  • How to remove "index.php?" from HTACCESS [duplicate]

    - by Francis Goris
    This question already has an answer here: Reference: mod_rewrite, URL rewriting and “pretty links” explained 2 answers I have url like this: www.site.com/index.php?/genero/aventura/av/ But I would like this to be my new url: site.com/genero/aventura/av/ I used the following code: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.site.com/$ [NC] RewriteRule ^index.php\?/(.*)$ site.com/$1 [R=301,L] </IfModule> but only returns me: site.com/index.php?/genero/aventura/av/ This is my latest & full version: RewriteEngine on #RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|ver_capitulo\.html|google3436eb8eea8b8d6e\.html|BingSiteAuth\.xml |portadas|public|mp3|css|favicon\.ico|js|plantilla|i|swf|plugins|player\.swf|robots\.txt) RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|public|css|js|i|feed|portadas|robots\.txt|BingSiteAuth\.xml|plugins|i|mp3|favicon\.ico|pluginslist\.xml|google3436eb8eea8b8d6e\.html) RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] #DirectoryIndex index.php #RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} http://www.page.com/index\.php [NC] #RewriteRule ^(.*?)index\.php$ http://page.com/$1 [L,R=301,NC,NE] #DirectoryIndex index.php #RewriteEngine On Thanks for reading.

  • Removing a text block from a file : sed ?

    - by user555338
Hi, Following an attack, I need to remove 4 lines of text added to .htaccess files in my site, and was thinking SED would be the way to go, but cannot see how in spire of many attempts. The added lines are RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^http:// RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !%{HTTP_HOST} RewriteRule . http://targeturlhere.net/%{REMOTE_ADDR} I managed to create the script to remove added htaccess files containing those lines only, but for existing htaccess files in which that was appended I have to edit the file and cannot delete it. I cannot just remove line by line nor use "RewriteEngine On" as the start marker, as this instruction "RewriteEngine On" is sometimes legitimate elsewhere in the file. In most cases those lines are the last, but I guess in other files they could be in the middle, so I was trying to remove exactly that block - and have a script I could reuse in a similar case. (Edit: my 4 lines are below one another, no blank line in between but the editor here seems to either show no breakline, or one adding a blank line) Any hint or tip ? Thanks.

  • Strange mod_rewrite problem; Website works partially

    - by Camran
I have Ubuntu 9.10 Server... I need to get mod_rewrite working... the mod_rewrite module IS LOADED. On my server, the httpd.conf is empty, instead everything (almost) is in a file called apache2.conf. Anyways, I have also read I have to change the AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All in some file... My httpd.conf is empty as you know, but I have a folder called sites-enabled which contains a 000-default file. This is where I have set: AllowOverride All Now my goal as I stated in the last Q is to turn this link: http://mydomain.com/ad.php?ad_id=Bmw_nice_M3_497379462 into this: http://mydomain.com/Bmw_nice_M3_497379462 So as I got an answer in the last Q i inserted this into the htaccess file: Options +FollowSymLinks Options +Indexes RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/ad\.php RewriteRule ^(.*)$ ad.php?ad_id=$1 [L] Now, this works (no fully) when entering the url manually in the adress bar, but my website isn't working now for some reason. It is like the website is locked down or something, and unless I change AllowOverride to None it will act like that. Any ideas why? Also another note, the links inside the rewritten url doesn't work properly (images are not shown, while some are shown)...

  • mod_rewrite - Don't get a second rule work

    - by poru
I want to have a url like this: domain.com/css/site.css?test=234 Rule: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)/$ $1.php RewriteRule ^css/([a-zA-Z0-9]+).css?count=(.*)$ css.php?f=$1&test=$2 But I get every time a 404: Not found (site.css) If I have a rule like that it works, just without getting the $_GET-Variable: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)/$ $1.php RewriteRule ^css/([a-zA-Z0-9]+).css$ css.php?f=$1

  • How to hide URL from users when submitting this form?

    - by Camran
I have a form with many many fields... When submitting these fields, I use the POST method which hides the actual variables passed along to the PHP page. However, I can't get rid of the complete link. Changing from GET to POST did make all the form fields invisible in the URL, but this part is still visible: mydomain.com/bin/query# I want it to be invisible, or say: mydomain.com/search I have mod_rewrite enabled so there is a possibility to do this with mod_rewrite I think, but I am new to mod_rewrite so I need your help... How should I hide this URL? If you need more input let me know...

  • how do I redirect from one page to another with mod_rewrite?

    - by Dan
All the advice online says do: rewrite 301 URL-A URL-B But that won't work if I turn on mod_rewrite (it seems?) with RewriteEngine on So, I'm bad a regex, but shouldn't need it here. How do I do: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^untamed-adventures.com/travel/How/tabid/58/Default.aspx [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://untamed-adventures.com/ [R=301,L]

  • Very simple mod_rewrite questions

    - by Camran
1- Does mod_rewrite means that if I make this url: domain.com/ad.php?id=8498292 INTO domain.com/8498292 that all links on my website will have to be changed to the later above? example the link: domain.com/ad.php?id=8498292 wont work now, unless I replace it with domain.com/8498292 ? Or will the server know that they are the same still? 2- Will the rewritten link appear rewritten in the browsers adress bars also, so if I enter domain.com/ad.php?id=8498292 it will actually appear as domain.com/8498292 in the adress bar itself? 3- Will images and all other related links and material on the page whose link is rewritten remain intact? ie will pictures and links still work FROM that page which are relative? Thanks

  • replay in django + apcahce + mod_wsgi ??

    - by Adam
I have a simple django page that has a counter on it. I use Apache2 and mod_wsgi to serve it. First, when I enter this page, the counter shows 0, as it should. The second time when I enter the page the counter shows 1 - again, it is the right behavior. The problem begins now, cause when I enter this page the third time, I get 0 again. When I refresh it goes between 0, and 1, clearly using some cache or so. If I wait for some time and then try again, it will show 2, and 3, but will be stuck with those values, till this cache or whatever it is will be flushed, and then the counter continues. Does somebody knows how I can get it work right (the real scenario deals with getting data from the DB, but the problems with this strange cache are the same). BTW, I don't have any caching engine set in my django settings.

  • Convert to lowercase in a mod_rewrite rule.

    - by dreeves
I would like URLs like server.com/foo to be case-insensitive. But server.com/foo actually gets mod_rewrite'd to server.com/somedir/foo (Assume that all the files in "somedir" are lower case.) So the question is, how to accomplish a mod_rewrite like the following: RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/?$ somedir/convert_to_lowercase($1)

  • Server-environment and configuration: How bad is fread() etc?

    - by zero
Hello dear commmunity, good day! I run a little site (now for several months ) that has users accessing big files, for download as well for streaming to the browser. It's fairly active, so assuming the worst, how bad is getting php to read the files that would be stored outside of the webroot and then getting it to echo it to a page dynamically for the browser to then read? My question is: how bad is fread() etc in this context!? zero

  • How do I install mod_dav_svn module on an Apache / MAMP server?

    - by fettereddingoskidney
How do I install additional modules into my server configuration? Currently all of the other modules are installed in /Applications/MAMP/Library/modules...and I see that they are mod_*.so source files, but I cannot seem to get mine to end up here... :? I am trying to set up an SVN repository and use my Apache (MAMP) server to serve the repository. I am using the subversion installation that came (pre-installed?) on Mac OS X 10.5. The repository is working, but I cannot access it remotely through my MAMP server using a client program (Dreamweaver CS5). When I try, I get an error from Dreamweaver, saying: Cannot connect to host xxx: Connection refused. This, I believe, is because I have not properly configured my Apache server to serve the svn repository. So, I added the following lines to my httpd.conf file: <Location /subversion> DAV svn SVNPath /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/svn/ AuthType Basic AuthName "Subversion repository" AuthUserFile /applications/mamp/htdocs/.htpasswd Require ServerAdmin </Location> Restarted the server with the command $ /Applications/MAMP/Library/bin/apachectl -k restart I used this path because otherwise the default apachectl path is set to /usr/sbin/apachectl, which is the location of the pre-installed command on Mac OS X, since the OS comes packaged with a built-in Apache server. And I get the error: Syntax error on line 1153 of /Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf: Unknown DAV provider: svn I checked the upper portion of httpd.conf and see that dav_module (mod_dav.so) is loaded and is in fact in my the modules directory of my server. However, mod_dav_svn is not installed in that directory nor is it in the LoadModule portion of httpd.conf. So I need to install it, right? I have tried installing modules into my MAMP server before but was never successful...because I don't know how to do it. Can someone please walk me through how to install that module? Thanks for your time!

  • How to enable hotlink protection without hardcoding my domain in the Apache config file?

    - by Jeff
Been surfing around for a solution for a couple days now. How do I enable Apache hotlink protection without hardcoding my domain in the config file so I can port the code to my other domains without having to update the config file every time? This is what I have so far: RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www\.example\.com [NC] RewriteRule \.(gif|ico|jpe|jpeg|jpg|png)$ - [NC,F,L] ... And this is what Apache suggests: SetEnvIf Referer example\.com localreferer <FilesMatch \.(jpg|png|gif)$> Order deny, allow Deny from all Allow from env=localreferer </FilesMatch> ... both of which hardcode the domain in their rules. The closest I came to finding any info that covers this is right here on ServerFault, but the conclusion was that it cannot be done. Based on my research, that appears to be true, but I didn't find any questions or commentary dedicated soley to this question. If anyone's curious, here is the link to the Apache 2 docs that cover this topic. Note that Apache variables (e.g. %{HTTP_REFERER}) can only be used in the RewriteCond text-string and the RewriteRule substitution arguments.
