  • How to flatten already filled out PDF form using iTextSharp

    - by andryuha
    I'm using iTextSharp to merge a number of pdf files together into a single file. I'm using method described in iTextSharp official tutorials, specifically here, which merges files page by page via PdfWriter and PdfImportedPage. Turns out some of the files I need to merge are filled out PDF Forms and using this method of merging form data is lost. I've see several examples of using PdfStamper to fill out forms and flatten them. What I can't find, is a way to flatten already filled out PDF Form and hopefully merge it with the other files without saving it flattened out version first. Thanks

  • UiSplitViewController doesn't autorotate.

    - by Michael
    Hello, I have recently run into a problem. My iPad app is somehow preventing the iPad from auto-rotating. My app loads a UISplitView with both of the view controllers returning YES for shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:. I have set up my info.plist to include the "Supported interface orientations" key with all four orientations. When I run the app, however, rotating the device does not rotate the splitView (even though I am receiving UIDeviceOrientationDidChangeNotification). In addition, when I exit my app in a different orientation that it started in the iPad home screen doesn't autorotate to the correct view until I rotate it again without my app running.... Any Ideas would be much appreciated....

  • C++ template-function -> passing a template-class as template-argument

    - by SeMa
    Hello, i try to make intensive use of templates to wrap a factory class: The wrapping class (i.e. classA) gets the wrapped class (i.e. classB) via an template-argument to provide 'pluggability'. Additionally i have to provide an inner-class (innerA) that inherits from the wrapped inner-class (innerB). The problem is the following error-message of the g++ "gcc version 4.4.3 (Ubuntu 4.4.3-4ubuntu5)": sebastian@tecuhtli:~/Development/cppExercises/functionTemplate$ g++ -o test test.cpp test.cpp: In static member function ‘static classA<A>::innerA<iB>* classA<A>::createInnerAs(iB&) [with iB = int, A = classB]’: test.cpp:39: instantiated from here test.cpp:32: error: dependent-name ‘classA::innerA<>’ is parsed as a non-type, but instantiation yields a type test.cpp:32: note: say ‘typename classA::innerA<>’ if a type is meant As you can see in the definition of method createInnerBs, i intend to pass a non-type argument. So the use of typename is wrong! The code of test.cpp is below: class classB{ public: template < class iB> class innerB{ iB& ib; innerB(iB& b) :ib(b){} }; template<template <class> class classShell, class iB> static classShell<iB>* createInnerBs(iB& b){ // this function creates instances of innerB and its subclasses, // because B holds a certain allocator return new classShell<iB>(b); } }; template<class A> class classA{ // intention of this class is meant to be a pluggable interface // using templates for compile-time checking public: template <class iB> class innerA: A::template innerB<iB>{ innerA(iB& b) :A::template innerB<iB>(b){} }; template<class iB> static inline innerA<iB>* createInnerAs(iB& b){ return A::createInnerBs<classA<A>::template innerA<> >(b); // line 32: error occurs here } }; typedef classA<classB> usable; int main (int argc, char* argv[]){ int a = 5; usable::innerA<int>* myVar = usable::createInnerAs(a); return 0; } Please help me, i have been faced to this problem for several days. Is it just impossible, what i'm trying to do? Or did i forgot something? Thanks, Sebastian

  • Telerik RADGrid - linq and updating

    - by Dave
    Hi Telerik's RADGrid, basing on their example on http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/dataediting/programaticlinqupdates/defaultcs.aspx Problem: I can insert and delete, however updating doesn't work. No error trapped. Data just doesn't change. From the code below it looks like Telerik Grid is doing some kung-fu behind the scenes to wire things up. I can't see the db receiving any update statements. Question: anything obvious I'm missing? protected void RadGrid1_UpdateCommand(object source, GridCommandEventArgs e) { var editableItem = ((GridEditableItem) e.Item); var raceId = (Guid) editableItem.GetDataKeyValue("RaceID"); //retrive entity form the Db var race = DbContext.races.Where(n => n.raceid == raceId).FirstOrDefault(); if (race != null) { //update entity's state editableItem.UpdateValues(race); try { //submit chanages to Db DbContext.SubmitChanges(); } catch (Exception f) { ShowErrorMessage(f); } } } Think I may have to go back to their example.. get their db.. and attack from that point of view. Cheers!

  • Problem finding office DCOM in Component Services in Windows 7

    - by Tomas I
    I have a problem getting my word and excel to work in ASP .NET. I get the error message: {System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {000209FF-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005. at xxx.Utility.WordDocument..ctor(String filePath, HttpServerUtility util) at customer_communication.BuCreate_click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in This means I have access problem to the DCOM files. In Vista this isnt a problem, all I have to do there is to run "dcomcnfg" and in there find the Microsoft Excel dcom file. In Windows 7 I cant find it, and I have no idea what to do now... If anyone could help me that would be great!

  • Convert WPF BitmapSource to Icon for window

    - by simmotech
    I have a 16x16 .png file which I have loaded as an ImageSource (BitmapSource) and it is working fine when I use it on an Image in a tabcontrol header. I now want to use that same image in a floating window (inherited from the WPF Window class) when the user drags the document tab. (This is AvalonDock which I have tweaked to allow images in the tab header) After many searches on the web, I understand that Window.Icon requires a BitmapFrame but all the sample code seems to assume that a .ico file is available which it isn't in my case. I have tried the following code (plus variants including cloning, freezing etc): var image = (Image) content.Icon; var bitmapSource = (BitmapSource) image.Source; Icon = BitmapFrame.Create(bitmapSource); but when the Show() method is called, an exception is thrown: "Exception of type 'System.ExecutionEngineException' was thrown." How can a I create a compatible bitmap on the fly to allow the Window to display the icon?

  • How can i programmatically use aero snap features from C# code

    - by user1739957
    I have a simple question. How can I access aero snap programmatically from my C# code. Like, if I click a button "Snap Left", I want my program window to snap to the left, just like when its drug over there manually. I looked all over SO, but all the questions seem to be about aero snap not working with a form, and keeping it from snapping a form. Not programmatically snapping a form. I'm happy to use interloping. Thanks

  • Understanding and Implementing a Force based graph layout algorithm

    - by zcourts
    I'm trying to implement a force base graph layout algorithm, based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force-based_algorithms_(graph_drawing) My first attempt didn't work so I looked at http://blog.ivank.net/force-based-graph-drawing-in-javascript.html and https://github.com/dhotson/springy I changed my implementation based on what I thought I understood from those two but I haven't managed to get it right and I'm hoping someone can help? JavaScript isn't my strong point so be gentle... If you're wondering why write my own. In reality I have no real reason to write my own I'm just trying to understand how the algorithm is implemented. Especially in my first link, that demo is brilliant. This is what I've come up with //support function.bind - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Function/bind#Compatibility if (!Function.prototype.bind) { Function.prototype.bind = function (oThis) { if (typeof this !== "function") { // closest thing possible to the ECMAScript 5 internal IsCallable function throw new TypeError("Function.prototype.bind - what is trying to be bound is not callable"); } var aArgs = Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments, 1), fToBind = this, fNOP = function () {}, fBound = function () { return fToBind.apply(this instanceof fNOP ? this : oThis || window, aArgs.concat(Array.prototype.slice.call(arguments))); }; fNOP.prototype = this.prototype; fBound.prototype = new fNOP(); return fBound; }; } (function() { var lastTime = 0; var vendors = ['ms', 'moz', 'webkit', 'o']; for(var x = 0; x < vendors.length && !window.requestAnimationFrame; ++x) { window.requestAnimationFrame = window[vendors[x]+'RequestAnimationFrame']; window.cancelAnimationFrame = window[vendors[x]+'CancelAnimationFrame'] || window[vendors[x]+'CancelRequestAnimationFrame']; } if (!window.requestAnimationFrame) window.requestAnimationFrame = function(callback, element) { var currTime = new Date().getTime(); var timeToCall = Math.max(0, 16 - (currTime - lastTime)); var id = window.setTimeout(function() { callback(currTime + timeToCall); }, timeToCall); lastTime = currTime + timeToCall; return id; }; if (!window.cancelAnimationFrame) window.cancelAnimationFrame = function(id) { clearTimeout(id); }; }()); function Graph(o){ this.options=o; this.vertices={}; this.edges={};//form {vertexID:{edgeID:edge}} } /** *Adds an edge to the graph.   • Can't Deploy or Upload Large SSRS 2008 Report from VS or IE

    - by Bratch
    So far in this project I have two reports in VS2008/BIDS. The first one contains 1 tablix and is about 100k. The second one contains 3 tablixes (tablices?) and is about 257k. I can successfully deploy the smaller report from VS and I can upload it from the Report Manager in IE. I can view/run it from Report Manager and I can get to the Report Server (web service) URL from my browser just fine. Everything is done over HTTPS and there is nothing wrong with the certificates. With the larger report, the error I get in VS is "The operation has timed out" after about 100 seconds. The error when I upload from IE is "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send" after about 130 seconds. In the RSReportServer.config file I tried changing Authentication/EnableAuthPersistence from true to false and restarting the service, but still get the error. I have the key "SecureConnectionLevel" set to 2. Changing this to 0 and turning off SSL is not going to be an option. I added a registry key named "MaxRequestBytes" to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters and set it to 5242880 (5MB) and restarted the HTTP and SRS services as suggested in a forum post by Jin Chen of MSFT. I still cannot upload the larger report. This is on MS SQL 2008 and WS 2003. Below is part of a log file entry from ...\Reporting Services\LogFiles when I attempted to upload from IE. library!WindowsService_0!89c!02/10/2010-07:57:57:: i INFO: Call to CleanBatch() ends ui!ReportManager_0-1!438!02/10/2010-07:59:33:: e ERROR: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ui!ReportManager_0-1!438!02/10/2010-07:59:34:: e ERROR: HTTP status code -- 500 -------Details-------- System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. --- System.IO.IOException: Unable to write data to the transport connection: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. --- System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.MultipleSend(BufferOffsetSize[] buffers, SocketFlags socketFlags) at System.Net.Sockets.NetworkStream.MultipleWrite(BufferOffsetSize[] buffers) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- ...

  • Any other preprocessor directives in VBScript/Classic ASP?

    - by Frank
    The only pre-process directive that I know about in VBScript / Classic ASP is the #include. I don't know if that is the official name but I'm basically looking for code that can execute code or other instructions before the general VBScript. Are there any other such directives in VBScript? Such as #If or something? I'd like to be able to conditionally include or exclude a certain include file.

  • Fortran arrays and subroutines (sub arrays)

    - by ccook
    I'm going through a Fortran code, and one bit has me a little puzzled. There is a subroutine, say SUBROUTINE SSUB(X,...) REAL*8 X(0:N1,1:N2,0:N3-1),... ... RETURN END Which is called in another subroutine by: CALL SSUB(W(0,1,0,1),...) where W is a 'working array'. It appears that a specific value from W is passed to the X, however, X is dimensioned as an array. What's going on?

  • How to Link VS2010 Database Project and LINQ to SQL

    - by Jason
    As I am working with the new database projects in VS2010, and as I am learning LINQ to SQL, I am curious as to the best way to link the two groups of information so that when I update one, the other updates along with it. From my research here at SO, as well as in Google, it appears the general rule of thumb is: "Build the database, and then create your LINQ to SQL classes." Of course, if I make a change in my database, the LINQ to SQL doesn't update automatically and I have to do it by hand. This is fairly simple right now as my database is small, but I am curious if there is an easier way for this to happen. In addition, the LINQ to SQL tool is pretty nice. The ability to create tables, add associations, and even create inheritance is very simple. As my second question, I am curious as to whether or not VS2010 can work the other way - I design the database in the DBLM file and then link it back to my database project. I appreciate any help with either of these two questions. I'm really interested in making this as easy as possible to reduce errors during development and improve the speed at which changes can be made.

  • Authenticate into asp.net app from a winforms app

    - by tempid
    Hi there! We have 2 applications - 1 windows and 1 web (asp.net). Winforms runs on the customer's machine where as the website is hosted within our company. The winforms has a link which opens the web app in a browser window. The web app is secured so the login page is shown. The username and password is the same as the windows app login. How do I auto-login to the web app so the user will not see the login screen? The web app uses FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie to create an encrypted cookie on the user's machine. How do I create the same from the winforms app so the user will not see the login screen? Thanks.

  • Problem with accessing variables/functions from subclass Objective C

  • WCF "The server did not provide a meaningful reply"

    - by Nelson
    I am out of ideas here, so I'm hoping someone can help. Here is what I've got: A WCF service that only has a basicHttpBinding endpoint. There is only a service interface, all other [DataMember], [FaultContract] are concrete types. When I run it straight from Visual Studio (using WCF Test Client or my custom app) everything works (I send a request and get a response). This usually takes a second or two. I published it to an IIS 6 server. I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc?WSDL I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc/mex (same output as above) The WCF Test Client and my custom app can successfully add the service reference Whenever I try to call a service method it waits for about 15 seconds and I get the dreaded "no meaningful reply" error. I ran Fiddler and I got a 202 result, which would seem like a success. It's not returning more than 65536 bytes It's returning an array, but it is small I tried remote debugging, but can't get that to work, probably due to a firewall (but port 80 is open, I can get the WSDL) I enabled system.diagnostics, nothing. I have an IErrorHandler which normally logs things, nothing. Here's the endpoint config: <endpoint address="" binding="basicHttpBinding" contract="Enterprise.IMyService" bindingNamespace="http://ourdomain.com/MyService/"> <identity> <dns value="localhost" /> </identity> </endpoint> Anything else I can try? It's probably a simple setting somewhere, but I can't figure it out.

  • Alternative to pjax/djax and ajaxy

    - by elluca
    I was evaluating jQuery plugins to make a Drupal 7 site using AJAX everywhere. I have been using ajaxy. But it does not seem to be very actively maintained. Two possible solutions I have found are pjax and djax. What are your experiences with those plugins? What other plugins do you know that do similar functionality? Very important features are SEO friendliness (preferably using pushState so no hash is being used. Hashes are used as a fallback for not supported browsers.). And also has to be very flexible since it has to wirk with Drupal's HTML structure.

My actual code is: Ribbon rbn = new Ribbon(); RibbonTab file = new RibbonTab(); file.Name = "file"; file.Label = "FILE"; RibbonTab edit = new RibbonTab(); edit.Name = "edit"; edit.Label = "Edit"; RibbonGroupPanel rbgp = new RibbonGroupPanel(); RibbonGroup rbg = new RibbonGroup(); RibbonButton rbtn = new RibbonButton(); rbtn.Content = "New"; RibbonCommand rcomnd = new RibbonCommand(); rcomnd.LabelTitle = "NEW"; rcomnd.ToolTipDescription = "THIS IS NEW"; rcomnd.LargeImageSource = imgSource; rcomnd.Execute(rbtn, rbtn); rbtn.IsEnabled = true; //rcomnd.SmallImageSource = imgSource; rcomnd.CanExecute +=new CanExecuteRoutedEventHandler(rcomnd_CanExecute); rcomnd.Executed +=new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(rcomnd_Executed); CommandBinding cmdb = new CommandBinding(ApplicationCommands.New); cmdb.Command = ApplicationCommands.New; cmdb.Executed +=new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(cmdb_Executed); CommandBind.Add(cmdb); //rcomnd.Executed += new ExecutedRoutedEventHandler(OnAddNewEntry);*/ rbtn.Click +=new System.Windows.RoutedEventHandler(rbtn_Click); rbtn.Command = rcomnd; But the bindings are not working and the button is not enabled.

  • How create a Firefox-like search textbox in WPF?

    - by Simon
    Hey there. I'm writing an application in WPF using the MVVM-pattern and will really often use TextBoxes. I don't want to use labels for the user to know user what the text box is for, i.e. I don't want something like this: <TextBlock> Name: </TextBlock> <TextBox /> Instead, I would like the TextBox to contain its own label. Statically, you would express it like this: <TextBox>Name</TextBox> If the cursor is displayed in the textbox, i.e. the TextBox gains focus, I want the description text to disappear. If the TextBox is left empty and it loses the focus, the description text should be shown again. It's similar to the search textbox of StackOverflow or the one of Firefox. (please tell me if your not sure what I mean). One TextBox's label may change at runtime, dependending on e.g. a ComboBox's selected element or a value in my ViewModel. (It's like in Firefox's search TextBox, if you select google from the search engins' menu, the TextBox's label changes to "Google", if you select "Yahoo" its set to "Yahoo"). Thus I want to be able to bind the label's content. Consider that I may already have a Binding on the Text-Property of the TextBox. How can implement such a behaviour and make it reusable for any of my TextBox's? Code is welcome but not needed; a description of what to do is enough. Thank you in advance.
