I appreciate if anyone can help me, <?php session_start(); $_SESSION['abc']=12323; session_regenerate_id(true); echo $_SESSION['abc']; ?> I thought it should display none, but it outputs:12323

  • Script or Application that will do md5 checking

    - by shanghaiguy
    Is there a program, or a script out there that can compare the md5 checksum of files I tried to create my own, but i'm having problems with any files that have a space in them, so I was wondering if it'd be easier to just use an application. md5deep is something I downloaded that returns the checksum. rm md5mastervalue for i in `ls /media/disk`; do md5deep -rb /media/disk/$i >> md5mastervalue; done for d in 1 3 ; do cp -rf /media/disk/ /media/disk-$d & done wait rm md5valuet1 rm md5valuet3 for k in `ls /media/disk` do for f in 1 3; do md5deep -rb /media/disk-$f/$k >> md5valuet$f; done done for n in 1 3; do diff md5mastervalue md5valuet$n; done echo Finished

  • Problem with onsubmit ID

    - by Liso22
    I need an onsubmit to return false if what's written on the first field is a certain PHP value however the field has a strange id format and I'm not quite sure how to add it in the onsubmit. This is the form, I didn't add the element ID to it: <form class="questionform" name="questionform-0" id="questionform-0" onsubmit="if (document.getElementById('').value == '<?php echo $casi; ?>') return false;" > <textarea class="question-box" style="width:97%;" cols="20" rows="4" id="question-box-' . $questionformid . '" name="title" type="text" maxlength="80" size="28" value=""></textarea> I tried many times but couldn't add it. How should I do it? Thanks

  • Getting id of row just inserted into MySQL database

    - by James P
    I have my table columns set like this: likes(id, like_message, timestamp) id is the primary key that is auto incrementing. This is the SQL that I use to add a row: $sql = "INSERT INTO `likes` (like_message, timestamp) VALUES ('$likeMsg', $timeStamp)"; Everything works, but now I need to throw back the id attribute of the newly inserted row. For example, if I insert a row and the id of that row is 13, I need to echo out 13 so my AJAX request can pick that up and use it. Any help would be appreciated, as well as related code samples. Thanks :)

  • Access property from include inside a class method in PHP

    - by Jojo
    How do you make a class property available to the other included file inside the same class' method? // file A.php class A { private $var = 1; public function go() { include('another.php'); } } in another file: // this is another.php file // how can I access class A->var? echo $var; // this can't be right Is this possible given the scope. If var is an array then we can use extract but if var is not, we can wrap it in an array. Is there a better way? Thanks!

  • AJAX with jQuery not returning data

    - by James P
    This is my Javascript: $(document).ready(function() { $('#like').bind('keydown', function(e) { if(e.keyCode == 13) { var likeMsg = $('#like').val(); if(likeMsg) { // Send the AJAX request to like.php $.ajax({ url: 'like.php', success: function(data) { alert('Content: ' + data); } }); } } }); }); And this is my like.php file: <?php echo "It works! :)"; ?> When I press enter on the #like input, it seems the AJAX request is sent and an alert box comes up saying: Content:, but there's no data being sent back from like.php... I have checked if the file exists and if it's in the same directory and whatever and it is, so I'm pretty much clueless atm. Does anyone know what could be wrong here? Cheers.

  • PHP detect if page is reloaded with PHP_SELF

    - by FFish
    I have a form that reloads the page with the updated data: <form name="form" method="post" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>"> ... <input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Update data"> </form> When the page is updated I want to display a message "Data updated". There was something like this with Referer I beleve, but can't remember. btw I am also using: if (isset($_POST['Submit'])) { // prevent resending data header("Location: " . $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); } to avoid the annoying resending data message when the user clicks the back button. Is this correct?

  • Is it good practise to use meta refresh tags for redirects instead of header() function in php?

    - by Kent
    I have to use redirects a lot in my scripts, for example after a user logs in I need to redirect them to the admin area, etc. But I find it inconvenient to always have to have the header function at the very top. So if I use the meta refresh tags for my redirects, is that something that would be frowned upon according to best practices or is it acceptable? function redirect($location) { echo "<meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0; url=$location' />"; }

  • Nesting if else statements in PHP to validate a URL

    - by John
    I'm currently writing up a function in order to validate a URL by exploding it into different parts and matching those parts with strings I've defined. This is the function I'm using so far: function validTnet($tnet_url) { $tnet_2 = "defined2"; $tnet_3 = "defined3"; $tnet_5 = "defined5"; $tnet_7 = ""; if($exp_url[2] == $tnet_2) { #show true, proceed to next validation if($exp_url[3] == $tnet_3) { #true, and next if($exp_url[5] == $tnet_5) { #true, and last if($exp_url[7] == $tnet_7) { #true, valid } } } } else { echo "failed on tnet_2"; } } For some reason I'm unable to think of the way to code (or search for the proper term) of how to break out of the if statements that are nested. What I would like to do check each part of the URL, starting with $tnet_2, and if it fails one of the checks ($tnet_2, $tnet_3, $tnet_5 or $tnet_7), output that it fails, and break out of the if statement. Is there an easy way to accomplish this using some of the code I have already?

  • MySQLI Prepared Statement Not Binding Properly

    - by Sev
    Any reason why the following code won't work? $dbconnection = db::getInstance(); //this is a singleton db class $stmt = $dbconnection->prepare("SELECT `id` from `table` where `username`=?"); $stmt->bind_param("s", $username); $stmt->execute(); $stmt->bind_result($uid); $stmt->fetch(); echo $uid; The same connection method is used elsewhere, and it works there. The only difference on that other page where it works, is that there are multiple rows fetched, not just one.

  • Picking encryption cipher for mcrypt

    - by Autolycus
    I have few questions about this code: <?php $iv_size = mcrypt_get_iv_size(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, MCRYPT_MODE_ECB); $iv = mcrypt_create_iv($iv_size, MCRYPT_RAND); $key = "This is a very secret key"; $text = file_get_contents('path/to/your/file'); echo strlen($text) . "\n"; $crypttext = mcrypt_encrypt(MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256, $key, $text, MCRYPT_MODE_ECB, $iv); file_put_contents('path/to/your/file', $crypttext); ?> It encrypts the file just fine, however it adds additional nulls at the end, so if I encrypt: a test string is this one and here is a new line once decrypted becomes: a test string is this one and here is a new line 000000000000000 What's going on? Second, is MCRYPT_RIJNDAEL_256 compatible with AES-128? Finally, how would I let another party decrypt a file I've encrypted? They would need to know which encryption was used and I am not sure what to tell them.

  • Unable to return/process JSON in JQuery $.get()

    - by shyam
    I have a problem returning/processing JSON data while calling $.get() function. Here's the code: JQuery: $.get("script.php?", function(data) { if (data.status) { alert('ok'); } else { alert(data.error); } },'json'); PHP if ($r) { $ret = array("status"=>true); } else { $ret = array("status"=>false,"error"=>$error); } echo json_encode( $ret ); So this is the code. But the response is always taken as string in the jquery. data.status and data.error is undefined.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

  • Is there a tool to discover if the same class exists in multiple jars in the classpath?

    - by David Citron
    If you have two jars in your classpath that contain different versions of the same class, the classpath order becomes critical. I am looking for a tool that can detect and flag such potential conflicts in a given classpath or set of folders. Certainly a script that starts: classes=`mktemp` for i in `find . -name "*.jar"` do echo "File: $i" > $classes jar tf $i > $classes ... done with some clever sort/uniq/diff/grep/awk later on has potential, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any existing solutions.

  • Why isn't this message subject encoded properly? (php mail)

    - by Camran
    I use this code to send an email: $headers="MIME-Version: 1.0"."\n"; $headers.="Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8"."\n"; $headers.="From: $name <$email>"."\n"; mail($to, '=?UTF-8?B?'.base64_encode($subject).'?=', $text, $headers, '[email protected]'); If I use special characters Å Ä Ö from the swedish alphabet, they are not encoded properly, so they turn up like ö for ö. However, this doesn't happen if I change the $to variable to a gmail account email, then they are shown correctly. Anybody got any idea? Thanks UPDATE: When I echo $name, the name is displayed correctly, in utf8, with all special chars nicely shown.

  • Removing rows from MySQL table where the timestamp is over one day old?

    - by Rob
    I found the exact same question here. But it isn't working for me. I've modified it a bit, manipulated it, and I can't figure it out. I'm trying to remove rows that are over a day old. Here is my code: if (isset($_POST['prune'])) { $sql = "DELETE FROM logs WHERE time < date('now', '-1 days')"; mysql_query($sql); echo 'Logs older than one day removed.'; } Fairly simple question I suppose, but its bugging the hell out of me. I would appreciate any help. In case it makes a difference, the column is a TIMESTAMP type.

  • Is it possible to auto generate Getter/Setter from Array Values in PHP?

    - by Phill Pafford
    So I have a couple of arrays $array_1 = Array('one','two','three'); $array_2 = Array('red','blue','green'); Is there a dynamic way to create the Setters and Getters for an array with single value entries? So the class would be something like: class xFromArray() { } So the above if I passed $array_1 it would generate something like this: private $one; setOne($x) { $one = $x; } getOne() { return $one; } if I passed $array_2 it would generate something like this: private $red; setRed($x) { $red = $x; } getRed() { return $red; } So I would call it somehow like this? (My best guess but doesn't seem that this would work) $xFromArray = new xFromArray; foreach($array_1 as $key=>$data) { $xFromArray->create_function(set.ucfirst($data)($data)); echo $xFromArray->create_function(get.ucfirst($data)); }
