which simply shows those screenshots on the webpage. So far, easy stuff. But, because I don't want to clog the network and send the screenshot every 1 minute, I would like to launch the .exe on the remote PC's by demand of ASP.NET user. Unfortunately I haven't found any information (and I'm a complete ASP.NET n00b), how to launch remote executable IN the context of the remote PC (so I won't see screenshots of ASP server :) ) If there is no such possibility, please advise about other way to solve this.
