  • Access remote service in different application

    Hi I defined a remote service over a AIDL file. Now i want to access this service in a different application. But how can I do that? The AIDL file is not accessible in my second application, and if i just copy the AIDL file, then the service can^^t be found. Any hints for that problem?? Thanks Sebi

  • Using NSXMLParser to parse Vimeo XML on iPhone.

    Hello, I'm working on an iPhone app that will use Vimeo Simple API to give me a listing our videos by a certain user, in a convenient TableView format. I'm new to Parsing XML and have tried TouchXML, TinyXML, and now NSXMLParser with no luck. Most tutorials on parsing XML are for a blog, and not for an API XML sheet. I've tried modifying the blog parsers to search for the specific tags, but it doesn't seem to work. Right now I'm working with NSXMLParser and it seems to correctly find the value of an XML tag, but when it goes to append it to a NSMutableString, it writes a whole bunch of nulls in between it.     When you attach a file to an e-mail using the ACTION_SEND intent (with the extra EXTRA_STREAM) does the e-mail app copy that attached file to its own location? My app creates a file and attaches it to an email, but this can happen many times and I would like to be able to delete this file when it is no longer needed (so it doesn't flood the user's storage with junk data). Is the file safe to delete after the e-mail intent has started?

What should be the effect of the HAVING clause here?

    Your code is of course checked into a repository somewhere, but where do you keep your working copy/copies? C:\Program Files isn't right, as it's for installed packages. My Documents somehow doesn't seem right, either—a My Code folder next to My Music and My Pictures? Dumping in C:\ is messy, but seems to be "working" for other people in my office.

    I was surprised to see in the Java source that System.arraycopy is a native method. Of course the reason is because it's faster. But what native tricks is the code able to employ that make it faster? Why not just loop over the original array and copy each pointer to the new array - surely this isn't that slow and cumbersome?     I execute the following command line for ffmpeg.exe -i C:\Beema\video-source\DO_U_BEEMA176x144short.avi -i C:\Beema\video-source\DO_U_BEEMA176x144short.avi -i C:\Beema\temp\9016730-51056331-stitcheds.avi -i C:\Beema\video-source\GOTTA_BEEMA176x144short.avi -y -ac 1 -r 24 -b 25K C:\Beema\video-out\9a062fb6-d448-48fe-b006-a85d51adf8a1.mpg The output file in video-out ends up having a single copy of DO_U_BEEMA. I do not understand why ffmpeg is not concatenating. Any help is dramatically appreciated,

    Hi, I've just installed a fresh copy of SQL 2008 Express. before I did anything I opened Management Studio and successfully connected using Window Authentication. However I tried to run the following on the command line "telnet localhost 1433" and got the error "Could not open connection to the host, on port 1433: Connect failed" I checked netstat and there is nothing listening on port 1433.   • how to stop objcopy from padding sections

    I'm using objcopy on bash (ubuntu linux) and im trying to copy 2 sections from an ELF file using the folowing commend: objcopy -j .section1 -j .section2 The problem is the objcopy is adding some padding between the sections. Is there a way (a flag?) that can stop objcopy from padding the sections? the sections are placed one after the other in the file so there is no need for any kind of padding....
