• Getting attachments from a mail account with .NET

  I'd like a free library for .NET to get attachments from an account (such as gMail, or others) via imap4 (not necessarely), and save them in a folder. Ideally it would allow me to get a list of them, and download only some given ones (filtering by extension, name, and/or size) and be free. • rsync over ssh is not working anymore, while ssh itself is working fine (Write failed: broken pipe)

  This issue started happening after i changed router. This is the scenario: Windows7 Host Ubuntu 10.04 Guest (VirtualBox) Ubuntu 10.04 remote server What i used to do is run a very basic rsync command: rsync -avz --delete /local/path/ username@host:/path/to/remote/directory This worked perfect until i did change adsl provider, and i changed router aswell: now, this happens: rsync on Ubuntu Guest is not working anymore (to any random server), if using this new router rsync on Ubuntu Guest is WORKING, if i switch back to old router i tried a new virtual box ubuntu install, and the command is WORKING with both the routers So, the not-working-combo is oldUbuntu + newRouter. To get things worst, i can state that (on the not-working ubuntu) i ping the remote host plain ssh connection to the remote host is working fine (i can auth, connect, and do stuff on the remote host) • Internet Explorer buggy when accessing a custom weblogic provider

  I've created a custom Weblogic Security Authentication Provider on version 10.3 that includes a custom login module to validate users. As part of the provider, I've implemented the ServletAuthenticationFilter and added one filter. The filter acts as a common log on page for all the applications within the domain. When we access any secured URLs by entering them in the address bar, this works fine in IE and Firefox. But when we bookmark the link in IE an odd thing happens. If I click the bookmark, you will see our log on page, then after you've successfully logged into the system the basic auth page will display, even though the user is already authenticated. This never happens in Firefox, only IE. It's also intermittent. 1 time out of 5 IE will correctly redirect and not show the basic auth window. Firefox and Opera will correctly redirect everytime. We've captured the response headers and compared the success and failures, they are identical. final boolean isAuthenticated = authenticateUser(userName, password, req); // Send user on to the original URL if (isAuthenticated) { res.sendRedirect(targetURL); return; } As you can see, once the user is authenticated I do a redirect to the original URL. Is there a step I'm missing? I have tested against IE 6 & 8 and deployed the custom provider on 3 different environments and I can still reproduce the bug.

  Is there any way to create a custom capistrano task for performing other actions on a scm repository? For instance, I would like to create a task that will checkout a particular folder from my repository and then symlink it into the shared/ directory of the main project on my server. I know this can be done by creating a task and explicity defining the "svn co ..." command along with the scm username, password, and repository location. But this would display the password in plain text. Are there any built-in capistrano variables/methods that would help in this process?

  I have been experiencing some very strange behavior using html buttons with the onserverclick attribute. What I am trying to do is use jQuery to designate the default button on the page. By default button I mean the button that is "clicked" when a user hits enter. In testing, I would hit enter while in an input field and sometimes the intended "default" button was clicked and the server side method defined in the corresponding onserverclick attribute was hit. Other times a post back was made without hitting the server method. In Firefox 3.6 and IE 8 when only one input exists on the page, hitting enter does not trigger the onserverclick, it makes a post back without even being jQuery "clicked" or actually "clicked". You can test this by starting with two inputs and clicking "test2". This will output "server method2 was hit". Then just hit enter and the output will be "server method1 was hit. Now take away an input and run the same test. Click "test2" see the results, then hit enter and you will see that nothing will change because the "test1" method was never hit. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks p.s. Chrome worked as expected

To do it I created own CachingRulesProvider with compareRule and my Attribute. Maybe there is more easy way to do it?   We are trying to shape up an old, 2 tier, Delphi based application. It originally uses database authentication, we'd like to transform the db user accounts to global users, so an OID server could perform the authentication instead of the database. The Delphi program can no longer log into the database if the account is a global user. I'm trying to understand the login protocol, so far without results. Similar thing happens with SQLDeveloper, I can't connect as a global user. SQLPlus however works with both kinds of users. We checked the information flow with Wireshark. When the dbserver asks back for a password, the SQLPlus sends it, while the SQLDeveloper doesn't send a password when attempting to connect as a global user. The client sends the application name too in the login request. Is it possible that we have to store the client app name in the LDAP itself?

  I am having a little trouble getting my deployment task in ant to function. I have a war file that is generated as part of the build process, and I am now trying to autodeploy that to my test server. In ant I have defined a deployment task as seen below. When I try to run it I get a file not found error on the server in the catalina.out log file. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong that is causing this deploy to not function?   Hi I'm using an application called Logi info. it requires a connection string to my oracle database. the connection works fine but in order to configure the connection to recive ref cursors from the database, I apparently need to add PLSQLRSet=1 to the end of the string. when I do that I recieve an error "invalid connection string" Here is my connection string without plsqlrset=1 Data Source=SID; User Id=username; Password=password; My concern is that PLSQLRSet=1 might be .NET paramater only. Can anyone shed some light on the issue. Thanks

  I would like to implement a 'Send Feedback' option in a Java desktop application. One which will pop up a box for the user to enter a comment, then send it to us along with a screenshot of the application window. How would be the best way to communicate the data to us? Two obvious solutions spring to mind: Email - I'm thinking that the application would connect to an SMTP server set-up by us, with the username/password somehow hidden in the code. SMTP over SSL for security (not of the data being sent, but of the SMTP username/password). Web service - pretty self explanatory. Which of these would be best, or is there a better alternative?
