py.test import context problems (causes Django unit test failure)

I made a following test: # main.py import imported print imported.f.__module__ # imported.py def f(): pass # test_imported.py (py.test test case) import imported def test_imported(): result = imported.f.__module__ assert result == 'imported' Running python main.py, gives me imported, but running py.test gives me error and result value is moduletest.imported (moduletest is the name of the directory I keep the test in. It doesn't contain __init__.py, moduletest is the only directory containing *.py files in ~/tmp). How can I fix result value? The long story: I'm getting strange errors, while testing Django application. A call to reverse() from (django.urlresolvers). with function object foo as argument in tests crashes with NoReverseMatch: Reverse for 'site.app.views.foo'. The same call inside application works. I checked and it is converted to 'app.views.foo' (without site prefix). I first suspected my customised test setup for Django, but then I made above test.

Change UIImagePicker Navigation Bar style to blue

All of my view has a blue navigation bar but when I want user to choose a photo, the UIImagePicker is black. I tried to set the navigation bar of UIImagePickerController to blue using UIBarStyleDefault but it does not work for me, the color is still black. I tried with other UIBarStyle like UIBarStyleBlack and UIBarStyleOpaque as well but it doesn't change the navigation bar of the picker anyway. Here is my code // Let the user choose a new photo. How I can use the camera filters that already exist in iOS7? Java assert nasty side-effect - compiler bug?

Compiler bug? Commenting out the assert fixes it. I want to version control my entire slice

I'm renting a slice (i.e., a VPS) from Slicehost. I've a spent a day or two filling up /usr with my favorite packages, /etc with configs and init scripts, and so on. Now I want to: save this whole setup somewhere (e.g., to load onto another machine). see what changes I've made to which files revert changes, tag revisions, and all that other good version control stuff Saving a disk image gives me (1), but not (2) and (3). Using Subversion (svn import / svn://someotherhost) might give me all three, but I expect problems if I actually try to check a project out into / and maintain .svn directories in root-owned areas. And to load my setup onto a fresh slice, I'd need to install an svn client on it first. Is there a good way to do what I want to do?

touchesBegan and other touch events not getting detected in UINavigationController

In short, I want to detect a touch on the navigation controller titlebar, but having trouble actually catching any touches at all! Everything is done without IB, if that makes a difference. My app delegate's .m file contains: MyViewController *viewController = [[MyViewController alloc] init]; navigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:viewController]; [window addSubview:navigationController.view]; There are a few other subviews added to this window in a way that overlays navigationController leaving only the navigation bar visible. MyViewController is a subclass of UIViewController and its .m file contains: - (void)touchesEnded:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { for (UITouch *touch in touches) { NSLog(@"ended\n"); } } -(void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { for (UITouch *touch in touches) { NSLog(@"began\n"); } } I also tried putting these functions directly into app delegate's .m file, but the console remains blank. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I'm very new to Git and I've been following this online tutorial for converting my existing SVN repository to a Git repository and am stuck at the final hurdle. http://www.jonmaddox.com/2008/03/05/cleanly-migrate-your-subversion-repository-to-a-git-repository/ On the last step of the tutorial it says to do this: git clone my_blog_tmp my_blog However, when I do, I get the following error: fatal: 'my_blog_tmp' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly Some points: 1) I'm entering the above command from within the "my_blog_tmp" directory 2) I've tried entering "git init" to make sure Git is initialised inside the "my_blog_tmp" folder but no joy. How do I get a full Magento session in an external script? (Specifically, Catalog Rules)

I'm running an external script that loads up a Magento session. Within that script, I'm loading products and grabbing a bunch of properties. The one issue is that getFinalPrice() does not apply the catalog rules that apply to the product. I'm doing everything I know to set the session, even a bunch of stuff that I think is superfluous. Nothing seems to get these rules applied. While loop in IL - why stloc.0 and ldloc.0?

I'm trying to understand how a while loop looks in IL. What I don't understand is the local [0] and the stloc.0/ldloc.0. As far as I see it, cgt pushes the result to the stack, stloc.0 gets the result from the stack into the local variable, ldloc.0 pushes the result to the stack again and brtrue.s reads from the stack. What is the purpose of doing this? Couldn't this be shortened to just cgt followed by brtrue.s?

How do I add the j2ee.jar to a Java2WSDL ant script programmatically?

I am using IBM's Rational Application Developer. I have an ant script that contains the Java2WSDL task. When I run it via IBM, it gives compiler errors unless I include the j2ee.jar file in the classpath via the run tool (it does not pick up the jar files in the classpath in the script). However, I need to be able to call this script programmatically, and it is giving me this error: "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException" I'm not sure which jars need to be added or where? Since a simple echo script runs, I assume that it is the j2ee.jar or another ant jar that needs to be added. I've added it to the project's buildpath, but that doesn't help. (I also have ant.jar, wsanttasks.jar, all the ant jars from the plugin, tools.jar, remoteAnt.jar, and the swt - all which are included in the buildpath when you run the script by itself.) Hi everyone, could you please help me ? I'm setting up an UILocalNotification and It crashes when I try to set its userInfo dictionary. My dictionary is not empty (It contains 88 objects). Hi, I am traditionally a Perl and C++ programmer, so apologies in advance if I am misunderstanding something trivial about Python! I would like to create a reference to a reference. Huh? Ok. All objects in Python are actually references to the real object. So, how do I create a reference to this reference? Why do I need/want this? I am overriding sys.stdout and sys.stderr to create a logging library. I would like a (second-level) reference to sys.stdout. If I could create a reference to a reference, then I could create a generic logger class where the init function receives a reference to a file handle reference that will be overrided, e.g., sys.stdout or sys.stderr. UINavigationController and memory management

I've understood that pushing searchController onto the navigation controller retains it, and I should release it from my code. I did just alloc/init it, after all, and if I don't free it, it'll leak. With that line commented out, navigation works great. With it NOT commented out, I can navigate INTO this view okay, but coming back UP a level crashes with a *** -[CFArray release]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x443a9e0 error. What's happening here? Is the NavigationController releasing it for me somehow when it goes out of view? The boilerplate that comes on a UINavigationController template in XCode has the newly-pushed controller getting released. But when I do it, it fails.

XDocument holding onto Memory?

I have an appplication that does a XDocument.Load from a 20mb file and then gets passed to a form to view its contents: openFileDialog1.FileName = ""; if (openFileDialog1.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK) { AuditFile = XDocument.Load(openFileDialog1.FileName); fmAuditLogViewer AuditViewer = new fmAuditLogViewer(); AuditViewer.ReportDocument = AuditFile; AuditViewer.Init(); AuditViewer.ShowDialog(); AuditViewer.Dispose(); AuditFile.RemoveNodes(); AuditFile = null; } In Task Manager I can see the memory being used by my application shoot up when I open this file. When I have finished viewing this file in my application I call : myXDocument.RemoveNodes(); myXDocument = null; However the memory use in Task Manager is still pretty high against my app. Is the XDocument still being held in memory and can I decrease the memory usage by my app?

After searching alot this is what I understand its my first time and havent done custom logs before. First of all which file should I edit for custom logs because this thing I cant find. I am using ubuntu server with default apache, php5 and mysql installation # I use this commands and they work fine nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf /etc/init.d/apache2 restart I think this is what I need to do for my purpose LogLevel notice LogFormat "%f %u %x %o" rewards CustomLog /var/www/logs/rewards_log rewards This is as it is command or there is something missing? and is there any particular location where I need to add this? and one more thing %o is for filesize that was sent and is it possible to log only files from a particular directory? or for files with size more than 10mb. Thank You.
