In the following code, I would like to replace 'hardcoded' identifier COMMENT with the variable editedField. How to do that? var editedField:String = event.dataField; if (model.multipleProcessingData[i][editedInformationProductNO].COMMENT != null{ ... }

  • Shopping Cart in Flex 4

    - by chchrist
    I am trying to code a shopping cart using Flex 4. I am at the design process and I need to figure out which design pattern to use. I am thinking of using the Singleton pattern. I will have a Product Value Object where I'll save each product's values and the I'll push each product to an array variable in my Singleton class. Is my logic OK? Is there a better way? Thanks in advance

  • Runge-Kutta Method with adaptive step

    - by infoholic_anonymous
    I am implementing Runge-Kutta method with adaptive step in matlab. I get different results as compared to matlab's own ode45 and my own implementation of Runge-Kutta method with fixed step. What am I doing wrong in my code? Is it possible? function [ result ] = rk4_modh( f, int, init, h, h_min ) % % f - function handle % int - interval - pair (x_min, x_max) % init - initial conditions - pair (y1(0),y2(0)) % h_min - lower limit for h (step length) % h - initial step length % x - independent variable ( for example time ) % y - dependent variable - vertical vector - in our case ( y1, y2 ) function [ k1, k2, k3, k4, ka, y ] = iteration( f, h, x, y ) % core functionality performed within loop k1 = h * f(x,y); k2 = h * f(x+h/2, y+k1/2); k3 = h * f(x+h/2, y+k2/2); k4 = h * f(x+h, y+k3); ka = (k1 + 2*k2 + 2*k3 + k4)/6; y = y + ka; end % constants % relative error eW = 1e-10; % absolute error eB = 1e-10; s = 0.9; b = 5; % initialization i = 1; x = int(1); y = init; while true hy = y; hx = x; %algorithm [ k1, k2, k3, k4, ka, y ] = iteration( f, h, x, y ); % error estimation for j=1:2 [ hk1, hk2, hk3, hk4, hka, hy ] = iteration( f, h/2, hx, hy ); hx = hx + h/2; end err(:,i) = abs(hy - y); % step adjustment e = abs( hy ) * eW + eB; a = min( e ./ err(:,i) )^(0.2); mul = a * s; if mul >= 1 % step length admitted keepH(i) = h; k(:,:,i) = [ k1, k2, k3, k4, ka ]; previous(i,:) = [ x+h, y' ]; %' i = i + 1; if floor( x + h + eB ) == int(2) break; else h = min( [mul*h, b*h, int(2)-x] ); x = x + keepH(i-1); end else % step length requires further adjustments h = mul * h; if ( h < h_min ) error('Computation with given precision impossible'); end end end result = struct( 'val', previous, 'k', k, 'err', err, 'h', keepH ); end The function in question is: function [ res ] = fun( x, y ) % res(1) = y(2) + y(1) * ( 0.9 - y(1)^2 - y(2)^2 ); res(2) = -y(1) + y(2) * ( 0.9 - y(1)^2 - y(2)^2 ); res = res'; %' end The call is: res = rk4( @fun, [0,20], [0.001; 0.001], 0.008 ); The resulting plot for x1 : The result of ode45( @fun, [0, 20], [0.001, 0.001] ) is:

  • How to get absolute paths after vpath matching in make?

    - by Honza
    I have a makefile that depending on some properties sets vpath and generates a list of source files into one variable. I need to run the makefile without compiling anything (the compilation is actually handled by a different makefile) and just see to which real files the filenames get matched depending on the vpath settings.

  • Failed to obtain JDBC Driver for MySQL under Tomcat environment

    - by Michael Mao
    Hi all: I've been trying to obtain the Driver class for JDBC connection to MySQL. The workstation is running on Linux, Fedora 10. I have manually set up the classpath variable for Java by CLI like this: bash-3.2$ echo $CLASSPATH /home/cmao/public_html/jsp/mysql-connector-java-5.1.12-bin.jar This shows that I've added the lastest mysql connection jar archive to my CLASSPATH variable. I've created a test JSP page which can be found here And source code for this page is: <%@page language="java"%> <%@page import="java.sql.*"%> <%@page import="java.util.*"%> <html> <head> <title>UTS JDBC MySQL connection test page</title> </head> <body> <% Connection con = null; out.print("Java version is : " + System.getProperty("java.version") + "<br />"); out.print("Tomcat version is : " + application.getServerInfo() + "<br />"); out.print("Servlet version is: " + application.getMajorVersion() + "<br />"); out.print("JSP version is : " + JspFactory.getDefaultFactory().getEngineInfo().getSpecificationVersion() +"<br />"); //out.print("Java classpath is : " + System.getProperty("java.class.path")+ "<br />"); //out.print("JSP classpath is : " + appliaction.getAttribute("org.apache.catalina.jsp_classpath") + "<br />"); //out.print("Tomcat classpath is : " + System.getProperty("org.apache.tomcat.common.classpath") + "<br />"); try { Class c = Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"); } catch(Exception e) { out.println("Error! Failed to obtain JDBC driver for MySQL... Missing class \"com.mysql.jdbc.Driver\"<br />"); } %> </body> </html> None of those commented out line would work, various Jsper Expetions would be thrown. You can check those Error pages from the following links: classpath Error page catalina Error page tomcat Error page It seems, from my limited knowledge of JSP and Servlet, the Tomcat environment "ignores" my Java CLASSPATH? In which case I cannot configure the MySQL JDBC package to let my Servlets(a JSP is but a Servlet anyway) work. I am not sure how to fix this issue. would it be better if I use an IDE like Eclipse or NetBeans and create a real Java "web app" so that everything can be "self-configured" by the usage of a web.config XML configuration file? So that I can certainly bypass this Tomcat environment restriction? Many thanks for the suggestions in advance.

  • Keyword Selection Background?

    - by Irwin
    I just installed MSVS2010 Ultimate & I've noticed something which is somewhat annoying & conflicting with my syntax highlighting, as can be seen: As can be seen, when a keyword/function/variable/etc is highlighted all other instances of the aforementioned are highlighted too. This is somewhat annoying. Is there any way to disable this?

  • XSLT, JSTL e JSF

    - by Paulo S.
    I have a xml file which I want to transform in a jsf code page. To do that I've created a xsl file. xml: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1'?> <questionario xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance' xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation='Schema2.xsd'> <componente nome='input'> <id>input1</id> </componente> <componente nome='input'> <id>input2</id> </componente> </questionario> code: <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core_rt" prefix="c" %> <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/xml" prefix="x" %> <c:set var="xml" value="${questionarioXSLBean.xml}"/> <c:set var="xsl"> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="2.0" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" exclude-result-prefixes="f h"> <xsl:template match="/"> <xsl:for-each select="questionario/componente"> <xsl:if test="attribute::nome = 'input'"> <xsl:variable name="id"> <xsl:value-of select="id" /> </xsl:variable> <h:inputText id="{$id}"/> </xsl:if> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> </c:set> <x:transform xml="${xml}" xslt="${xsl}" /> The problem is that nothing is shown in my screen because the generated code for <h:inputText id="input1"/> is <h:inputText id="input_1" xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"/> how can I replace the xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html" or suppress it. Thanks! Update: Let me clarify what I want to do. I want to generate a jsf page dynamically depending on the attributes of a xml file, for instance, 2 input texts, 3 check boxes, etc. To make the transformation to jsf I thought in two approaches, one using jstl and another using xslt. The problem with the former is that I couldn't integrate jstl with jsf code (to set jsf components attributes using jstl variables) and with the last approach, I'm facing the problem described above.I wouldn't like to create components in java (UIComponents). Any suggestions?

  • Can I find out the return value before returning while debugging in Visual Studio

    - by doekman
    Take the following function: DataTable go() { return someTableAdapter.getSomeData(); } When I set a breakpoint in this function, is there a possibility to inspect the returned value? The "go" function is directly coupled to a datagrid in an aspx page. The only way to inspect the returned datatable, is to use a temporary variable... However, that's a bit inconvenient. Isn't there another way?

  • Javascript new object (function ) vs inline invocation

    - by Sheldon Ross
    Is there any considerations to determine which is better practice for creating an object with private members? var object = new function () { var private = "private variable"; return { method : function () { ..dosomething with private; } } } VS var object = function () { ... }(); Basically what is the difference between using NEW here, and just invoking the function immediately after we define it?

  • os.environ() giving errors while setting for Hudson

    - by Arnab Sen Gupta
    I want a small python script to set the HUDSON_HOME environment variable. When using the shell, I can easily do this using set HUDSON_HOME=http://localhost:8080 But how can I do the same directly through python?? I don't want to do it by passing the command line to os.system().. can os.environ() be of any help?? I had in my script: import os os.environ('HUDSON_HOME')='http://localhost:8080' but it's probably setting it for the subprocss and not the parent shell..any way around this??

  • How does volatile actually work?

    - by FredOverflow
    Marking a variable as volatile in Java ensures that every thread sees the value that was last written to it instead of some stale value. I was wondering how this is actually achieved. Does the JVM emit special instructions that flush the CPU cashes or something?

  • Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command not working

    - by mwright
    I'm attempting to use the Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R command within Visual Studio 2008 to rename a variable. I get an error message at the bottom saying that "The key combination (Ctrl+R, Ctrl+R) is bound to command (&Rename...) which is not currently available." I am not running it or anything I can think of which might prohibit modifications of the file and the F2 command allows a rename to happen. Anyone know how to fix this?
