  • Dynamic Control loading at wrong time?

    - by Telos
This one is a little... odd. Basically I have a form I'm building using ASP.NET Dynamic Data, which is going to utilize several custom field templates. I've just added another field to the FormView, with it's own custom template, and the form is loading that control twice for no apparent reason. Worse yet, the first time it loads the template, the Row is not ready yet and I get the error message: {"Databinding methods such as Eval(), XPath(), and Bind() can only be used in the context of a databound control."} I'm accessing the Row variable in a LinqDataSource OnSelected event in order to get the child object... Now for the wierd part: If I reorder the fields a little, the one causing the problem no longer gets loaded twice. Any thoughts? EDIT: I've noticed that Page_Load gets called on the first load (when Row throws an exception if you try to use it) but does NOT get called the second time around. If that helps any... Right now managing it by just catching and ignoring the exception, but still a little worried that things will break if I don't find the real cause. EDIT 2: I've traced the problem to using FindControl recursively to find other controls on the page. Apparently FindControl can cause the page lifecycle events (at least up to page_load) to fire... and this occurs before that page "should" be loading so it's dynamic data "stuff" isn't ready yet.

  • JAAS + authentification from database

    - by AhmedDrira
i am traying to performe an authentification from data base using JAAS i v configured the login-config.xml like this <application-policy name="e-procurment_domaine"> <authentication> <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.DatabaseServerLoginModule" flag="required"> <module-option name = "dsJndiName">BasepfeDS</module-option> <module-option name="securityDomain">java:/jaas/e-procurment_domaine</module-option> <module-option name="principalsQuery">SELECT pass FROM personne WHERE login=?</module-option> <module-option name="rolesQuery">SELECT disc FROM personne WHERE login=?</module-option> </login-module> </authentication> </application-policy> and I've written a test : this one @Test public void testFindALL() { System.out.println("Debut test de la méthode findALL"); // WebAuthentication wa=new WebAuthentication(); // wa.login("zahrat", "zahrat"); securityClient.setSimple("zahrat", "zahrat"); try { securityClient.login(); } catch (LoginException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } Acheteur acheteur = new Acheteur(); System.out.println("" + acheteurRemote.findAll().size()); // } catch (EJBAccessException ex) { // System.out.println("Erreur attendue de type EJBAccessException: " // + ex.getMessage()); // } catch (Exception ex) { // ex.printStackTrace(); // fail("Exception pendant le test find ALL"); System.out.println("Fin test find ALL");} // } the test is fail i dont know why , but when i change the polycy with the methode of .property file it works .. i am using the annotation on the session BEAN classes @SecurityDomain("e-procurment_domaine") @DeclareRoles({"acheteur","vendeur","physique"}) @RolesAllowed({"acheteur","vendeur","physique"}) and the annotation on the session for the methode @RolesAllowed("physique") @Override public List<Acheteur> findAll() { log.debug("fetching all Acheteur"); return daoGenerique.findWithNamedQuery("Acheteur.findAll"); } i think that the test have an acess to my data base doe's it need mysql DRIVER or a special config on JBOSS?

  • How to increase the performance of a loop which runs for every 'n' minutes.

    - by GustlyWind
Hi Giving small background to my requirement and what i had accomplished so far: There are 18 Scheduler tasks run at regular intervals (least being 30 mins) takes input of nearly 5000 eligible employees run into a static method for iteration and generates a mail content for that employee and mails. An average task takes about 9 min multiplied by 18 will be roughly 162 mins meanwhile there would be next tasks which will be in queue (I assume). So my plan is something like the below loop try { // Handle Arraylist of alerts eligible employees Iterator employee = empIDs.iterator(); while (employee.hasNext()) { ScheduledImplementation.getInstance().sendAlertInfoToEmpForGivenAlertType((Long)employee.next(), configType, schedType); } } catch (Exception vEx) { _log.error("Exception Caught During sending " + configType + " messages:" + configType, vEx); } Since I know how many employees would come to my method I will divide the while loop into two and perform simultaneous operations on two or three employees at a time. Is this possible. Or is there any other ways I can improve the performance. Some of the things I had implemented so far 1.Wherever possible made methods static and variables too Didn't bother to catch exceptions and send back because these are background tasks. (And I assume this improves performance) Get the DB values in one query instead of multiple hits. If am successful in optimizing the while loop I think i can save couple of mins. Thanks

  • How to safely transfer reference to object across window?

    - by Morgan Cheng
I'm debugging a web application. Javasript in one window create one object and use it as argument to invoke global method in another window. Pseudo code is like below. var obj = new Foo(); anotherWin.bar(obj); In anotherWin, the argument is stored in global variable. var g_obj; function bar(obj) { g_obj = obj; ... } When other function tries to reference g_obj.Id, it throws exception "Cannot evaluate expression". This happens in IE8.0.7600.16385 on Windows 7. In Visual Studio debugger, when this exception happens, the g_obj shows as {...} It looks all its properties are lost. Perhaps the root reason is the object is created in one window but only referenced in another window. The object might be garbage-collected at any time. Is there any way to work around this?

  • Python subprocess: 64 bit windows server PIPE doesn't exist :(

    - by Spaceman1861
I have a GUI that launches selected python scripts and runs it in cmd next to the gui window. I am able to get my launcher to work on my (windows xp 32 bit) laptop but when I upload it to the server(64bit windows iss7) I am running into some issues. The script runs, to my knowledge but spits back no information into the cmd window. My script is a bit of a Frankenstein that I have hacked and slashed together to get it to work I am fairly certain that this is a very bad example of the subprocess module. Just wondering if i could get a hand :). My question is how do i have to alter my code to work on a 64bit windows server. :) from Tkinter import * import pickle, subprocess, errno, time, sys,os PIPE = subprocess.PIPE if subprocess.mswindows: from win32file import ReadFile, WriteFile from win32pipe import PeekNamedPipe import msvcrt else: import select import fcntl def recv_some(p, t=.1, e=1, tr=5, stderr=0): if tr < 1: tr = 1 x = time.time()+t y = [] r = '' pr = p.recv if stderr: pr = p.recv_err while time.time() < x or r: r = pr() if r is None: if e: raise Exception(message) else: break elif r: y.append(r) else: time.sleep(max((x-time.time())/tr, 0)) return ''.join(y) def send_all(p, data): while len(data): sent = p.send(data) if sent is None: raise Exception(message) data = buffer(data, sent) The code above isn't mine def Run(): print filebox.get(0) location = filebox.get(0) location = location.__str__().replace(listbox.get(ANCHOR).__str__(),"") theTime = time.asctime(time.localtime(time.time())) lastbox.delete(0, END) lastbox.insert(END,theTime) for line in CookieCont: if listbox.get(ANCHOR) in line and len(line) > 4: line[4] = theTime else: "Fill In the rip Details to record the time" if __name__ == '__main__': if sys.platform == 'win32' or sys.platform == 'win64': shell, commands, tail = ('cmd', ('cd "'+location+'"',listbox.get(ANCHOR).__str__()), '\r\n') else: return "Please use contact admin" a = Popen(shell, stdin=PIPE, stdout=PIPE) print recv_some(a) for cmd in commands: send_all(a, cmd + tail) print recv_some(a) send_all(a, 'exit' + tail) print recv_some(a, e=0) The Code above is mine :)

  • Why am I having this InstantiationException in Java when accessing final local variables?

    - by Oscar Reyes
I was playing with some code to make a "closure like" construct ( not working btw ) Everything looked fine but when I tried to access a final local variable in the code, the exception InstantiationException is thrown. If I remove the access to the local variable either by removing it altogether or by making it class attribute instead, no exception happens. The doc says: InstantiationException Thrown when an application tries to create an instance of a class using the newInstance method in class Class, but the specified class object cannot be instantiated. The instantiation can fail for a variety of reasons including but not limited to: - the class object represents an abstract class, an interface, an array class, a primitive type, or void - the class has no nullary constructor What other reason could have caused this problem? Here's the code. comment/uncomment the class attribute / local variable to see the effect (lines:5 and 10 ). import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.event.*; import java.awt.*; class InstantiationExceptionDemo { //static JTextField field = new JTextField();// works if uncommented public static void main( String [] args ) { JFrame frame = new JFrame(); JButton button = new JButton("Click"); final JTextField field = new JTextField();// fails if uncommented button.addActionListener( new _(){{ System.out.println("click " + field.getText()); }}); frame.add( field ); frame.add( button, BorderLayout.SOUTH ); frame.pack();frame.setVisible( true ); } } class _ implements ActionListener { public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent e ){ try { this.getClass().newInstance(); } catch( InstantiationException ie ){ throw new RuntimeException( ie ); } catch( IllegalAccessException ie ){ throw new RuntimeException( ie ); } } } Is this a bug in Java? edit Oh, I forgot, the stacktrace ( when thrown ) is: Caused by: java.lang.InstantiationException: InstantiationExceptionDemo$1 at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:340) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:308) at _.actionPerformed(InstantiationExceptionDemo.java:25)

  • Diagnosing IIS Shutdowns

    - by Tom Ritter
Symptoms: I attach a debugger, I wait a little while, it automatically detaches I watch the event log during normal operation - after a single request comes in, it waits a little bit, the shuts down Disagnosing. I've followed the following steps for logging shutdowns in IIS: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2005/12/14/433194.aspx http://blogs.msdn.com/tess/archive/2006/08/02/asp-net-case-study-lost-session-variables-and-appdomain-recycles.aspx I know these are working because... What I see in the Event Logs when I change the web.config: The description for Event ID 0 from source ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: _shutdownMessage=IIS configuration change HostingEnvironment initiated shutdown CONFIG change CONFIG change HostingEnvironment caused shutdown _shutdownStack= at System.Environment.GetStackTrace(Exception e, Boolean needFileInfo) at System.Environment.get_StackTrace() at System.Web.Hosting.HostingEnvironment.InitiateShutdownInternal() at System.Web.Hosting.HostingEnvironment.InitiateShutdown() at System.Web.Hosting.PipelineRuntime.StopProcessing() the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table But it doesn't help because the mysetery error doesn't tell me anything. I see the same thing as from before I added this extra logging: The description for Event ID 0 from source ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. Hi, I'm trying to get the html content of a page using silverlight. Webresponse and request classes don't work in silverlight. I did some googling and I found something. This is what i tried: public partial class MainPage : UserControl { string result; WebClient client; public MainPage() { InitializeComponent(); this.result = string.Empty; this.client = new WebClient(); this.client.DownloadStringCompleted += ClientDownloadStringCompleted; } private void btn1_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { string url = "http://www.nu.nl/feeds/rss/algemeen.rss"; this.client.DownloadStringAsync(new Uri(url, UriKind.Absolute)); if (this.result != string.Empty && this.result != null) { this.txbSummery.Text = this.result; } } private void ClientDownloadStringCompleted(object sender, DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) { this.result = e.Result; //handle the response. } } It gives me a runtime error after pressing the button: Microsoft JScript runtime error: Unhandled Error in Silverlight Application An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details. at System.ComponentModel.AsyncCompletedEventArgs.RaiseExceptionIfNecessary() at System.Net.DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs.get_Result() at JWTG.MainPage.ClientDownloadStringCompleted(Object sender, DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) at System.Net.WebClient.OnDownloadStringCompleted(DownloadStringCompletedEventArgs e) at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadStringOperationCompleted(Object arg) I've tried numerous things but all failed. What am i missing? Or does anyone know how i could achieve this in a different way? Thanks in advance!

  • Problem when copying array of different types using Arrays.copyOf

    - by Shervin
    I am trying to create a method that pretty much takes anything as a parameter, and returns a concatenated string representation of the value with some delimiter. public static String getConcatenated(char delim, Object ...names) { String[] stringArray = Arrays.copyOf(names, names.length, String[].class); //Exception here return getConcatenated(delim, stringArray); } And the actual method public static String getConcatenated(char delim, String ... names) { if(names == null || names.length == 0) return ""; StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); for(int i = 0; i < names.length; i++) { String n = names[i]; if(n != null) { sb.append(n.trim()); sb.append(delim); } } //Remove the last delim return sb.substring(0, sb.length()-1).toString(); } And I have the following JUnit test: final String two = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(' ', "Shervin", "Asgari"); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin Asgari", two); //OK final String three = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(';', "Shervin", "Asgari"); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin;Asgari", three); //OK final String four = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated(';', "Shervin", null, "Asgari", null); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "Shervin;Asgari", four); //OK final String five = RedpillLinproUtils.getConcatenated('/', 1, 2, null, 3, 4); Assert.assertEquals("Result", "1/2/3/4", five); //FAIL However, the test fails on the last part with the exception: java.lang.ArrayStoreException at java.lang.System.arraycopy(Native Method) at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2763) Can someone spot the error?

  • HttpUnhandledException ASP.NET

    - by jweber
Hi I have a ASP.NET website. If I make a request for a page it works most of the times, but sometimes I get an HttpUnhandledException. I have tried to log the errors, but from the errors messages I'm not able to solve the problem. • How do I tell if an action is a lambda expression?

    - by Keith
I am using the EventAgregator pattern to subscribe and publish events. If a user subscribes to the event using a lambda expression, they must use a strong reference, not a weak reference, otherwise the expression can be garbage collected before the publish will execute. I wanted to add a simple check in the DelegateReference so that if a programmer passes in a lambda expression and is using a weak reference, that I throw an argument exception. This is to help "police" the code. Example: eventAggregator.GetEvent<RuleScheduler.JobExecutedEvent>().Subscribe ( e => resetEvent.Set(), ThreadOption.PublisherThread, false, // filter event, only interested in the job that this object started e => e.Value1.JobDetail.Name == jobName ); public DelegateReference(Delegate @delegate, bool keepReferenceAlive) { if (@delegate == null) throw new ArgumentNullException("delegate"); if (keepReferenceAlive) { this._delegate = @delegate; } else { //TODO: throw exception if target is a lambda expression _weakReference = new WeakReference(@delegate.Target); _method = @delegate.Method; _delegateType = @delegate.GetType(); } } any ideas? I thought I could check for @delegate.Method.IsStatic but I don't believe that works... (is every lambda expression a static?)

  • Cannot run Python script on Windows with output redirected??

In this case I can redirect the output to a file. But if I run it by just typing hello.py on the command line and redirect the output, I get an exception. I remember it should work in XP. I have seen people talking about this bug python-Bugs-1012692 | Can't pipe input to a python program. But that was long time ago. And it does not mention any solution. Have anyone experienced this? Anyone can help?

Now,in my app I take the PIN code from a text field, convert it into NSNumber and try to store as an attribute value for an entity. But I am unable to do so.The exception that it shows on the console is:- Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'Unacceptable type of value for attribute: property = "PINCode"; desired type = NSNumber; given type = NSCFString; value = 121.' • ASP.Net MVC, JS injection and System.ArgumentException - Illegal Characters in path

    - by Mose
Hi, In my ASP.Net MVC application, I use custom error handling. I want to perform custom actions for each error case I meet in my application. So I override Application_Error, get the Server.GetLastError(); and do my business depending on the exception, the current user, the current URL (the application runs on many domains), the user IP, and many others. Obviousely, the application is often the target of hackers. In almost all the case it's not a problem to detect and manage it, but for some JS URL attacks, my error handling does not perform what I want it to do. Ex (from logs) : http://localhost:1809/Scripts/]||!o.support.htmlSerialize&&[1 When I got such an URL, an exception is raised when accessing the ConnectionStrings section in the web.config, and I can't even redirect to another URL. It leads to a "System.ArgumentException - Illegal Characters in path, etc." The screenshot below shows the problem : http://screencast.com/t/Y2I1YWU4 An obvious solution is to write a HTTP module to filter the urls before they reach my application, but I'd like to avoid it because : I like having the whole security being managed in one place (in the Application_Error() method) In the module I cannot access the whole data I have in the application itself (application specific data I don't want to debate here) Questions : Did you meet this problem ? How did you manage it ? Thanks for you suggestions, Mose

  • Java Process.waitFor() and IO streams

I have the following code; String[] cmd = { "bash", "-c", "~/path/to/script.sh" }; Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd); PipeThread a = new PipeThread(p.getInputStream(), System.out); PipeThread b = new PipeThread(p.getErrorStream(), System.err); p.waitFor(); a.die(); b.die(); The PipeThread class is quite simple so I will include it in full; public class PipeThread implements Runnable { private BufferedInputStream in; private BufferedOutputStream out; public Thread thread; private boolean die = false; public PipeThread(InputStream i, OutputStream o) { in = new BufferedInputStream(i); out = new BufferedOutputStream(o); thread = new Thread(this); thread.start(); } public void die() { die = true; } public void run() { try { byte[] b = new byte[1024]; while(!die) { int x = in.read(b, 0, 1024); if(x > 0) out.write(b, 0, x); else die(); out.flush(); } } catch(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } try { in.close(); out.close(); } catch(Exception e) { } } } My problem is this; p.waitFor() blocks endlessly, even after the subprocess has terminated. If I do not create the pair of PipeThread instances, then p.waitFor() works perfectly. What is it about the piping of io streams that is causing p.waitFor() to continue blocking? I'm confused as I thought the IO streams would be passive, unable to keep a process alive, or to make Java think the process is still alive.

  • How do you manually set a RadioGroup value in wicket?

    - by Kane
I'm trying to change the selected radio button in a Wicket RadioGroup during an AjaxEventBehavior but can't figure out how to do so. Specifically when a user types some text in a textbox I want to change the selected radio button to one I specify. How do you do this? Here's what I have so far (it crashes on addComponent): myRadioGroup = new RadioGroup("MyNewGroup", new PropertyModel(getPojo(), "selectedGroup")); Radio internalRadio = new Radio("InternalDirectoryNumber", new Model("Internal")); myRadioGroup .add(internalRadio); Radio externalRadio = new Radio("OtherMobileNumber", new Model("External")); myRadioGroup .add(externalRadio); TextField myTxtField= new TextField("TextBoxPrivateNumber", new PropertyModel(getVoiceItem(), "privateMobilePhone")); myTxtField.add( new AjaxEventBehavior( "onKeyUp" ) { @Override protected void onEvent(AjaxRequestTarget target) { Component component = target.getPage().get("myForm:MyNewGroup").setDefaultModelObject("External"); target.addComponent(component); //this causes an exception } }); myRadioGroup .add(myTxtField); Here is the exception that's thrown. java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: cannot update component that does not have setOutputMarkupId property set to true. Component: [MarkupContainer [Component id = myRadioGroup]] What's the proper way to do this? I'm not finding a whole lot of wicket documentation for this online.

  • Change classloader

    - by Chris
I'm trying to switch the class loader at runtime: public class Test { public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { final InjectingClassLoader classLoader = new InjectingClassLoader(); Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(classLoader); Thread thread = new Thread("test") { public void run() { System.out.println("running..."); // approach 1 ClassLoader cl = TestProxy.class.getClassLoader(); try { Class c = classLoader.loadClass("classloader.TestProxy"); Object o = c.newInstance(); c.getMethod("test", new Class[] {}).invoke(o); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } // approach 2 new TestProxy().test(); }; }; thread.setContextClassLoader(classLoader); thread.start(); } } and: public class TestProxy { public void test() { ClassLoader tcl = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader(); ClassLoader ccl = ClassToLoad.class.getClassLoader(); ClassToLoad classToLoad = new ClassToLoad(); } } (it is not relevant what the InjectingClassLoader is) I'd like to make the result of "approach 1" and "approach 2" exactly same, but it looks like thread.setContextClassLoader(classLoader) does nothing and the "approach 2" always uses the system classloader (can be determined by comparing tcl and ccl variables while debugging). Is it possible to make all classes loaded by new thread use given classloader?

  • linq: SQL performance on high loaded web applications

    - by Alex
I started working with linq to SQL several weeks ago. I got really tired of working with SQL server directly through the SQL queries (sqldatareader, sqlcommand and all this good stuff).  After hearing about linq to SQL and mvc I quickly moved all my projects to these technologies. I expected linq to SQL work slower but it suprisongly turned out to be pretty fast, primarily because I always forgot to close my connections when using datareaders. Now I don't have to worry about it. But there's one problem that really bothers me. There's one page that's requested thousands of times a day. The system gets data in the beginning, works with it and updates it. Primarily the updates are ++ @ -- (increase and decrease values). I used to do it like this UPDATE table SET value=value+1 WHERE ID=@I'd It worked with no problems obviously. But with linq to SQL the data is taken in the beginning, moved to the class, changed and then saved. Stats.registeredusers++; Db.submitchanges(); Let's say there were 100 000 users. Linq will say "let it be 100 001" instead of "let it be increased by 1". But if there value of users has already been increased (that happens in my site all the time) then linq will be like oops, this value is already 100 001. Whatever I'll throw an exception" You can change this behavior so that it won't throw an exception but it still will not set the value to 100 002. Like I said, it happened with me all the time. The stas value was increased twice a second on average. I simply had to rewrite this chunk of code with classic ado net. So my question is how can you solve the problem with linq

  • Excel process not ending in Cluster environment

    When we try to close excel object, it fails to close to cluster environment. The same is working fine in QA and UAT environment. public bool KillExcelProcess() { try { object misValue = System.Reflection.Missing.Value; wbObj.Save(); wbObj.Close(true, misValue, misValue); appC.Workbooks.Close(); appC.Quit(); System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(objSheet); System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(wbObj); System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(appC); wbObj = null; appC = null; } catch (Exception ex) { //throw ex; } finally { System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000); GC.Collect(); } return true; Calling function #endregion try { log.Info("CloseExcelService (MeasureSavingsComputeBO) Starts ..."); exConverter.KillExcelProcess(); while (true) { try { File.Delete(strFilename); break; } catch (Exception ex) { } }

  • Opening port 80 with Java application on Ubuntu

    - by Featheast
What I need to do is running a Java application which is a RESTful service server side writtern by Restlet. And this service will be called by another app running on Google App Engine. Because of the restriction of GAE, every http call is limited to port 80 and 443 (http and https) with HttpUrlConnection class. As a result, I have to deploy my server side application on port 80 or 443. However, because the app is running on Ubuntu, and those ports under 1024 cannot be accessed by non-root user, then a Access Denied exception will be thrown when I run my app. The solutions that have come into my mind includs: Changing the security policy of JRE, which is the files resides in /lib/security/java.policy, to grantjava.net.SocketPermission "*.80" "listen, connect, accept, resolve" permission? However, neither using command line to include this file or overrides the content in JRE's java.policy file, the same exception keeps coming out. try to login as a root user, however because my unfamiliarity with Unix, I don't know how to do it. another solution I haven't try is to map all calls to 80 to a higher port like 1234, then I can deploy my app on 1234 without problem, and GAE call send request to port 80. But how to connect the missing gap is still a problem. Currently I am using a "hacking" method, which is to package the application into a jar file, and sudo running the jar file with root privilege. It works now, but definitely not appropriate in the real deployment environment. So if anyone have any idea about the solution, thanks very much!
