• Get SubItem value when double-clicking on Item in ListView

  Hi All I have a listview with 2 columns, and when the I double click on an item, i need to display the value of its corresponding sub item in a TextBox control. How can I do this? • latex - including a landscape pdf

  Having no end of trouble including a large landscape pdf in a portrait .tex document (using pdflatex). When it does show up, only the leftmost end of the pdf shows up, now matter how small i make the scale. And i cant seem to get it to show in landscape mode at all... • ChangePassword control does not work on unauthenticated user

  Not sure what's misconfigured somewhere or whatever. An authenticated user can change his password, but for an unauthenticated user, clicking on the Change Password button does not do anything. No error is shown either. Any ideas?

  I'd like to use ftplib to upload program-generated data as lists. The nearest method I can see for doing this is ftp.storlines, but this requires a file object with a readlines() method. Obviously I could create a file, but this seems like overkill as the data isn't persistent. • SQL Server authentication - limit access to database to only connect through application

  I have a database which users should not be able to alter data in unless they use the specific app. I know best practice is to use windows authentication however that would mean that users could then connect to the database using any other data enabled app and change values which would then not be audited. Unfortunately SQL 2008 with its inbuilt auditing is not available. Any ideas how to ensure that users cannot change anything unless its through the controlling app?

• How can I find installed programs dependent on any version of the .NET framework?

  I have an application that uses .NET 3.5SP1, but I have been having a LOT of random crashes with it. I am starting to narrow the fields of possible causes to the framework itself, where I suspect some other app is installing a lower patch version. Is there any apps in the wild, or anything I can slap together that can tell me what apps that are installed that depend on .NET to run? Their minimum required version would be nice to know also, but not necessary.

  Is there a way to get all possible values from a MySQL enum column? The MySQL documentation says the MySQL enum type is returned as a Java String, so I basically would like a way to get all possible strings I can pass when querying a table with such an enum. I couldn't immediately find anything when I was looking through the metadata returned for such a column, but since enum isn't standard SQL, I'm not sure it's even possible... any suggestions?

  I have Visual Studio 2005 and want to teach myself DirectX in my free time. I downloaded the latest Windows 7 and DirectX SDKs. According to Microsoft's website, the latest DirectX SDK is not compatible with Visual Studio 2005 (I assume they mean it's not compatible with the SDK it came with). Can I configure VS2005 to use the SDKs I downloaded instead of the SDK it came with? If so, is there anything I should be particularly careful with?
