• How to locate the line where a vim plugin error occurs: "Mapping not found"

  When I open gvim, it gives "Mapping not found" warning. I found out that the problem is related to the snipmates.vim plugin. But I can't locate where exactly in snipmates.vim file this error is produced. Is there a way to find out the exact cause? Note: gvim 7.2 runs on Windows XP. I found a solution advice in vim mail list. gvim -V20 2>&1 | tee logfile I run this command from command prompt but it doesn't output anything into the logfile. All the logs are written on the entry screen of gvim.

• SQL Server Management Studio - Error connecting to remote DB

  All right, here is the deal: I'm connecting to a Windows 2003 Server using VPN. On this server, there is a remote SQL Server 2005 Express engine. I can connect to the database using Visual Studio 2008. What I can't do though, is connect to this same database with SQL Server 2005 Management Studio (Standard). I have checked the connection info a hundred times and still nothing. One thought: do VS ans SSMS use the same sql provider? Note: I'm running Windows 7 RC. I had absolutely no problem using the same config under Vista. This is the error I get when trying to connect with SSMS:

• How to configure mysqldump to avoid max_allowed_packet error

  Honestly it baffles me that with a completely default installation of mysql if I run mysqldump with default parameters it generates a SQL file that can't be imported into another completely default installation of mysql. From what I can gather it's got something to do with the max_allowed_packet setting and/or the net_buffer_length setting. I've read a bunch about this, and tried tweaking it a bunch of ways on both the export and import sides, but it still doesn't work. I keep getting the packet too big error on import. From everything I've read, here's my best guess: mysqldump --net_buffer_length=50000 myschema > giant_file.sql Because I read here that mysqldump refers to max_allowed_packet as net_buffer_length because ... uhh ... anyway. Then to import mysql --max_allowed_packet=999999 myschema < giant_file.sql But this still doesn't work. How do I export / import the database???

  We have a Windows Server 2008 R2 with Active Directory (hereafter called DC) running as a domain controller on which we have IIS and an FTP site installed. We have a second Server 2008 (hereafter called SHARE) which is joined to that domain and has a disk shared as a network share (\\share\Office). That network share is used as the ftp's physical path on DC. We've tested the FTP from the IIS FTP configuration panel, by clicking on Basic Settings... then Test Settings....   We are seeing errors on some of our QA testing scripts that intermittently throw Connection Reset By Peer errors. The Test scripts submit requests via F5 which forwards requests to Apache (2.2.21) with a mod_jk load_balancer with the following setting for each worker in the worker.property worker1 props worker.worker1.type=ajp13 worker.worker1.port=8109 worker.worker1.lbfactor=1 worker.worker1.host=skunkhost1.com worker.worker1.connection_pool_timeout=30 and here is what is in the JBoss domain.xml for the AJP port from JBoss 7.1.1 <unbounded-queue-thread-pool name="SKUNKY.APP.AJP"> <max-threads count="300"/> <keepalive-time time="3" unit="minutes"/> </unbounded-queue-thread-pool> Here is httpd.conf Timeout 300 KeepAlive On KeepAliveTimeout 15 MaxKeepAliveRequests 100 TraceEnable Off My question is that is it posisbe that apache times out and closes the connection while jboss is still ready and working on the request? • booting FreeBSD 9 from USB stick: boot error

  I am trying to boot FreeBSD 9 from a USB stick that I created following the official guidelines: dd if=FreeBSD-9.0-RELEASE-i386-memstick.img of=/dev/da0 bs=64k Booting fails with a simple 'boot error'. I have used this USB stick for quite a while for the very purpose of booting / installing new OSs, but I tried a different one anyway - same problem. I have also reproduced the issue on a different machine. I've acquired to image file over torrent which AFAIK has an md5 check built in, but I downloaded it again anyway directly from a FreeBSD mirror. Same result. Does anyone have any success with this ? I did not find anything related online which seems to suggest this is not a well-known problem. Does anyone have a thought where else to search for the cause of the problem ?

  Hi, I have a web server ( IIS 7.5 , windows 2008 64 Bit web server ed) and notice that in last few days all web sites on server stopped and cant browser by visitor. I check the event log but I didnt see any things related to this problem. When I try to restart IIS i got error on W3SVC serivce.When IIS try to STOP it, W3SVC goes to stopping state and never stop. so I can't start it again. I try and find that I never can restart the W3SVC and when IIS work fine if I try to restart this service, it goes to stopping and never stop. 1- how can I find the problem on IIS? ( i have several asp.net app host on it ) 2- how can I fix W3SVC service stopping problem? Thanks Mehdi

  I configured database mail profile as gmail smtp server, SSL and port 465. I didn't restart server. And this is first time to use Database Mail feature on that server. When I send a testing mail it give me this error message: The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (The operation has timed out) I tried this mail configuration with Thunderbird and I could send messages througt this SMTP. Why is SQL Server giving this eror message? • HTTP 401 error in Windows Authentication disappears after swapping Providers

  The IIS 7 on Windows 2008 R2 is acting really weird. We deploy our web apps as web sites with appcmd.exe. After they are deployed, if I browse to them, I'll get HTTP 401 errors. The web sites are only have Windows Authentication enabled and the providers are Negotiate and NTLM in such order. But if I swap the providers, the HTTP 401 error goes away. Even if I swap it back, the errors are still gone. So the order of the providers doesn't seem to matter, what matters is the swapping. It must have triggered something. Even if we delete the web site and application pool and reinstall the web sites, the errors are still gone. So far, we can't reproduce it easily since it happens randomly. Has anyone experienced this? How do I go about to troubleshoot it?

  I have a webservice /test/Service1.asmx in the same folder as a page /test/test.aspx. The page works fine but I get the message bellow for the services in the same location. I know the file is there and the url is correct, and I have added the script module and managed handler as well.   I have a D-Link DIR-615 router since around six months. My internet connection is VPN (PPTP) based, i.e. I have been given a username and password from my ISP and my IP address is dynamic. • Installing ruby 1.9.1 on OS X with RVM, getting error I can't make sense of

  I'm trying to update my ruby install on Leopard to at least 1.9.1. I found a tutorial that tells me how to do it with RVM and I get as far as downloading, configuring and compiling the version I want, but during the compile I get errors.   Hi! I have a Win2K3 machine which I want to access via remote desktop. When I try remote desktop on another machine the session just ends as soon as it attempts connection. I never see the log-on sceeen or anything. It just returns to the remote desktop connection dialog. I have checked the service on the target machine and it's up and running, so how can I determine the error? Is there any way to re-install terminal services and see if it just fixed?

  I have 4 avi files. Each file can be played properly in VLC player, Windows media player. Video-Audio Codec type in each of this avi file is Xvid-Mpga. I used below avi joiners: Quick AVI joiner, AVI join, BoilSoft Video Joiner(trial version), but all of them gave an error when i select the first part avi file saying : "format of the part1.avi file cannot be recognized".. • Error accessing other groups files in apache

  I am using Cloud9 IDE on my server, which creates files with default permission 640. As a result when I try to open those file via HTTP, apache shows permission denied error. When IDE is running as root user, files created belong to root:root. Also, when I see as what user is apache running, all its processes are shown to be running as root user. I cannot understand why still it cannot access files. I know if I add apache's user to group of file owner, it will work. But, I don't know which user to add. PS: I don't want to change permission of each file I create. I want less troubling solution.

  When running any sudo command from Jenkins I get the following error: sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified I understand that I can solve this by adding a NOPASSWD entry to my /etc/sudoers file which will allow user jenkins to run commands without needing a password. I can add an entry like this: %jenkins ALL=(ALL)NOPASSWD:/home/vts_share/test/sudotest.sh ...but this leads to the following issue: how to avoid specifying full path in sudoers file? I can add an entry like this: %jenkins ALL=NOPASSWD: ALL ...but this allows user jenkins to avoid the password prompt for all commands, which seems a bit unsafe. I'm just curious what my options are here, and if there are any best practices I should consider.

  I have a network drive mapped to a share on a Window Server 2003. I have a shortcut to this drive stored in my Windows 7 favorites. When I double click the shortcut and then rename a file on the drive, if the file is longer than 8 chars or contains spaces then I get this error The drive that this file or folder is stored on does not allow long file names, or names containing blanks or any of the following characters:... If I get to the network drive by click on it in the tree under computer then it works fine. Is there a way to get round this?

• Getting error code -41 when copying files to external drive

  I'm having trouble copying some files from my mac to an external hard drive: I keep getting the nondescript "error code -41". I noticed some of the files with an additional "@" permission bit had the "com.apple.quarantine" flag set. I used the "xattr" command from this article What should I do about com.apple.quarantine? to take care of the quarantine flag and sort that out (these files were copied over from another mac on my network, so I guess OS X flagged them as quarantine). That took care of the problem for those files but I still have some that I can't manually copy over to the external drive. The only other thing I've noticed is that some of these files have a an extra permission bit: "drwxr-xr-x+" which I haven't been successful in googling. Aside from that I don't see anything else. Also, Disk Utility says everything's fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
