• Stop excel from converting copy-pasted number/text values to date

  I'm copy-pasting some data from html table into excel. But excel automatically converts some text or number values to date! When I change the format, the number is perversed, the number is something like 4112523 (excel probably interprets the cell as date and then converts to number or something like that...) There is a trick for importing CSV files, but is there any solution when you are pasting your data directly from a web browser?

  I am trying to watch some videos stored on my desktop computer on the Xbox, but they are in a format that the Xbox cannot decode, so I have to stream them through Windows Media Center. However, as soon as I set up Media Center on the Xbox, anyone can go in and browse the directory structure on my desktop. I would like to "lock" the media library so that only I can add and delete folders from my desktop computer. Is it possible?

  I just got some 20Gb of data in a Visual FoxPro database with a custom frontend probably written in the same framework, and need to extract that data in any well-known format. I don't know anything about VFP in particular, but as it is SQL, there should be a way of opening an SQL console, or maybe an vfpdump utility. How can I do that? Everything I have now are a bunch of obscure binary files and a frontend executable.

  I have an Transcend pendrive, and when I connect it and double click it to explore, it is showing the error: Please insert a disk into drive Also In the properties field it is showing File system- Unknown Used space- 0 bytes free space- 0 bytes capacity- 0 bytes I tried to format it using using the command prompt but it is not showing in the list disk command. It is also not showing in the Disk Management.

  If I connect my Kindle Fire to the computer, Calibre gives me an option to convert to Kindle Fire mobi format. Is this different from just asking to convert to mobi? I don't want to connect my Kindle anymore, I want to send to the cloud, but I'm not willing to lose conversion quality because of lack of ebook reader information. Of course, I couldn't find the convert to Kindle option without it being connected.

  Hello, I have a file hosting site and I want to know what should be the apache log format/code to log records for only filesizes above 5mb that were served as download/output bandwidth So log looks like this visitors_ip filepath(or filename) output bandwidth One more thing data should be recorded ONLY FOR COMPLETED DOWNLOADS which I believe is checked through %X I think output bandwidth is same as the filesize that was served as download if whole file is downloaded. And choose the output format to be xVid(.avi)<--that is exactly what is written on the application. I don't want to waste a blank dvd and try if it really can be played. So if you have tried this before please tell me if it works. And I have tried burning .avi files and it works because they are genuine avi files which I did not convert

I will format the PC and all importante data must be saved. I have doubts particularly about C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData and how save it using a Ubuntu live CD in case I don't have access to the Windows 7 PC. AppData have a lot of syslink inside!

  When i made a new drive it take some space for system file FAT32 take the less space, then NTFS, then ext4 my question how to know the space will be taken for the system before make the drive, if the drive 1giga or 100giga for FAT32, NTFS, ext4.   I was inspecting my apache access logs(I use default combined log format) and I came a cross a wired entry 69.171.247.0 - - [22/Oct/2012:18:15:20 +0200] "GET /some site resources HTTP/1.1" 404 514 "-" "facebookexternalhit/1.0 (+http://www.facebook.com/externalhit_uatext.php)" As u see, this query come from a facebook robot that extract objects from site when somebody post a link. What I find weird is the logged ip address : 69.171.247.0 Does anybody know how is that possible ?

  I have an Apache 2.2 VirtualHost with a *.domain.com Servername. This is required for my scenario, all subdomains are handled with the same site. Now, in the access log, I am trying to figure out a logformat variable (or way) that will let me log the asked for domain name. If I use the vhost_combined format, all I get in my access log is *.domain.com entries, not the actual vhost that was asked for. Anyone know how to do this?

  I understand I'll need to re-install all the applications, but will upgrading from Windows XP (32 bit) to Windows 7 (64 bit) automatically format my hard drive removing out all my stuff? Or I'll just need to install all the appls but my files (like pictures and documents) will remain on that hard drive? (Trying to figure out if I really need to get 500GB spare space anywhere to copy my data temporarily to.)
