  • Problem with NSMutableArray?

    Hi, i initialize instance variables in .h file, NSInteger saveValue0, saveValue1, saveValue2, saveValue3; NSMutableArray *nodeArray; Now in .m file, in viewWillAppear event, saveValue0 = 0; saveValue1 = 2; saveValue2 = 3; saveValue3 = 0; nodeArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithObjects:saveValue0, saveValue1, saveValue2, saveValue3, nil]; But above variable does not inserted in the array. When i trying to see the objects in array using break point, it gives me 0 objects present in nodeArray. Why it will give me 0 objects. Any reason behind that?

  • [iphone] use NSString in other method?!

    It's really embarrassing but i stuck on it for two hours of trial and error. I declared an NSString in the interface as: NSString *testString; Then i made a property and synthesized it. I allocate it in viewDidLoad with: testString = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"thats my value: %i", row]; If i want to get the value of the string in another method it always return (null). So the string is empty, but why? how do i make it accessible for every function inside of one class? So i don't want to make a global var just a "global variable inside the class" It's really confusing because as long as i code i never ran into this problem :( thanks a lot for helping me!

  • Having a problem with simple bool

    Hi guys, I've some really simple code that checks if my bool is == YES but it does not ever enter. NSLog(@"boool %d",self.arrayAlreadyPopulated ); if (self.arrayAlreadyPopulated == YES) { Match *aMatch = [appDelegate.matchScoresArray objectAtIndex:(numMatchCounter)]; aMatch.teamName1 = TeamNameHolder; } else { Match *aMatch = [[Match alloc] init]; aMatch.teamName1 = TeamNameHolder; [appDelegate.matchScoresArray addObject:aMatch]; [aMatch release]; } The debug at the top says that the value of self.arrayAlreadyPopulated is 1 on the 2nd pass as it should be. But it never enters the first first part but jumps down to the 'else' I cant see for the life of me what the problem is. -.- Anybody able to clue me in?     Hello, I have a newbie question about the following: - (NSString *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView titleForHeaderInSection:(NSInteger)section { NSArray *anArray; anArray = [dictionary objectForKey: [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", section]]; //here dictionary is of type NSDictionary, initialized in another place. AnObject *obj = [[AnObject alloc] init]; obj = [anArray objectAtIndex:0]; [anArray release]; return obj.title; } If I run it as it is I will get an error. If I don't put [anArray release] it works just fine. I don't quite understand why is this happening? Thanks.

UIImageView *img=[[UIImageView alloc]init]; img.frame=fr; img.image=[UIImage imageWithData:[NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:countimg]]]; [cell.contentView addSubview:img]; Here countimg is NSMutableArray. countimg contains url of all images to load. But its not working, because its not a string variable. I don't know how to change NSMutuableArray to String. Anyone help me.

  • Ojective C Class or struct?

    I have a class Song with properties Title, Key, Artist, etc. There are no methods. I loop through a database of song information and create a Song object for each, populating the properties, and then store the Song objects in an NSArray. Then I thought, why not just have a struct Song with all those same properties instead of a class Song. Doing so would eliminate the class files, the #import Song line in the using class's .m file, and the need to alloc, init, release. On the other hand, I'd have to put the struct definition in every class that might need it. (Unless there's some globally accessible location -- is there?) Also, can a struct be stored in an NSArray?
