  • Matching 'weird' characters in PHP regex

    I have some strings that need a-strippin': ÃœT: 9.996636,76.294363 Tons of long strings of location codes. A literal regex in PHP won't match them, IE $pattern = /ÃœT:/; echo preg_replace($pattern, "", $row['location']); Won't match/strip anything. (To know it's working, /T:/ does strip the last bit of that string). What's the encoding error doing on here? Alternately, I would accept a concise way to take out just the numbers.

    I have a Listbox that allows user to select multiple items. Normally user can do that by holding CTRL key and clicking the item he or she wants to select. Is it possible to configure this listbox so that the user will not have to hold the CTRL key when selecting items ? So that he or she will just click the item (without holding anything) and the item will be selected(diselected if it was selected previously) ? Thank you

Would the code look something like this?: $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: { title: 'oembed.title', thumbnail_url: 'oembed.thumbnail_url'} }); Is there anything I'm missing? Assume that oembed.title and oembed.thubnail_url hold the values I want to save, and that title and thumbnail are the database columns.

    Hi all, I am building this iphone app for a client and they have a large set of flash video files that they need to play/stream to the iphone. I understand that the iphone doesnt natively support flv playback but isnt there anything I can do to get around this problem?     I'm debugging a batch file left behind by an old employee and I've come across the line: @nmake -f makefile /E 2>&1 | tee %LOGFILEPATH% What does this do? I know what @nmake -f makefile /E does and I know what tee %LOGFILEPATH% does, but I can't find anything on what the 2>&1 | means. Thanks

    Hi, I would like to check a opened .txt file for braces that open and close like below: file { nextopen { //content } } no this is not my own language or anything, but I want to get say the nextopen function and all the contents inside the brackets, and all the stuff from inside the file function and add it to an array if you know what i mean. so all the content inside the braces will be in an array. if you know how to do this please reply.
