There's regular expression support in Oracle DB
Using Regular Expressions in Database Applications
Oracle SQL PERL-Influenced Extensions to POSIX Standard
But '\b' is not supported which I believe is quite wideliy used in perl and/or other tools
perlre - perldoc.perl.org
\b Match a word boundary
So, I experimented with '\W' which is non-"word" character
When combined with beginning-of-line and end-of-line like below, I think it works exactly the same as '\b'
SELECT * FROM TAB1 WHERE regexp_like(TEXTCOL1, '(^|\W)a_word($|\W)', 'i')
I added a FB Like button to my Wordpress template, and when I click Like, I receive an error, which pops up and says:
There was an error liking the page. If you are the page owner, please try running your page through the linter on the Facebook devsite (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/) and fixing any errors.
The Lint Checker (now) gives no Error or Warnings, after I removed a duplicate og:description tag.
Why is it not working?
New study from PandaLabs pins the escalating severity of attacks carried out by relatively unskilled hackers on a thriving black market offering ready-made tools.
So I've recently been getting into front-end web development from an embedded systems background and have always thought Javascript/HTML/CSS are not only the de-facto standards but the ONLY tools for the job, similar to what C is for embedded systems.
Recently, I've stumbled upon things like Dreamweaver, JSP, facelets, and GWT. While researching these to find out if they are worth learning, I can't get over the idea of why someone wouldn't just use Javascript/HTML/CSS instead. Why deviate from the defacto standards?
Developers need solutions, and there's no shortage of language and
technology choices. Whether you're making development choices for
applications that connect with legacy mainframe systems or new Web

I have this question because the most recent algorithm changes by Google have affected my website traffic.
I've been wondering why my homepage PageRank has dropped from 6 to 4 (I am not sure exactly). I am not using any special SEO tools like SEOMOZ, Majestic SEO, etc.
So it's quite difficult for me to ensure whether the page rank has been really affected or not. So can anyone please provide any good resource, tact or tricks to address this question?
Building your own website and making money from it is something that many people aspire to do. Fortunately, there are several web design software tools available that make it very easy to develop a s... [Author: Brian Boboyd - Web Design and Development - May 23, 2010]
I have worked in a few places where the use of Open Source Software in products they produce is strictly forbidden for various reasons, such as:
no formal support
lack of trust in something perceived as "just downloaded from the internet"
How can it be professional if it's not supported, we don't pay for it etc etc
I'm looking for the best ways to convince/prove to management that things won't fall apart should we use these tools.
<b>HowtoForge: </b>"This article describes how you can monitor your Postfix mailserver with the tools Mailgraph and pflogsumm. Mailgraph creates daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly graphs of sent, received, bounced, and rejected emails and also of spam and viruses, if SpamAssassin and ClamAV are integrated into Postfix."
It is important to know why you should hire a professional website developer to create your website. There are many website design tools available to anyone, but most business people don't have the time or patience to create their own website. And for those who think they do, the end result is often...
It’s always good to hear feedback from practitioners – the ones who are in the trenches who have experienced both the good and the bad sides of enterprise software. Gartner recently released a report which surveyed 260 data quality professionals from around the world and found that most expressed considerable satisfaction as a whole from their data quality tool vendors. However, a couple of key findings stand out which include, Datanomic (acquired by Oracle), leading the pack in terms of overall customer satisfaction among data quality tools. We're planning on building a HTML snapshot creation service to provide the Google crawlers with static HTML of our JS driven single page application.
Is this still necessary and/or encouraged since Google openly admits it is parsing JS now?
How should I tackle this evaluation?
Are there tools to provide data on when it's needed to provide snapshots and when google has sufficent parsing?
Is it better because it would be much faster in comparison to the JS incremental rendering?
I am starting a software project that will be team AND community developed. I was previously sold on gerrit, but now github's fork and pull request model seem to almost provide more tools, ways to visualize commits, and ease of use.
For someone who has at least a little experience with both, what are the pros/cons of each, and which would be better for a team based project which wants to leave open the possibility for community development?
Hi all,
I've always wondered how do you find undocumented / private API ?
Example the Apple undocumented / private API, Play Station, Windows Phone 7, Win32 Kernel, Windows API, hidden callback, etc...
What tools do hackers use to find out about private and undocumented functions?
Where can I read about peoples' experiences delving into private APIs and reverse engineering techniques which reveal the secrets which are normally explained in API documentation?
thanks,
A
