  I would like to use Python's tempfile module to create a temporary file that I will use for communication between processes (use of pipes is awkward). The documentation I've linked to above shows two functions that almost do what I want: tempfile.NamedTemporaryFile # For creating named tempfiles tempfile.SpooledTemporaryFile # For creating tempfiles in memory but actually I want a tempfile that is both named AND in memory. Any ideas?

  I was using something like public int Test(System.Windows.Forms.ListBox.ObjectCollection Colecction) { } With this I want to pass just the ObjectCollection of the control, to sort, add and delete elements without passing the entire control, but someone told me that, this way of calling the collection, actualy, create an entire ListBox, making it a worst decition, than, passing a ListBox as a parameter.   The code itself isn't complex, it's just not working properly: Uri uri = new Uri("https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/feeds/sites/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mydomain.co.uk%2F"); WebRequest.Create(uri); I get a "Bad Request" back from the server, and after much MUCH digging, discovered that the uri is being turned in to "https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/feeds/sites/http%3A//www.mydomain.co.uk/" which is not what I asked for, and so it's having a whinge Is there a way to stop this?

  Using InsertOnSubmit seems to have some memory overhead. I have a System.Data.Linq.Table<User> table. When I do table.InsertOnSubmit(user) and then int count = table.Count(), the memory usage of my application increases by roughly the size of the User table, but the count is the number of items before user was inserted. So I'm guess an enumeration after InsertOnSubmit will create a copy of the table. Is that true?
