    I have a time series of two indexes, with each row representing the closing price on the same day. I'd like to go to row 30 and lookback over the last 30 'days' and calculate the pearson correlation. And then store that value in a new vector. Then, repeat the calculation for the entire time series. It is a trivial task in Excel, so I'm convinced it can be done in R. I don't know the method to use though.

    I'm using the Ruby GData Library to access Google Docs and I recently got the GData::Client::CaptchaError because I was re-logging in with every request. Reading this post, it recommends not logging in with every request, but caching the authentication token. How do I go about doing that correctly? Google says it expires every 24 hours, and it doesn't seem like I should store it in the session, so what should I do? I'm using Ruby on Rails with all this. Thanks so much

    Very strange, I have a list of products. When a user clicks on an the image it opens up a new IE window. Firefox doesn't do this. What could be the reason for this? the urls are: http://website.example.com and clicking on the image goes to (which is hosted on another server): http://store.website.example.com Could this be some internal security measure or ?

    Hello: I am using the following tcl code to store a file from my deskstop into a Sqlite database as blob data ($fileText is a path to a text file): sqlite3 db Docs.db set fileID [open $fileText RDONLY] fconfigure $fileID -translation binary set content [read $fileID] close $fileID db eval {insert into Document (Doc) VALUES ($content)} db close I have found many resources on how to open the blob data to read and write to it, but I cannot find any resources on openning the blob data as a file. For example, if $fileText was a pdf, how would I open it, from Sqlite, as a pdf? Thanks, DFM

The idea is to download the keys and store them using the DPAPI but I'm having trouble with the entropy parameter. Quite simple :( What is happening is that I get my data from a NSURLConnection Callback, which I parse and store it in an array and call reload data on the table view. The problem is that when cellForRowAtIndexPath is called back by the framework.     Hi, I have to manage XML documents and Strings in my app. In terms of efficiency and memory usage, will a collection like ArrayList be much more expensive than String[]? Also, I could store the content as a regular String or XML. Is working with XML also more expensive? (When I say expensive, I am referring to the use of system resources.)     I'm running this query: SELECT FROM com.Data WHERE entryDate DATE('2010-3-16') I get this error: org.datanucleus.store.appengine.query.DatastoreQuery$UnsupportedDatastoreFeatureException: Problem with query DATE('2010-3-16'): Unsupported method while parsing expression: InvokeExpression{[null].DATE(Literal{2010-3-16})} The same query works when I use it on the admin console. But it does not work for code (java), either locally or when deployed. Any ideas?

    It's very strange that the session will never expire if i use memcached store even i set config.action_controller.session :session_expires = 1.seconds.from_now And I use extended_fragment_cache to cache fragment, I meet the same problem <% Cache "my_page", {:expires = 1.minutes} do ... % never expired! I've written some utilities that interact with the tables within the model, but I'd like to have the code dynamically discover the tables. Is there a way I can do this ?
