  The code below works as far as inserting records from a file into MySQL, but it only does so properly if the columns in the file are already ordered the same way as in the database. I would like for the user to be able to select the drop down the corresponds to each column in their file to match it up with the columns in the database (the database has email address, first name, last name).   I'm try to work out how to use optparse, but I've come to a problem. My script (represented by this simplified example) takes a file, and does different things to it depending on options that are parsed to it. If no options are parsed nothing is done. It makes sense to me that because of this, an error should be given if no options are given by the user. I can't work out how to do this. Am I using options in the wrong way?   Right now I have the following query: SELECT name, COUNT(name), time, price, ip, SUM(price) FROM tablename WHERE time >= $yesterday AND time <$today GROUP BY name And what I'd like to do is add a DISTINCT by column 'ip', i.e. SELECT DISTINCT ip FROM tablename So my final output would be all the columns, from all the rows that where time is today, grouped by name (with name count for each repeating name) and no duplicate ip addresses. What should my query look like? (or alternatively, how can I add the missing filter to the output with php)? Thanks in advance.

  Hi all, I would like to create a multi-dimensional array with two variables but don't know how. This is what i have so far; $_SESSION['name'][] = $row_subject['name']; $_SESSION['history'][]= $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; I wanted to know if this is possible? $_SESSION['name'][] = $row_subject['name'],$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; i want to get the name of a programme which is generated via a data base and also to retrieve the url. What i am actually doing once the name is retrieve, i want to make that a link which the url would be necessary. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

• EF4 CTP5 Code First approach ignores Table attributes

  I'm using EF4 CTP5 code first approach but am having trouble getting it to work. I have a class called "Company" and a database table called "CompanyTable". I want to map the Company class to the CompanyTable table, so have code like this: [Table(Name = "CompanyTable")] public class Company { [Key] [Column(Name = "CompanyIdNumber", DbType = "int")] public int CompanyNumber { get; set; } [Column(Name = "CompanyName", DbType = "varchar")] public string CompanyName { get; set; } } I then call it like so: var db = new Users(); var companies = (from c in db.Companies select c).ToList(); However it errors out: Invalid object name 'dbo.Companies'. It's obviously not respecting the Table attribute on the class, even though it says here that Table attribute is supported. Also it's pluralizing the name it's searching for (Companies instead of Company.) How do I map the class to the table name?

  I have two Doctrine entities looking like that: /** * @Entity * @Table(name = "Locales") */ class Locale { /** * @Id @Column(type="integer") * @GeneratedValue(strategy="IDENTITY") */ private $id; /** @Column(length=2, name="Name", type="string") */ private $code; } /** * @Entity * @Table(name = "localized") */ class LocalizedStrings { /** * @Id @Column(type="integer") * @GeneratedValue(strategy="IDENTITY") */ private $id; /** @Column(name="Locale", type="integer") */ private $locale; /** @Column(name="SomeText", type="string", length=300) */ private $someText; } I'd like to create reference between these entities. LocalizedStrings needs reference to Locale but Locale doesn't need reference to LocalizedStrings. How to write such mapping via Doctrine 2?
