    I am new to web programming...I have been asked to create a simple Internet search application which would allow transmit to the browser some data stored remotely in the server. Considering the client/server architecture (which I am new to) I would like to know if the "client" is represented only by the Internet browser and therefore the entire code of the web application should be stored in the server. THe problem is before vista SP1 was installed the CRViewer is to load propery and show the report but after SP1 it does not , CRViewer.IsBusy is always set to true.

    Hi all, currently I'm assigning a TextWriter to the Log property of my Linq to Sql data context (per request instancing) and write this to my logging when an exception is thrown while executing a stored procedure (is strongly typed mapped in the context, so not executing a custom command) however when using ADO.NET we normally inspect the SqlCommand upon unhandled exception to read out the parameters and log them is it possible to access the SqlCommand that was used for executing a Stored Procedure in L2S so we can reuse that existing logging component? This would be far nicer than the current Log TextWriter solution.... greetings, Tim

When i browse the docs, the excpected type for labels is a Map[Int,Label].

What are some strategies for implement this feature? FYI, The platform I am using is rather bare-bone in its GUI/front-end execution. To change color and formatting, it requires a change to the formatting state (much like OpenGL).

    I want to make a component that includes a list of integers as one of its serialized properties. I know I can't declare a TList<integer> as a published property, because it doesn't descend from TPersistent. I've read that you can define "fake" published properties if you override DefineProperties, but I'm not quite sure how that works, especially when it comes to creating a fake property that's a list, not a single value. Can someone point me in the right direction?
