• Lost my commit in GIT. Can you accidentally delete commits?

  I'm using git gui and I can't see my branch. I know I checked something in today. I changed to an earlier branch after I did my commit and verified it with the branch viewer. I made changes to the earlier branch and then wanted to go back to my current branch, but I can't see it any more. Any help would be great.

  When editing cells in jqGrid, specifically using a select pull-down to edit a cell, how does one make the current selection the current choice for that cell? In my page I have a cell where edittype:'select' is set but when one clicks on that row the value for that cells automatically changes to the first entry that my AJAX call returns. Is there something within JQGrid that needs to be set or does the object I send to jqGrid have to be of a certain format to do so?

I've implemented a slider, but I have a link which lives outside of the slider (outsideLink) which needs to change as the slider changes.   im developing a piece of software to inset some text in a richedit of another program the code goes like this : atlfe = FindWindowEx(wtlsplitterwindow, 0, "atl:0087d7a8" , null); this is only one line: this works fine , problem is with every release of the program this number ""atl:0087d7a8" changes so i have to use spy++ to get the new one and change it in the code. the question is , is there is any way i can get that number from code? by the way im using C#, vs2010 thanks.

  As the title indicates, are there any C/C++ bytecode compilers/interpreters? I'm writing an application in an interpreted language that depends on certain libraries that are fully cross-compilable (there are no special flags to indicate code changes during compilation for a certain platform) but are written in C and C++. Rather than shipping n-platform-specific-libs with each platform, it would be nice to ship one set of libs which are interpreted by one platform specific interpreter. Possible and/or available?

But if I commit other team members will get updated with my unfinished work. Is there a way that I can "commit for backup" without changing the revision (so other won't get updated with my changes)?   Is it possible to change the behavior of the yui text editor so that when you make markup changes (via the toolbar bar buttons), for example changing from a paragraph to say a heading or to a list, and you dont have any text selected it assumes you mean the current block that the cursor is in So to change a paragraph to a heading rather than selecting the whole line you just place the cursor somewhere in the paragraph and select heading from the styles drop down.

In the function I need to call $('show_posts_XXXXXX') - XXXXXX being the generated ID. I have stored this ID in a variable called postId.
