When should one choose Nant over MSBuild? Which one is better for what? Is Nant more suitable for home/open source projects and MSBuild for work projects?     Hello, I'm reading questions and answers around here for a few days. I have seen the c++ faq lite at Parashift has been mentioned many times. Personally I have always considered it to be a good reference, not my favourite one but certainly useful. Here I have seen somebody advising it, but many others commenting against it instead. Somebody mentioned it's full of mistakes. Could you please point out which are the major errors in there, if any?

    I'm curious if anyone has seen an Open Source radio automation package (I found one in Russian on CodePlex) built on .NET In addition if I wanted to build something like this in a client server environment is WCF and WPF the best way to do it? I'd very much like to know how this is done: how the LE routine is called. (I'm familiar with the LINKAGE SECTION and with SET ADDRESS.) Since I have no access to an IBM mainframe at the moment - meaning no access to online documentation - some code snippets could enlighten me.

    I am injecting HttpContextBase into a caching class. HttpContextBase is registered as PerWebRequest. I interact with the caching class on each web request and this works fine, but I also need to initialise the cache at application start.   • How can you Merge sort a .Net framework LinkedList (of T)

    There's a few questions discussing Merge sorting a LinkedList, but how can I do it with the C# LinkedList? Since the LinkedListNode Next and Previous properties are read-only most of the in-place algorithms I've come across are not possible. I've resorted to removing all the nodes, sorting them with a .OrderBy(node = node.Value) and then re-inserting them into the Linked list, but it's fairly crude.

Is there any component or library available to do that? If not, what is the best approach of code to build that DB2XML conversor?   • How do you preserve the viewstate while using strongly typed views in asp MVC 2?

    I have an ActionResult returning from a strongly typed view where I manually validate some conditions, pass in an error message, but would like to preserve the users responses. Since my View is strongly typed, I am calling it like this: return View("PrincipalInvestigatorForm", new SmartFormViewModel(sections, questions)); My problem though, is that the error message is displayed but all the users data is wiped. How do I preserve the "ViewState" in MVC? Is there an easy way?
