  MSDN states the following SortedSet(T).Add Method : If Count is less than the capacity of the internal array, this method is an O(1) operation. Could someone please explain "how so"? I mean when adding new value we need to find a correct place to add a value (comparing it with another values) and internal implementation looks like a "Red-Black tree" with O (log N) insertion complexity.

  I'm using the TTThumbsViewController section of the three20 framework, and I have the status bar hidden throughout my application. When the user views the full size image, taps the screen(hiding the controls), when they tap again the controls reappear but the status bar is there too.   I need to send hundreds of newsletters, but would like to check first if email exists on server. It's called smtp validation, at least i think so, based on my research on net. There's several libraries that can do that, and also a page with open-source code in asp (http://www.coveryourasp.com/ValidateEmail.asp#Result3), but I have hard time reading classic asp, and it seams that it uses some third-party library...   I'm doing some large integer computing, and I need to raise a BigInteger to the power of another BigInteger. The .pow() method does what I want, but takes an int value as an argument. The .modPow method takes a BigInteger as an argument, but I do not want an answer congruent to the value I'm trying to compute. My BigInteger exponent is too large to be represented as an int, can someone suggest a way to work around this limitation?

  I am playing with the unix hexdump utility. My input file is UTF-8 encoded, containing a single character ñ, which is C3 B1 in hexadecimal UTF-8. hexdump test.txt 0000000 b1c3 0000002 Huh?   I've read the max heap size on 32bit Windows is ~1.5GB which is due to the fact that the JVM requires contiguous memory. Can someone explain the concept of "contiguous memory" and why you only have max 1.5GB on Windows? • sIFR: page refresh causes background images problems in IE8

  I'm using sIFR 3 r436. When a page is reloaded, and often also on load, in IE8 the background image does'nt appear completely. When clicking on an intern link the background is displayed correctly. Google Chrome has also minor problems in displaying.
