  • Problem changin database location

    I have a report developed with Crystal '08 and it is published on CMC. My problem is when I changed the database to the production db, the report still asking for the development database password. I've tried to publish the report with a diferent name, but it didn't work. Thanks for your help!

    Hi, My CrystalReportViewer won't display the charts in my Crystal Report. I get a red X. I am using C# and MVC. I've read somewehre that I might need a virtual path to the image folder but I am not really sure what that means as my chart is embedded in the report....Maybe I am missing something.   • Can I change the database server and database a report is pointing to dynamically?

    I have a Crystal 2008 report that will be deployed to an InfoView server. There are four different databases the user might want to execute the report against. Each of the four databases have exactly the same schema. Only the data in each is different. Each database corresponds to a plant we have around the world. Instead of creating four different reports (each one connected to one of the four databases), am I able to dynamically change the server/database the report hits based on a value the user enters into a parameter? I'm really trying to avoid having to create four identical reports except for the database connection on each. If this isn't possible, how do developers typically deal with this sort of scenario? I would imagine it's fairly common. Thanks very much.

The project is composed by: resources and configuration files (VS project files, like: .settings .vbproj .myapp .config .xconfig .Designer.vb); a lot of VB codes; xsc, xsd, xss and xsx files; a lot of Crystal reports for VS2005; graphical resources. The application take data in order to generate reports from more DB SQL Server 2005 istances. What is the best way to approach to a migration activity? Is there an internal migration tool? Recently I started getting alerts like this one: Controller ID: 1 Consistency Check inconsistency logging disabled, too many inconsistencies on VD: 0 Generated on:Sat May 12 04:06:40 2012 SYSTEM DETAILS--- IP Address: 192.168.1.29 OS Name: Windows 7 x64 OS Version: 6.01 Driver Name: megasas.sys Driver Version: 4.5.1.64 IMAGE DETAILS--- BIOS Version: 2.120.33-1197 Firmware Package Version: 12.12.0-0045 Firmware Version: 3.21.00_4.11.05.00_0x05000000 VD 0 is a RAID mirror containing the system disk. I have searched and read, but cannot find any trace of how to actually do anything about this. I tried running a scandisk but that did not find anything (as I expected, since scandisk reads the disks as exposed by the controller, right?). The MegaRAID Storage Manager does not as far as I can see have any options for checking or fixing physical disks. The program claims the VD is "healty", and both disks have Error count 0. Also a bit strange is the System details in the message... The IP address is associated with the RAS (dial in) interface, and the OS should be Windows Server 2011 SBS. Has anyone else experienced this before? What can be done?

  • DVR_PLAYER.exe reports Remote200.ocx is missing?

    I have a program called DVR_PLAYER that is downloaded from a home security camera web interface. The web interface saves surveillance footage in the form of proprietary .drv files. I am unable to use the program to view the files on the cd on any machine that isn't the original machine I downloaded the files from. Every time I try to open it up it says, " Remote200.ocx not installed or it couldn't be installed. Please check user privilege." I need other machines to be able to open and view the footage I've downloaded using this program so that I can hand it in to the local police. Any ideas?

  • Running perfmon continuously with periodic reports

    I have a question very similar to this one, but I want to continuously run perfmon, during reboots and throughout the day. Further, I'd like to generate a perfmon report every 10 mins or so. The original question tells me how to run perfmon when the server is restarted, but I don't know how to make perfmon continuously run while throwing periodic files. I've tried setting it as a scheduled task that needs to be done every 10 mins, but this is too sloppy, and when the scheduled task kicks another instance, the current perfmon report writer crashes, and I get a garbage report. I've also tried writing a sloppy batch script that would fire off the task at scheduled intervals, but this is the same problem as the scheduled task. I'm sure I'm just missing something silly, but I don't see it. Ideas? (If it helps, I'm running Windows 7 locally, and I'm trying to set up the processes for boxes running Windows 2008.)

    I have recently some issues with people using my email server. They have problems with synchronizing folders on outlook, and I can't figure out what to do. I found somewhere that I could extend a setting for imap connections: mail_max_userip_connections = 20 which didn't really help, I was thinking about extending timeout of connection or something, but really can find anything like that. In Thunderbird it seems to be OK. here is dovecot -p result: http://snipt.org/AAig5 if anything could help please let me know what should provide.

    I'm finding it difficult to get MS reporting working to what I'd like to show. What I'm trying to do is: a) In my database store a URL file (HTTP external file), that is a .jpeg. I'd like to use that URL to call the image on the report sheet. I have tried to use 'Control source' on the data panel, but with no success. Any way I can get Dynamic Images to show up on each database. Also, I have a couple of Relational Databases. One Defines Values: For Example: DefinePets('petID','Name of Pet') The other one links the Main DB with the 'DefinePets' database. Eg: connect('petID','mainID','extraFeild') I'd like my report to Go into the "connect" Table, where the the currently viewed Record Value = mainID, then find petID and return Name of Pet. There is a many to many link between definePets and the main Table. (Therefore connect is joining them up) Or is that too much to ask from a simple package like Access?

    The first thing I see wrong is that its a recursion problem. But I'm not sure where the problems lie in my reverse lookup file. ns should report back as ns.example.com but instead getting ns.example.com.ns. Of course it wouldn't find any entries for that name because there isn't one, nor is it supposed to. Here's my reverse file: $TTL 86400 @ IN SOA ns.example.com root.example.com. ( 16071990 ; Serial 3600 ; Refresh 1800 ; Retry 604800 ; Expire 86400 ; Minimum TTL ) @ IN NS ns.example.com It's not extraordinarily complicated. What my question is, what other files affect the output for named-checkzone when checking a name against the revers file?

  • MS Word reports files read-only on Win Server 2003 file server

    I'm not a sysadmin, but I play one on TV: I'm trying to fix a problem for my mom's tiny non-profit company's server. I set up a Windows Server 2003 machine as a domain controller and file server. Everything has been working well for a few months, but lately when she tries to save changes to a Word (Office XP) document stored on the server, Word will intermittently report that the file is read-only. Saving to an alternate file in the same directory works, and when she closes Word and re-opens the original document, it'll save changes just fine. No one else ever has these files open. I've checked security and share permissions, and everything's OK. We've tried rebooting the server, but the problem continues, but intermittently. I have no clue what's going on. Help!

  • LCD monitor reports incorrect maximum resolution

    I have four 20" Planar 2010M LCD monitors with a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200 connected to two nVidia video cards (8600 GT and 7600 GS). I'm running Windows Server 2003 x86. Recently, two of the monitors have started mis-reporting their maximum resolution as 1280 x 1024. When this first happened, I used nVidia's Custom Resolutions feature to force the monitors back to 1600 x 1200. Yesterday, however, I upgraded nVidia's video card driver, and ever since, I cannot get the DVI one back to 1600 x 1200. When I add the custom resolution in nVidia's control panel, if I set either the width or the height to even a single pixel more than 1280 x 1024, nothing changes when I click Test (the monitor doesn't even flash black, although after 15 seconds, it flashes black and doesn't change). After adding Does anyone know what the problem is? Is there anything I can do about it?

  • nagios wrongly reports packet loss

    Lately, on my nagios 3.2.3 install (CentOS5, monitoring ~ 300 hosts, 1150 services) has sdtarted to occasionally report high packet loss on 50-60 hosts at a time. Problem is it's bogus. Manual runs of ping (or its own check_ping binary) finds no fault with any of the affected hosts. The only possible cures I found so far are: run all the checks manually (they will succeed but it may act up again on next check) acknowledge and wait for the problem to go away (may take several ours) I suspect (but have no particular reason other than single rescheduled checks succeeding) that the problem may lay with all the checks being mass scheduled together - in which case introducing some jitter in the scheduling (how?) might help. Or it may be something completely different. Ideas, anyone?

Is there somewhere else I can look? Where does python find out that socket is in use that netstat doesnt know about? Any other way I can find out what/if that socket is?

    For 3 days now I've been unable to boot into my Windows 7 partition, and all my research has been to no avail. I'm hoping someone here has more ideas on how to fix this. When I boot up now, I get the black screen with BCD error that says theres no valid file system or it may be corrupt (pardon my lack of detail, no copy/paste is available then). When I boot with the Windows 7 disc and go into repair tools, no operating system is found, and attempting to automatically repair the problem fails with Unknown Operating System (Unknown Disk) or something similar. When I drop into the command prompt, I am able to see and navigate my C:\ drive without issue. I attempt to use bootrec: C:\> bootrec /ScanOS Finds C:\Windows as a system partition. C:\> bootrec /RebuildBCD Fails with volume does not contain a recognized file system. please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted. So then I attempt to fix the bootsector: C:\> bootsect /nt60 C: /force Which completes successfully (sorry, no output..) Upon rebooting, I have the same problem. I've also tried all of the above after making my Windows partition active: C:\> diskpart DISKPART> select disk 1 DISKPART> select partition 1 DISKPART> active DISKPART> exit Then bootrec as above, both with and without a reboot after the DISKPART commands. We updated all of our Windows 7 clients last Friday and it looks like the mighty "Unable to load client print control" has returned since then. Anyone aware of possible problems with the latest batch of Windows Updates?

  • Windows 7 wifi reports "no network access" and "no internet access" but connects in fedora

    I am running windows 7 home basic (64bit) on a Acer 5742G laptop with Atheos wifi adapter in it. Yesterday, I hiberneted my computer as I always do and up untill then the wifi was working fine. When I booted my computer up again today I started having a strange problem: It detects my wifi but after connecting to it, it keeps on oscillating between states of no network access and no internet access. I can't connect to anything (the internet or my router). I tried to reset my internet protocol stack using this fixit file. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall my network driver. Neither helped. I am using the same laptop's fedora installation right now and the wifi is working perfectly fine. Please help. Edit To add additional details, I have Microsoft Security essentials as my antivirus software and I haven't messed with the firewall or the router configurations.
