    Hi All, I have a html table and I am trying to have it span the entire page height. For some reason I am not able to get this to work. I have set the html, body and table height to be 100%, but the table still does not occupy the entire 100%. Heres the code.     I am pretty new in SQL so this may be a stupid question... I have a form in PHP which fills in few fields in my SQL table. I have this code: $sql="INSERT INTO $tbl_name (app_name, app_path, short_desc, full_desc) VALUES ('$_POST[app_name]', '$_POST[app_path]', '$_POST[short_desc]', '$_POST[full_desc]')"; But even app_name and app_path are NOT NULL columns, the query can be executed if there is no text in these fields in the form. So, my question is: How to stop the execution of the query if there is no text in the NOT NULL fields ?

  • Jquery UI dialog does not disappear

    I am using jquery-ui tabs and dialog functionality. Each tab has a button on the page which opens a dialog. This works for one of the tabs. However if I go the second tab, the button does not work there. When I come back to the first tab, the dialog does show up but the problem is I notice as I make switches back and forth to the first tab, it keeps on inserting new div's while the old div's have display:none set on them. I am doing this using JSP. I want to implement the search functionality in the app. I am using NSRegularExpression class for searching. Please consider the following html code: <temp> I am temp in tempo with temptation </temp> Say for example in the above html code I just want to search for the word temp. Now in above code temp is appearing 5 times - <temp> </temp> temp tempo temptation. I am looking for a regular expression where I can only extract the whole word "temp". I don't want to consider the word temp in the html tags <temp> </temp>. I also don't want the word tempo and temptation to be considered. Thanks in advance

  • javascript unable to locate a form using the ID tag

    Here's my problem: I'm trying to set up a simple mobile contact form with a captcha built in. The page I'm working on can be found here: http://m.lancasterpainting.com/contact.php I'm using the following php contact form: http://www.html-form-guide.com/contact-form/php-email-contact-form.html I want to first say that I'm not the only one to run into this problem. After googling the issue, I've found multiple people struggling with this, but no-one seems to have an answer. Now for the problem... As you can see if you visit the page, each time the page is accessed, an error appears that says "Error: couldnot get Form object contact_form". I cannot--for the life of me--figure out why the javascript can't find the form I pass it. I call the function that generates this error at the top of the page: var frmvalidator = new Validator("contact_form"); The form I'm referencing is as follows in the HTML code: <div data-role="page" data-theme="e" id="contact_form" name="contact_form" data-position="inline"> ... And the function that is called that generates the error can be found in an external .js file here: http://m.lancasterpainting.com/scripts/gen_validatorv31.js Is there something that I am simply not seeing?     I read this on msdn: Views let different users to see data in different ways, even when they are using the same data at the same time. This is especially useful when users who have many different interests and skill levels share the same database. For example, a view can be created that retrieves only the data for the customers with whom an account manager deals. The view can determine which data to retrieve based on the login ID of the account manager who uses the view. My question: For the above example , i would have to have a column named Userid/LoginId on my table on which the view is created so that i can apply a check option in the view for this column. and then if a user with a name not in that column tries to enter data , then he/she is blocked.

    I'm trying to place separate error messages in separate elements when validating a large form. The form is divided into jQueryUI tabs, then accordions. When there is an error in an element of a tab, I want to append a red exclamation point to the name of the tab, and if the error is in an accordion element, I also want to append the red exclamation point to the name of the accordion element. Subsequently, when the errors are corrected, I would like those red ! to be removed (exactly as the error message beneath the invalid field is removed. So: Tab1 Tab2 Accordion1 Accordion2 Tab3 If the elements in accordion 2 have an error, I want to append a red ! to accordion2 and tab2: Tab1 Tab2! Accordion1 Accordion2! Tab3 Then remove when the elements successfully validate. I've been trying forever, but I can't figure out how to conditionally change the errorElement (a label won't work for the tab and accordion, but is perfect for the actual element)... Hopefully this makes sense, and thanks for any input you can provide.

  • Java applet wont run

    I am trying to get a Java applet to run properly when linked to an HTML page in Dreamweaver CC. I'm new to all this so please bear with me here. First I saved this code to a .java file //Triangle.java import java.awt.*; import java.applet.Applet; public class Triangle extends Applet { public void paint (Graphics g){ int bottomX=80; int bottomY=200; int base=100; int height=100; g.drawLine(bottomX,bottomY,bottomX+base,bottomY); g.drawLine(bottomX+base,bottomY,bottomX+base/2,bottomY-height); g.drawLine(bottomX+base/2,bottomY-height, bottomX,bottomY); } } I then compiled it entering javac Triangle.java After that, I inserted it into a Dreamwever page using: <html> <applet code=Triangle.class width=400 height=400 > </applet> </html> Now when I try and open the page in Chrome I get an error reading: UnsupportedClassVersionError Triangle: Unsupported major.minor version 52.0 This, as I have read, is an issue with using two incompatible Java versions? In my Java Control Panel it says I am using version 1.8.0_20 and my JDK is jdk1.8.0_20. Does anyone see anything super obvious that I am doing wrong here?
