  • Joining tables, if percentage is above certain value

    - by CluelessGerman
    My question is similar to this one: Compare rows and get percentage However, little different. I adapted my question to the other post. I got 2 tables. First table: user_id | post_id 1 1 1 2 1 3 2 12 2 15 And second table: post_id | rating 1 1 1 2 1 3 2 1 2 5 3 null 3 1 3 4 12 4 15 1 So now I would like to count the rating for each post, in the second table. If the rating has more than, lets say, 50% positive ratings than I want to get the post_id and going it to the post_id from table one and add 1 to the user_id. At the end it would return the user_id with the number of positive posts. The result for above table would be: user_id | helpfulPosts 1 2 2 1 The post with post_id 1 and 3 have positive rating, because more than 50% have ratings of 1-3. The post with id = 2 is not positive, because the rating is exactly 50%. How would I achieve this? For clarification: It's a mysql rdbm and a positive post, is one where the number of rating_ids with 1, 2 and 3 are more than half of the overall rating. Basically the same thing, from the other thread I posted above.

  • Array structure returned by Yii's model

    - by user1104955
    I am a Yii beginner and am running into a bit of a wall and hope someone will be able to help me get back onto track. I think this might be a fairly straight forward question to the seasoned Yii user. So here goes... In the controller, let's say I run the following call to the model- $variable = Post::model()->findAll(); All works fine and I pass the variable into the view. Here's where I get pretty stuck. The array that is returned in the above query is far more complex than I anticipated and I'm struggling to make sense of it. Here's a sample- print_r($variable); gives- Array ( [0] => Post Object ( [_md:CActiveRecord:private] => CActiveRecordMetaData Object ( [tableSchema] => CMysqlTableSchema Object ( [schemaName] => [name] => tbl_post [rawName] => `tbl_post` [primaryKey] => id [sequenceName] => [foreignKeys] => Array ( ) [columns] => Array ( [id] => CMysqlColumnSchema Object ( [name] => id [rawName] => `id` [allowNull] => [dbType] => int(11) [type] => integer [defaultValue] => [size] => 11 [precision] => 11 [scale] => [isPrimaryKey] => 1 [isForeignKey] => [autoIncrement] => 1 [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) [post] => CMysqlColumnSchema Object ( [name] => post [rawName] => `post` [allowNull] => [dbType] => text [type] => string [defaultValue] => [size] => [precision] => [scale] => [isPrimaryKey] => [isForeignKey] => [autoIncrement] => [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) ) [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) [columns] => Array ( [id] => CMysqlColumnSchema Object ( [name] => id [rawName] => `id` [allowNull] => [dbType] => int(11) [type] => integer [defaultValue] => [size] => 11 [precision] => 11 [scale] => [isPrimaryKey] => 1 [isForeignKey] => [autoIncrement] => 1 [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) [post] => CMysqlColumnSchema Object ( [name] => post [rawName] => `post` [allowNull] => [dbType] => text [type] => string [defaultValue] => [size] => [precision] => [scale] => [isPrimaryKey] => [isForeignKey] => [autoIncrement] => [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) ) [relations] => Array ( [responses] => CHasManyRelation Object ( [limit] => -1 [offset] => -1 [index] => [through] => [joinType] => LEFT OUTER JOIN [on] => [alias] => [with] => Array ( ) [together] => [scopes] => [name] => responses [className] => Response [foreignKey] => post_id [select] => * [condition] => [params] => Array ( ) [group] => [join] => [having] => [order] => [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) ) [attributeDefaults] => Array ( ) [_model:CActiveRecordMetaData:private] => Post Object ( [_md:CActiveRecord:private] => CActiveRecordMetaData Object *RECURSION* [_new:CActiveRecord:private] => [_attributes:CActiveRecord:private] => Array ( ) [_related:CActiveRecord:private] => Array ( ) [_c:CActiveRecord:private] => [_pk:CActiveRecord:private] => [_alias:CActiveRecord:private] => t [_errors:CModel:private] => Array ( ) [_validators:CModel:private] => [_scenario:CModel:private] => [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) ) [_new:CActiveRecord:private] => [_attributes:CActiveRecord:private] => Array ( [id] => 1 [post] => User Post ) [_related:CActiveRecord:private] => Array ( ) [_c:CActiveRecord:private] => [_pk:CActiveRecord:private] => 1 [_alias:CActiveRecord:private] => t [_errors:CModel:private] => Array ( ) [_validators:CModel:private] => [_scenario:CModel:private] => update [_e:CComponent:private] => [_m:CComponent:private] => ) ) [sorry if there's an easier way to show this array, I'm not aware of it] Can anyone explain to me why the model returns such a complex array? It doesn't seem to matter what tables or columns or relations are used in your application, they all seem to me to return this format. Also, can someone explain the structure to me so that I can isolate the variables that I want to recover? Many thanks in advance, Nick

  • A beginner's question...How do I use $_POST instead of $_GET? (PHP)

    - by ggfan
    Okay, for all my coding so far I been using GETs and only $_POST on the same script. Ex: profile.php would show all the posts an user made and under each of their post, they can edit their post. The way I been using it is through $_GETs. So.. //this is the link users click to edit their post echo '<td><a href="editad.php?posting_id='.$row3['posting_id'].' ">Edit</a>'; //on the editad.php $posting_id=$_GET['posting_id']; if (isset($posting_id)){ //show all the forms, sqls to do the editing } else{ //if the $_GET hasn't been set echo "You have not specified which ad to edit. Please go back"; } How do I do this via POST? Thanks :)

  • json call with C#

    - by Vaccano
    I am trying to make a json call using C#. I made a stab at creating a call, but it did not work: public bool SendAnSMSMessage(string message) { HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest) WebRequest.Create("http://api.pennysms.com/jsonrpc"); request.Method = "POST"; request.ContentType = "application/json"; string json = "{ \"method\": \"send\", "+ " \"params\": [ "+ " \"IPutAGuidHere\", "+ " \"[email protected]\", "+ " \"MyTenDigitNumberWasHere\", "+ " \""+message+"\" " + " ] "+ "}"; StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(request.GetRequestStream()); writer.Write(json); writer.Close(); return true; } Any advice on how to make this work would be appreciated.

  • Authenticating model - best practices

    - by zerkms
    I come into ASP.NET from php so the reason why i ask my question is because it's totally different nature of how application works and handles requests. well, i have an exists table with user creditians, such as: id, login, password (sha hashed), email, phone, room i have built custom membership provider so it can handle my own database authentication schema. and now i'm confused, because User.Identity.Name contains only user's login, but not the complete object (i'm using linq2sql to communicate with database and i need in it's User object to work). at php applications i just store user object at some static method at Auth class (or some another), but here at ASP.NET MVC i cannot do this, because static member is shared across all requests and permanent, and not lives within only current request (as it was at php). so my question is: how and where should i retrieve and store linq2sql user object to work with it within current and only current request? (after request processed successfully i expect it will be disposed from memory and on next request will be created again). or i'm following totally wrong way?

  • Django: Save an uploaded file to a FileField

    - by David Wolever
    I feel a little stupid for having to ask this… But I can't seem find it documented anywhere. If I've got a Model with FileField, how can I stuff an uploaded FILE into that FileField? For example, I'd like to do something like this: class MyModel(Model): file = FileField(...) def handle_post(request, ...): mymodel = MyModel.objects.get(...) if request.FILES.get("newfile"): mymodel.file = request.FILES["newfile"] But that doesn't appear to work.

  • OpenCalais API using jQuery

    - by Varun
    Hi I've wanted to do some language processing for an application and have been trying to use the OpenCalais API. The call to the API works perfectly and returns data. The problem is that even though I can see the data in the firebug, I cannot access it because the callback never triggers. Details: the call requires callback=? as it is a JSONP request. so callback=foo SHOULD call the foo method once the data is returned, it doesn't. in fact, if callback is anything other than ? the call fails and doesn't return any data. (i've also checked JSLint to make sure the returned JSON is valid). tried using $.ajax instead of $.getJSON so that I can get an error callback, but neither the success or error callbacks fire. in firebug, usually when you make a JSON request, the request shows up in the console. In this case, the request doesn't show up in the console, but instead shows in the "Net" tab in firebug...dunno what that means, but somehow the browser doesn't think its an XHR request. any ideas? thanks.

  • File upload with tdo-miniforms not working

    - by user338109
    I am using the TDO-miniforms plugin for wordpress. I have a form set up that lets the user submit files. The files are successfully uploaded to the tmp-folder, but once the post is created they are not copied into the allocated post folder. The only thing that is created in the folder with a post id is a file called array. It seems like the file holds the binary data of the uploaded files. The “correct” urls are appended to the post content I am running wordpress 2.9.2 on snow leopard using Mamp.

  • Why can't these generic type parameters be inferred?

    - by Jon M
    Given the following interfaces/classes: public interface IRequest<TResponse> { } public interface IHandler<TRequest, TResponse> where TRequest : IRequest<TResponse> { TResponse Handle(TRequest request); } public class HandlingService { public TResponse Handle<TRequest, TResponse>(TRequest request) where TRequest : IRequest<TResponse> { var handler = container.GetInstance<IHandler<TRequest, TResponse>>(); return handler.Handle(request); } } public class CustomerResponse { public Customer Customer { get; set; } } public class GetCustomerByIdRequest : IRequest<CustomerResponse> { public int CustomerId { get; set; } } Why can't the compiler infer the correct types, if I try and write something like the following: var service = new HandlingService(); var request = new GetCustomerByIdRequest { CustomerId = 1234 }; var response = service.Handle(request); // Shouldn't this know that response is going to be CustomerResponse? I just get the 'type arguments cannot be inferred' message. Is this a limitation with generic type inference in general, or is there a way to make this work?

  • Why won't these two mod_rewrite rules work together?

    Here is what I have: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^users/(\d+)/post$ post.php [L] RewriteRule ^users/(\d+)$ user.php?id=$1 [L] The first rule doesn't work. The second one does. All I get when I enter .../users/1/post is a 404 error. What am I doing wrong? Edit: The error log doesn't have anything in it relating to this.

  • How to change Session for only one route in asp.net mvc?

    - by denis_n
    How to handle Application_BeginRequest using a custom filter in asp.net mvc? I want to restore session only for one route (~/my-url). It would be cool, if I could create a custom filter and handle that. protected void Application_BeginRequest(object sender, EventArgs e) { var context = HttpContext.Current; if (string.Equals("~/my-url", context.Request.AppRelativeCurrentExecutionFilePath, StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase)) { string sessionId = context.Request.Form["sessionId"]; if (sessionId != null) { HttpCookie cookie = context.Request.Cookies.Get("ASP.NET_SessionId"); if (cookie == null) { cookie = new HttpCookie("ASP.NET_SessionId"); } cookie.Value = sessionId; context.Request.Cookies.Set(cookie); } }

  • [Java] Listening for TCP and UDP requests on the same port

    - by user339328
    I am writing a Client/Server set of programs Depending on the operation requested by the client, I use make TCP or UDP request. Implementing the client side is straight-forward, since I can easily open connection with any protocol and send the request to the server-side. On the servers-side, on the other hand, I would like to listen both for UDP and TCP connections on the same port. Moreover, I like the the server to open new thread for each connection request. I have adopted the approach explained in: link text I have extended this code sample by creating new threads for each TCP/UDP request. This works correctly if I use TCP only, but it fails when I attempt to make UDP bindings. Please give me any suggestion how can I correct this. tnx

  • Objective-c when to release objects

    - by Chris
    -(IBAction)registerUpdate:(id)sender { HTTPRequest* request = [[HTTPRequest alloc] initWithUrl:@"http://www.yahoo.com" delegate:self]; [request doRequest]; } The HTTPRequest makes an asynchronous request and calls the onHTTPResponse method in the current class. My question is do I have to release request? My guess is that I'm supposed to make it an instance variable? [NSString stringWithFormat:@"Data received: %@", [[NSString alloc] initWithData:data encoding:NSASCIIStringEncoding]]; How would I release that string object, or should I assign it to a variable?

  • How to redirect with .htaccess (keeping legacy links)

    - by Laurent
    Hello, I recently switched CMSes. While using Wordpress, I had this permalink convention: "/year/post". Now, I'd like to have "year/month/post". To keep legacy links, I need to redirect from "http://site.com/2009/sample-post" to "http://site.com/2009/01/sample-post". "01" should be permanent in this case. This is what I've got atm: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond $1 !^(images|system|themes|_|wp-content|mint|assets|favicon\.ico|robots\.txt|index\.php) [NC] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L] Thanks in advance!

  • Ajax posting to PHP

    - by JQonfused
    Hi guys, I'm testing a jQuery ajax post method on a local Apache 2.2 server with PHP 5.3 (totally new at this). Here are the files, all in the same folder. html body (jQuery library included in head): <form id="postForm" method="post"> <label for="name">Input Name</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name" /><br /> <label for="age">Input Age</label> <input type="text" name="age" id="age" /><br /> <input type="submit" value="Submit" id="submitBtn" /> </form> <div id="resultDisplay"></div> <script src="queryRequest.js"></script> queryRequest.js $(document).ready(function(){ $('#s').focus(); $('#postForm').submit(function(){ var name = $('#name').val(); var age = $('#age').val(); var URL = "post.php"; $.ajax({ type:'POST', url: URL, datatype:'json', data:{'name': name ,'age': age}, success: function(data){ $('#resultDisplay').append("Value returned.<br />name: "+data.name+" age: "+data.age); }, error: function() { $('resultDisplay').append("ERROR!") } }); }); }); post.php <?php $name = $_POST['name']; $age = $_POST['age']; $return = array('name' => $name, 'age' => $age); echo json_encode($return); ?> After inputting the two fields and pressing 'Submit', the success method is called, text appended, but the values returned from ajax post are undefined. And then after less than a second, the text fields are emptied, and the text appended to the div is gone. Doesn't seem like it's a page refresh, though, since there's no empty page flash. What's going on here? I'm sure it's a silly mistake but Firebug isn't telling me anything.

  • CakePHP pagination with HABTM models

    - by nickf
    I'm having some problems with creating pagination with a HABTM relationship. First, the tables and relationships: requests (id, to_location_id, from_location_id) locations (id, name) items_locations (id, item_id, location_id) items (id, name) So, a Request has a Location the request is coming from and a Location the Request is going to. For this question, I'm only concerned about the "to" location. Request --belongsTo--> Location* --hasAndBelongsToMany--> Item (* as "ToLocation") In my RequestController, I want to paginate all the Items in a Request's ToLocation. // RequestsController var $paginate = array( 'Item' => array( 'limit' => 5, 'contain' => array( "Location" ) ) ); // RequestController::add() $locationId = 21; $items = $this->paginate('Item', array( "Location.id" => $locationId )); And this is failing, because it is generating this SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS count FROM items Item WHERE Location.id = 21 I can't figure out how to make it actually use the "contain" argument of $paginate... Any ideas?
