CakePHP sending multiple lines of same cookie information in response header. why??

Hi all, I am having this problem with one of my cakePHP applications. My application displays a big html table on the page. I noticed that when the table goes beyond a certain size limit, IE cannot display that page. While trying to figure out why this happens, I noticed that my html response header contains a HUGE number of lines repeating the same thing. Button layed out using layout_toLeftOf in a RelativeLayout does not show up

Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

I have been doing some reading lately one article I read was from Opera. http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/javascript-best-practices/ In that article they write this: Another common situation in JavaScript is providing a preset value for a variable if it is not defined, like so: if(v){ var x = v; } else { var x = 10; } The shortcut notation for this is the double pipe character: var x = v || 10; For some reason I cant get this to work for me. How to calculate line count for project

I am taking a software engineering class right now. Our assignment is to evaluate Mozilla's Thunderbird. Our assignment is to evaluate the size of Thunderbird. One metric that we need to use is the number of lines of code in the project. (Lines of code meaning not including comments or new lines). Is there a standard way to find the number of lines or am I better off just cracking out a script to do this? I think that I could do something like this: # remove all comments find -name *.java | \ sed "/\/*/,\*\// s/.*//g | \ # remove multiline comments sed s/\/\///g # remove single line comments # count not empty lines find -name *.java | grep -c "<character>" But I would need to do that for each file type. It seems like there should be some utility that does that already. (something mac/unix compatible would be preferable).

I have a simple powershell script that just replace text but I found that the regex replace turn my multiline data source into a single line text when the output is produced. I want the line breaks to be preserved. Here is the dumb down version of the script. $source=(Get-Content textfile.txt) $process1 = [regex]::Replace($source, "line", "line2") $process1 | out-file -encoding ascii textfile2.txt You can create a test file call textfile.txt with simple lines like this to test it line line Some line More line here Have I missed something obvious? threaded serial port IOException when writing

Hi, I'm trying to write a small application that simply reads data from a socket, extracts some information (two integers) from the data and sends the extracted information off on a serial port. The idea is that it should start and just keep going. In short, it works, but not for long. After a consistently short period I start to receive IOExceptions and socket receive buffer is swamped. The thread framework has been taken from the MSDN serial port example. The delay in send(), readThread.Join(), is an effort to delay read() in order to allow serial port interrupt processing a chance to occur, but I think I've misinterpreted the join function. I either need to sync the processes more effectively or throw some data away as it comes in off the socket, which would be fine. System.Uri can't parse when password field contains a "#"

The following code throws System.UriFormatException: var uri = new UriBuilder("ftp://user:pass#[email protected]:21/fu/bar.zip"); System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: A port was expected because of there is a colon (':') present but the port could not be parsed. Removing the # symbol from the password field solves the issue. Is a # symbol a valid character to have in the password field? Is there a way to escape this? Is this a known bug in the parsing routine of the Uri class? How does one get around this - assuming you can't change the password? ;-) Thanks, Andrew

Hi, I'm a bit confused about a strange behavior of my JPA's related objects. I have three bundle : The User bundle does contain some user-related objects, but mainly the User object. The Energy bundle does contain some energy-related objects, and particularly a ConsumptionTerminal which contains a List of User. The Index bundle does contain an Index object that has no dependency at all. My OSGi environment is the following : A DataSource bundle that provide 2 services : dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. The three bundles. They consume dataSource and jpaVendorAdapter. There is no problem at all with the Index bundle. The bug is dataSource independent (I tried with PostgreSQL and MySQL so far). My first conclusion was that the <class>net.nextep.amundsen.security.domain.User</class> in both persistence unit was causing the trouble. I tried without it (and hiding the User dependent object in the Energy bundle) but it failed too. I'm a bit confused about that bug. I'm also not quite sure about the transaction management in this context. I wasn't the one who designed this architecture (but I tell my intern OK without testing it.. shame on me) but if I could understand this bug and maybe fix it without rewrite the bundle (and break my intern work), I would appreciate. Am I doing something wrong ? (it's obvious, but what..) Did I miss something while reading documentation ? By the way, I'm also looking for some best practices or advices when it comes to JPA, EclipseLink (or whatever JPA Provider) and Spring DM (and OSGi in general). Eclipse complains android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings - includes code.

Having a problem in Eclipse with regards to an XML file. Eclipse complains that android:scrollbars and android:fadingEdge do not allow Strings. I checked the Android developer site and they do in fact accept strings in the xml file. A related question posed had the problem where there was a missing :android after xmlns. As you can see from the code the line beginning with xmlns is correct I believe. I created a App.config file in my WPF application: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <appsettings> <add key="xmlDataDirectory" value="c:\testdata"/> </appsettings> </configuration> Then I try to read the value out with this: string xmlDataDirectory = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings.Get("xmlDataDirectory"); But it says this is obsolete and that I should use ConfigurationManager which I can't find, even searching in the class view. Does anyone know how to use config files like this in WPF?

Any alternative to Sybase Sql Advantage?

Sybase Sql Advantage is the default editor for the Sybase database. But it has lots of shortcomings, because it basically is what Notepad is for Windows users: Can't do multiple undo's Monochrome, text is black and background is white Can't see what character did you exactly paste from clipboard, and sometimes this lead to weirdness behaviour Don't see what line or column you are in the moment Lack of funcionality like exports to different formats, integration with source control, plugins, etc. I have to deal with this editor in my daily work, so I was wondering if there are any other tool. Do you know any replacement?

Flex actionscript extending DateChooser, events in calendar

ExtendedDateChooser class is great solution for simple event calendar used in my flex project. Problem in that calendar is text events are missing when month is changed. Is there updateCompleted event in Actionscript just like in dateChooser flex component? Like in: <mx:DateChooser id="dc" updateCompleted="goThroughDateChooserCalendarLayoutAndSetEventsInCalendarAgain()"</mx> When scroll event is added, which is available in Actionscript, it gets dispatched but after updateDisplayList() is fired, so didn't manage to answer, why are calendar events erased? mootools errors in Joomla...

Hi.. I'm having a problem.. the site is working correctly in safari, chrome and firefox (mac and win) but in Internet explorer I get an error related with mootools: Line: 59 Character: 102. The site URL is: http://my-essencia.com I've noticed that mootools is being loaded two times, maybe another component is calling it again, how can I remove this call?? or how can I locate witch component is making this call?? Another thing is the gmaps doesn't work (only in IE)(it worked before) This map is generated by a component named iproperty, I've asked in the support forums but no responses. This is very frustrating because I didn't make the site and I don't know what was installed wrong. Any advice or directions will be very appreciated. Thank you guys, Luis.
