  • What UIKit elements can be used to replicate the App Store/iTunes Store paged grid?

    I'm new to Cocoa Touch, so this might be pretty easy, but I can't seem to figure out what UIKit elements were used to create a grid like this? Is this simply a UITableView with a pagination controller? If so, how'd they style it like this? Thanks!   • How do you solve this Haskell problem?

    I want to define a function replicate to replicate a list of numbers by its value using only list comprehension, for example: replicate [5,1,3,2,8,1,2] output: [5,5,5,5,5,1,3,3,3,2,2,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,1,2,2] I know this would be easy to use the 'replicate' built in function but only list comprehension is allow, how can I do this? THANKS!

  • Restricting Edit and Delete

    I want to be able to edit and delete resources myself, but not allow users of the application to do so. Is there an easy way of doing this in Rails? An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests. Running Rails 2.2.2 and ruby 1.8.7

    I making an application to view videos form youtube, and I think it is very easy to write a code to make the user be able download the videos and save it in the documents folder of the application, my questions are: 1) is it legal to do this, and is there any concern of the application being rejected? 2) is it possible to make the user watch the video and when he finish (watched all the video) get this data and save it, (not to download it again since he already watched the video and downloaded it).

    I have to dynamically add a list of views (the views use RelativeLayout). Can I do this by specifying the view definition in xml and instantiate multiple objects off it? This gives the usual benefits of separating the view part from the code (for e.g., making it easy for the UI guys to alter things) or Is going the ArrayAdapter the suggested/only route?

    I know how to do it mathematically, but i want it now to do it in c++ using some easy algorithm. Is is possible? The question is that i need some methods/ideas for writing a number N in base M, for example 1410 in base 3: (14)10 = 2*(3^0) + 1*(3^1) + 1*(3^2) = (112)3 etc.

    Hi, In Python script,for every method definition in some C++ code of the form: return_value ClassName::MethodName(args) {MehodBody} ,I need to extract three parts: the class name, the method name and the method body for further processing. Finding and extracting the ClassName and MethodName is easy, but is there any simple way to extract the body of the method? With all possible '{' and '}' inside it? Or are regexes unsuitable for such task?
