So, you build an e-commerce site, all your products are on there, but then very little changes which obviously causes your site to become less active, and ultimately not ranking as highly in search engines.
Is there anything that can be done to keep it active? I'm aware that inbound links are important and I guess these come over time, are there any other recommended means of keeping the site active?
Before SQL Server 2008, you had to build a custom solution if you wanted to keep track of the changes to the data in your tables. SQL Server 2008 has a new offering called Change Tracking that keeps track of each DML event type and the keys of the row that was affected.
Paul Zikopoulos continues his series on DB2 9 and Microsoft Access 2007, explaining in this installment how to build forms that run against DB2 data servers.
Today Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for SQL Server 2008 SP3. KB article: KB #2771833 There are 9 fixes listed at the time of writing The build number is 10.00.5828.00 Relevant for @@VERSION between 10.00.5500 and 10.00.5827 It seems clear that Service Pack 2 servicing has been discontinued. So there is even less reason to hold onto those old builds, and every reason to upgrade to Service Pack 3 . As usual, I'll post my standard disclaimer here: these updates are NOT for SQL Server...(read more)

A simple, SEO Friendly, C#, ASP.NET, XML Content Management System (CMS)
These 'WebFoundations' are a great starting block when developing an ASP.NET CMS.
Features:
* A WYSIWYG editor (FCKEditor)
* Content caching (No IO overhead)
* Multi language support (can be set on querystring or dropdown)
* Search engine friendly URL's (url rewriting)
* Easily themable (Build on ASP.Net Master Pages)
* An image gallery control (it consumes XML Picasa exports)
Web Foundation sites can be hosted on inexpensive hosting as there is NO Database requirement (all the data is stored in XML files).
Keywords for anyone are the backbone to traffic, it doesn't matter where you place links, how you write articles, and how you build your pages keywords play a huge part in getting traffic to your website (and blog). More and more I receive emails regarding some new internet marketing "free traffic source" of the "best new back linking method" and all these are good and may indeed work in some situations they are somewhat redundant in others.

<b>Spencer Herzberg Blog: </b>"So the goal of this post will be to install a 32-bit chroot of 9.10 in my fresh install of 10.04 as 9.10 is easier to build and test Cyanogen's custom Android rom. I have modified some guides from here and here. I have also elected to use schroot as it allows for easy chroot access."
I am planning to build an expression parser that will be used to graph algebraic functions ( think TI-83 ) with JavaScript.
Functions will take the form of f(x)=
Aside from typical operators such as: + - * / ^
I'd also like to add support for inline functions such as: sin(), cos(), log() and random().
I have looked at implementing the Shunting Yard algorithm for parsing expressions, but it does not look like an efficient approach to evaluating a function with a hundreds or thousands of inputs. What other known algorithms exist for this task?
Wait, Chrome Dev Tools could do THAT?
Your browser is one of the most and best instrumented development platforms -- you may just not realize it yet. In this episode we'll take a whirlwind tour of how to analyze network performance, rendering and layout pipeline, as well as detecting memory leaks in your Javascript code, and using audits and extensions to build faster and better apps!

I am building an online social network. I have finished writing RESTful API service using Django. This will return only JSON response (No HTML will be generated from server side) so that this JSON response can be used to build native smartphone apps. API service being common to all clients.
My question is, since there is no HTML response from server side, can the MV* Javascript Frameworks like Angular / Backbone / Ember take care of complete Front-end, right from generating HTML page with CSS?

I am creating my first ever major plugin for Wordpress and I intend to share it to the community. It integrates paypal's subscription button which is very useful for people who wishe to build a membership site using Wordpress. Question: Is IPN reliable enough that there's no need to control the subscription thru cron myself? I have not tested my plugin for a span of a month or so though because doing so would eat a lot of my time.
I'd like to build a machine running Ubuntu and using the new Sandy bridge (i5 2500 specifically) intel cpu's. I heard that 10.10 doesn't have the best support (or simply won't work) with the new cpus and 1155 mobos. I'm assuming that 11.04 will have support but do the alpha's have it already? Or will I have to wait? Also, I plan to use the onboard Intel graphics (H67 mobo), will there be support for this or will I still need to use a graphic's card?

I'm trying to animate multiple(3) entities using one model(IQM format).
It's working but performance is really bad because I'm calling animate function for each entity in my game loop (I think problem is there).
What's the best way to animate multiple entities (with different animation ofc) in OpenGL? I think I can try build one VBO / entity for better performances but I don't think it's the best way to do it.
I've got the following in /.bashrc
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/bin/jdk1.7.0_03/
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/bin/jdk1.7.0_03/bin
This is fine, if I do $JAVA_HOME I get the directory above.
The problem is if I do java -version I get...
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.1) (6b24-1.11.1-4ubuntu3)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)
How do I make the official jdk version the right one?
Sorry I'm extremely new to Ubuntu.
Thanks,
David
