  • Sample code for POST + cookie?

    Hello, I've been googling for some VB.Net code to authenticate to a web server with the POST method, receive a session ID in a cookie, and then send this cookie along with all GET queries... but all I found is half-working code or C# code, ie. difficult to use for a VB.Net newbie. Would someone have some code handy or some pointer that I could use to get started? Thank you.

    I have a http request call that return a url . If I run this url in IE it returns a page that redirects to a another page and downloads the excel file.     I often use Excel with pivot tables based on .cub files for OLAP-type analysis. This is great except when you want to move the xls and you realise internally it's got a non-relative reference to the location of the .cub file. How can we cope with this - ie make it convenient to move around xls files that depend on .cub files? The best answer I could come up with is writing a macro that updates the pivot tables' reference to the .cub file location....so I'll pop that in an answer.

    I read some tutorials on how to read data from a database.properties file- which basically stored key-value pairs. What i want to know is, in which folder should I place this file? Is it in the root (ie "src") or within a package... And how do I access this file, if it is placed in "src"- my code will be within a package (and the package's directory will be under src)- so how do I access the properties file, which is in "src", from a class within a package?

    Hi there, can anyone explain why named anchor tags would not work in safari but work fine in other browsers: ie, ff, opera, chrome. I have some links to different areas of the same page and nothing happens when clicking on them in safari only. All the other browsers mentioned take me to that area of the page. I have tried using both the id and the name attribute for the anchors but neither makes any difference.

    hi, i am trying to improve the layout for my game. the problem is that while i can create a good layout for one android phone, it doesn't work for another, ie the trackball for MyTouch is on the right side (landscape mode), but for the MyCliq, the DPad is on the left side. is there a way to programmatically set the layout based on which phone it is? thanks.
