I using this code to connect to facebook chat. When I try to retrieve list of online users instead of user name I get negative number for example: [email protected]
How can I get the original (Letters) user name?
I'm trying to come up with a list of negative reasons for the use of frameworks. I know there are many advantages, such as partially complete solutions (Collections, Exception handling, etc).
What disadvantages are there apart from the inverse of the above (ie: 'you will have to create your own collections/ own exception handling').
Thanks
Hi all,
I have RGB values that I need to convert into CMYK values. I'm using the iPhone SDK to try and do this.
I have tried a couple of things, but cannot either get the values to be anything other than 0 or 1, or the K element is completely wrong (showing up as a negative number).
Any help would be a life saver!
Thanks in advance!
Is there a way to do automatic profiling in visual studio 2008?
I know how the profiling works both from the command line and using the GUI in VS08.
What I want to accomplish:
After my nightly build I want to complete some profiling (instrumental) to see if some functions (will most likely always be the same) have changed in some negative way (or positive of course).
How can I find out what the current charset is in C++?
In a console application (WinXP) I am getting negative values for some characters (like äöüé) with
(int)mystring[a]
and this surprises me. I was expecting the values to be between 127 and 256.
So is there something like GetCharset() or SetCharset() in c++?
1) Besides the negative frequencies, which is the minimum frequency provided by the FFT function? Is it zero?
2) If it is zero how do we plot zero on a logarithmic scale?
3) The result is always symmetrical? Or it just appears to be symmetrical?
4) If I use abs(fft(y)) to compare 2 signals, may I lose some accuracy?
My sql query gives the columns:
product_id (which is an integer)
pnl (which is float - can be negative)
I get more than 100 rows.
I want to filter out the top 40 rows based on abs(pnl).
But the results should be ordered by pnl column only and not by abs(pnl).
I want to do this for MSSQL 2005.
Is there a way to do this?
int val =233;
byte b = (byte)val;
System.out.println(b);
I have a simple case, like one integer with some value & i want to convert that value & place in the byte type for output. But in this case negative value is coming?
How to successfully place the int value to byte type.
I have some financial values stored as text in a mysql db. the significance of financial is that negative numbers are stored enclosed in paranthesis. is there a way to automatically get the numeric value associated with that text. (like '5' shoudl be retuned as 5 and '(5)' should be returned as -5)
Basically in relation to this question It seems like e.X,y and e.Location.X,Y is relative to mousedown? I seen negative values when i havent moved it left/above the parent picbox.
So it seems like the values are relative to my mousedown, but i need values relative to the parent because i update the left/top every event and other datat and relative to mousedown is breaking my code.
I have a div which is contained by another 960px-wide centered div. I'm adding a background to the inner div which should expand all the way to the window's edges horizontally, essentially escaping the boundaries of its container. If I apply a large negative margin and equal amount of padding, this works on the left side, but the right side causes a scroll bar to appear. Does anyone know how I can achieve this without causing scroll bars?
I need a regex that will match blahfooblah but not blahfoobarblah
I want it to match only foo and everything around foo, as long as it isn't followed by bar.
I tried using this: foo.*(?<!bar) which is fairly close, but it matches blahfoobarblah. The negative look behind needs to match baranything and not just bar.
The specific language I'm using is Clojure which uses Java regexes under the hood.
Hi.
I need to obtain the velocity of an android device, based on the accelerometer values. I made a code that allows me to get the accelerometer values, and then I calculate the velocity, using the formula:
v = v0 + at. (vector calculation)
My problem is that my velocity only increases and never decreases. I think the problem is that the device never gets an negative acceleration.
Can you help me with this?
If a large number is subtracted from a smaller number then borrow is needed. The carry flag plays the role of borrow during the subtraction operation.
Now suppose we want to subtract 56 from 66, obviously the borrow is needed and carry flag will be set. Now how this subtraction is performed to get the result -10, how computer will distinguish that the result is going to be a negative number. Please explain the process.
How can I do a sed regex swap on all text that preceed a line matching a regex.
e.g. How can I do a swap like this
s/foo/bar/g
for all text that precedes the first point this regex matches:
m/baz/
I don't want to use positive/negative look ahead/behind in my sed regex, because those are really expensive operations on big files.
Hi,
The title says it all.
public:
inline int GetValue() const {
return m_nValue;
}
inline void SetValue(int nNewValue) {
this -> m_nValue = nNewValue;
}
On Learn C++, they said it would run faster. So, I thought it would be great.
But maybe, there are some negative points to it.
Trying to resize (enlarge) an image with animate().
Didn't manage to resize it from center – always resizes from the top-left corner.
Is there a way to resize (enlarge) it from a centered registration point?
Negative margins/positions didn't work.
"([\"'])(?:\\\\?+.)*?\\1"
I came up to this regexp to match all quoted strings..
It seems to work great...
The problem is how to match the text that isnt inside quotes..
The inverse -negative somehow...
I read the documentation and
(?!(([\"'])(?:\\\\?+.)*?\\1))
doesnt work
Hi,
In an if statement with multiple conditions is second executed if the outcome is clear after checking the first condition?
example:
if(i>0 && array[i]==0){
}
If I swap the conditions a seg fault may occur for negative values of i but this way the memory debugger doesn't find a problem. Can I be sure that this works always or do have have to use nested if statements?
I am writing some simple output in fortran, but I want whitespace delimiters. If use the following statement, however:
format(A20,ES18.8,A12,ES18.8)
I get output like this:
p001t0000 3.49141273E+01obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00
I would prefer this:
p001t0000 3.49141273E+01 obsgp_oden 1.00000000E+00
I tried using negative values for width (like in Python) but no dice. So, is there a way to left-justify the numbers?
Many thanks in advance!
