  • Python script, runs well, but not perfectly, debugging help.

    - by S1syphus
    What it does (sort of)... or is meant to, the script reads from a csv file that contains information on sound files and create a play list exactly 60 minutes long. An example csv, contains: their title, duration (in seconds), minium total time to be played (in minutes) An example is: Soundfoo,120,10 Soundbar,30,6 Sounddev,60,20 Soundrandom,15,8 The script works out the minimum instances of plays, take 'Soundfoo' for example, the length of each sample is 120 seconds and the minimum time to be played is 10 minutes, so basic maths 10*60/120 gives the number of instances the song is to be played, in this case 5. It is meant to take minimum number of instances and spread out equally from each other; so there will never be a period where for example Soundbar is played twice in a row. Then if the minium instances of each song has been used, and there is still time with in the 60 min, how is it possible to tell it to go back and fill the time by selecting each sound and including it till the 60 min is filled while remaining sparsely populated. Heres the issue(s)! The script fails to calculate the actual time require to play all the sounds in a file and the total time of the playlist, the thing is tho it doesn't get it wrong all the time maybe 3/5 times, even if I run it on the same csv file it will give me different answers. Here is the file I shall run the script on e for sake of ease to see the issue: Sound1,60,10 Sound2,60,10 Sound3,60,10 Sound4,60,10 Sound5,60,10 Sound6,60,10 I'll do it three times and post the results: 1 Required playtime in minutes: 60 Actual time in minutes to play all required ads: 62 Total playtime in minutes: 62.0 2 Required playtime in minutes: 60 Actual time in minutes to play all required ads: 71 Total playtime in minutes: 71.0 3 Required playtime in minutes: 60 Actual time in minutes to play all required ads: 60 Total playtime in minutes: 60.0 Relevant Code: pastebin.com/demkBXk6 And finally... in context: http://pastebin.com/demkBXk6 If you made it down to here, thanks for staying and reading, kudos.

  • Disassembling with python - no easy solution?

    - by Abc4599
    Hi, I'm trying to create a python script that will disassemble a binary (a Windows exe to be precise) and analyze its code. I need the ability to take a certain buffer, and extract some sort of struct containing information about the instructions in it. I've worked with libdisasm in C before, and I found it's interface quite intuitive and comfortable. The problem is, its Python interface is available only through SWIG, and I can't get it to compile properly under Windows. At the availability aspect, diStorm provides a nice out-of-the-box interface, but it provides only the Mnemonic of each instruction, and not a binary struct with enumerations defining instruction type and what not. This is quite uncomfortable for my purpose, and will require a lot of what I see as spent time wrapping the interface to make it fit my needs. I've also looked at BeaEngine, which does in fact provide the output I need, a struct with binary info concerning each instruction, but its interface is really odd and counter-intuitive, and it crashes pretty much instantly when provided with wrong arguments. The CTypes sort of ultimate-death-to-your-python crashes. So, I'd be happy to hear about other solutions, which are a little less time consuming than messing around with djgcc or mingw to make SWIGed libdisasm, or writing an OOP wrapper for diStorm. If anyone has some guidance as to how to compile SWIGed libdisasm, or better yet, a compiled binary (pyd or dll+py), I'd love to hear/have it. :) Thanks ahead.

  • Setting database-agnostic default column timestamp using Hibernate

    - by unsquared
    I'm working on a java project full of Hibernate (3.3.1) mapping files that have the following sort of declaration for most domain objects. <property name="dateCreated" generated="insert"> <column name="date_created" default="getdate()" /> </property> The problem here is that getdate() is an MSSQL specific function, and when I'm using something like H2 to test subsections of the project, H2 screams that getdate() isn't a recognized function. It's own timestamping function is current_timestamp(). I'd like to be able to keep working with H2 for testing, and wanted to know whether there was a way of telling Hibernate "use this database's own mechanism for retrieving the current timestamp". With H2, I've come up with the following solution. CREATE ALIAS getdate AS $$ java.util.Date now() { return new java.util.Date(); } $$; CALL getdate(); It works, but is obviously H2 specific. I've tried extending H2Dialect and registering the function getdate(), but that doesn't seem to be invoked when Hibernate is creating tables. Is it possible to abstract the idea of a default timestamp away from the specific database engine?

  • Tell LINQ Distinct which item to return

    - by Jon
    I understand how to do a Distinct() on a IEnumerable and that I have to create an IEqualityComparer for more advanced stuff however is there a way in which you can tell which duplicated item to return? For example say you have a List<T> List<MyClass> test = new List<MyClass>(); test.Add(new MyClass {ID = 1, InnerID = 4}); test.Add(new MyClass {ID = 2, InnerID = 4}); test.Add(new MyClass {ID = 3, InnerID = 14}); test.Add(new MyClass {ID = 4, InnerID = 14}); You then do: var distinctItems = test.Distinct(new DistinctItemComparer()); class DistinctItemComparer : IEqualityComparer<MyClass> { public bool Equals(MyClass x, MyClass y) { return x.InnerID == y.InnerID;; } public int GetHashCode(MyClassobj) { return obj.InnerID.GetHasCode(); } } This code will return the classes with ID 1 and 3. Is there a way to return the ID matches 2 & 4.

  • iReport / jFreeChart - Combining getItemPaint() override and series colors

    - by barneskd
    I'm attempting to create a bar chart that needs to use specific series colors for N number of categories and a separate color for 1 other category. Here is an example: http://i.imgur.com/1DeCF.png (Sorry, I don't have enough points to embed images yet) In the mockup, Categories 1-3 use a collection of 5 colors to render their series while Category 4 uses a single grey color. My first approach was to override the getItemPaint() method using a customizer class, but I can only figure out how to define a color on the category level, not the series level. Is it possible to define colors on category and/or series levels? Something like, If category != "Category4" Use colors A, B, C, D, and E in category's series Else Use color F in category's series Another thought I had was to combine iReport's Series Colors bar chart property and the getItemPaint() override; that way I could define the 5 colors to use in iReport and use the getItemPaint() override only in the case where the category equals "Category 4". So far I've had no luck combining the two; if the override is defined it overrides iReport's Series Color property.

  • CURL - Problem with Authentication

    - by danit
    I need to add authentication to this function: function multiRequest($data, $options = array()) { // array of curl handles $curly = array(); // data to be returned $result = array(); // multi handle $mh = curl_multi_init(); // loop through $data and create curl handles // then add them to the multi-handle foreach ($data as $id => $d) { $curly[$id] = curl_init(); $url = (is_array($d) && !empty($d['url'])) ? $d['url'] : $d; curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_HEADER, 0); curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); // post? if (is_array($d)) { if (!empty($d['post'])) { curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $d['post']); } } // extra options? if (!empty($options)) { curl_setopt_array($curly[$id], $options); } curl_multi_add_handle($mh, $curly[$id]); } // execute the handles $running = null; do { curl_multi_exec($mh, $running); } while($running > 0); // get content and remove handles foreach($curly as $id => $c) { $result[$id] = curl_multi_getcontent($c); curl_multi_remove_handle($mh, $c); } // all done curl_multi_close($mh); return $result; } I'm looking to add authentication to this function, something along these lines? curl_setopt($curly[$id], CURLOPT_USERPWD, "$username:$password"); Anyone help?

  • linq-to-sql combine child expressions

    - by VictorS
    I need to create and combine several expressions for child entity into one to use it on "Any" operator of a parent. Code now looks like this: Expresion<Child, bool> startDateExpression = t => t.start_date >= startDate; Expression<Child, bool> endDateExpression = t => t.end_date <= endDate; .... ParameterExpression param = startDateExpression.Parameters[0]; Expression<Func<T, bool>> Combined = Expression.Lambda<Func<Child, bool>>( Expression.AndAlso(startDateExpression.Body, startDateExpression.Body), param); //but now I am trying to use combined expression on parent //this line fails just to give an idea on what I am trying to do: //filter type is IQueryable<Parent>; var filter = filter.Where(p =>p.Children.Any(Combined)); How can I do that? Is there better(more elegant way way of doing it?

  • Parsing files "/etc/default" using java

    - by rmarimon
    I'm trying to parse the configuration files usually found in /etc/default using java and regular expressions. So far this is the code I have iterating over every line on each file: // remove comments from the line int hash = line.indexOf("#"); if (hash >= 0) { line = line.substring(0, hash); } // create the patterns Pattern doubleQuotePattern = Pattern.compile("\\s*([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z_0-9]*)\\s*=\\s*\"(.*)\"\\s*"); Pattern singleQuotePattern = Pattern.compile("\\s*([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z_0-9]*)\\s*=\\s*\\'(.*)\\'\\s*"); Pattern noQuotePattern = Pattern.compile("\\s*([a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z_0-9]*)\\s*=(.*)"); // try to match each of the patterns to the line Matcher matcher = doubleQuotePattern.matcher(line); if (matcher.matches()) { System.out.println(matcher.group(1) + " == " + matcher.group(2)); } else { matcher = singleQuotePattern.matcher(line); if (matcher.matches()) { System.out.println(matcher.group(1) + " == " + matcher.group(2)); } else { matcher = noQuotePattern.matcher(line); if (matcher.matches()) { System.out.println(matcher.group(1) + " == " + matcher.group(2)); } } } This works as I expect but I'm pretty sure that I can make this way smaller by using better regular expression but I haven't had any luck. Anyone know of a better way to read these types of files?

  • Ruby on Rails: how to get error messages from a child resource displayed?

    - by randombits
    I'm having a difficult time understanding how to get Rails to show explicitly the error messages that a child resource is failing on when I render an XML template. Hypothetically, I have the following classes: class School < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :students validates_associated :students end class Student < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :school validates_format_of :email, :with => /^([^@\s]+)@((?:[-a-z0-9]+\.)+[a-z]{2,})$/i, :message => "You must supply a valid email" end Now, in the controller, let's say we want to build a trivial API to allow us to add a new School with a student in it (again, I said, it's a terrible example, but plays its role for the purpose of the question) class SchoolsController < ApplicationController def create @school = School.new @student = school.students.build @student.email = "bad@email" respond_to do |format| if @school.save # some code else format.xml { render :xml => @school.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } end end end end Now the validation is working just fine, things die because the email doesn't match the regex that's set in the validates_format_of method in the Student class. However the output I get is the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <errors> <error>Students is invalid</error> </errors> I want the more meaningful error message that I set above with validates_format_of to show up. Meaning, I want it to say: <error>You must supply a valid email</error> What am I doing wrong for that not to show up?

  • SendMessage to window created by AllocateHWND cause deadlock

    - by user2704265
    In my Delphi project, I derive a thread class TMyThread, and follow the advice from forums to use AllocateHWnd to create a window handle. In TMyThread object, I call SendMessage to send message to the window handle. When the messages sent are in small volume, then the application works well. However, when the messages are in large volume, the application will deadlock and lose responses. I think may be the message queue is full as in LogWndProc, there are only codes to process the message, but no codes to remove the messages from the queue, that may cause all the processed messages still exist in the queue and the queue becomes full. Is that correct? The codes are attached below: var hLogWnd: HWND = 0; procedure TForm1.FormCreate(Sender: TObject); begin hLogWnd := AllocateHWnd(LogWndProc); end; procedure TForm1.FormDestroy(Sender: TObject); begin if hLogWnd <> 0 then DeallocateHWnd(hLogWnd); end; procedure TForm1.LogWndProc(var Message: TMessage); var S: PString; begin if Message.Msg = WM_UPDATEDATA then begin S := PString(msg.LParam); try List1.Items.Add(S^); finally Dispose(S); end; end else Message.Result := DefWindowProc(hLogWnd, Message.Msg, Message.WParam, Message.LParam); end; procedure TMyThread.SendLog(I: Integer); var Log: PString; begin New(Log); Log^ := 'Log: current stag is ' + IntToStr(I); SendMessage(hLogWnd, WM_UPDATEDATA, 0, LPARAM(Log)); Dispose(Log); end;

  • How do I copy or move an NSManagedObject from one context to another?

    - by Aeonaut
    I have what I assume is a fairly standard setup, with one scratchpad MOC which is never saved (containing a bunch of objects downloaded from the web) and another permanent MOC which persists objects. When the user selects an object from scratchMOC to add to her library, I want to either 1) remove the object from scratchMOC and insert into permanentMOC, or 2) copy the object into permanentMOC. The Core Data FAQ says I can copy an object like this: NSManagedObjectID *objectID = [managedObject objectID]; NSManagedObject *copy = [context2 objectWithID:objectID]; (In this case, context2 would be permanentMOC.) However, when I do this, the copied object is faulted; the data is initially unresolved. When it does get resolved, later, all of the values are nil; none of the data (attributes or relationships) from the original managedObject are actually copied or referenced. Therefore I can't see any difference between using this objectWithID: method and just inserting an entirely new object into permanentMOC using insertNewObjectForEntityForName:. I realize I can create a new object in permanentMOC and manually copy each key-value pair from the old object, but I'm not very happy with that solution. (I have a number of different managed objects for which I have this problem, so I don't want to have to write and update copy: methods for all of them as I continue developing.) Is there a better way?

  • Automatically release resources RAII-style in Perl

    - by Philip Potter
    Say I have a resource (e.g. a filehandle or network socket) which has to be freed: open my $fh, "<", "filename" or die "Couldn't open filename: $!"; process($fh); close $fh or die "Couldn't close filename: $!"; Suppose that process might die. Then the code block exits early, and $fh doesn't get closed. I could explicitly check for errors: open my $fh, "<", "filename" or die "Couldn't open filename: $!"; eval {process($fh)}; my $saved_error = $@; close $fh or die "Couldn't close filename: $!"; die $saved_error if $saved_error; but this kind of code is notoriously difficult to get right, and only gets more complicated when you add more resources. In C++ I would use RAII to create an object which owns the resource, and whose destructor would free it. That way, I don't have to remember to free the resource, and resource cleanup happens correctly as soon as the RAII object goes out of scope - even if an exception is thrown. Unfortunately in Perl a DESTROY method is unsuitable for this purpose as there are no guarantees for when it will be called. Is there a Perlish way to ensure resources are automatically freed like this even in the presence of exceptions? Or is explicit error checking the only option?

  • How can I get the dimensions of a drawn string without padding?

    - by Dan Herbert
    I'm trying to create an image with some text on it and I want the image's size to match the size of the rendered text. When I use System.Windows.Forms.TextRenderer.MeasureText(...) to measure the text, I get dimensions that include font padding. When the text is rendered, it seems to use the same padding. Is there any way to determine the size of a string of text and then render it without any padding? This is the code I've tried: // Measure the text dimensions var text = "Hello World"; var fontFamily = new Font("Arial", 30, FontStyle.Regular); var textColor = new SolidBrush(Color.Black); Size textSize = TextRenderer.MeasureText(text, fontFamily, Size.Empty, TextFormatFlags.NoPadding); // Render the text with the given dimensions Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(textSize.Width, textSize.Height); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); g.TextRenderingHint = TextRenderingHint.AntiAliasGridFit; g.DrawString(text, fontFamily, textColor, new PointF(0, 0)); bmp.Save("output.png", ImageFormat.Png); This is what currently gets rendered out: This is what I want to render: I also looked into Graphics.MeasureString(...), but that can only be used on an existing Graphics object. I want to know the size before creating the image. Also, calling Graphics.MeasureString(...) returns the same dimensions, so it doesn't help me any.

  • Cache Class compilation error using parent-child relationships and cache sql storage

    - by Fred Altman

The third subscript (Seq) has a property (IppLineCount) which is the number of IppLines in the fourth subscript level (Seq2). • Migration of .NET COM object to 64 bit.

    - by Victor Ronin
    Hi, We have C++ application which uses several COM object. COM object are .NET based (using COM Interop). I need to migrate application to 64 bit. I specifically need C++ application to be 64 bit. I don't want to recompile all of .NET com object to 64 bit and deliver two sets of DLL's (32 bit and 64 bit). I was investigating and found that I can load 32 bit COM Dll's in 32 bit surrogate process using (DllSurrogate in registry). I know how to do that, but it means that all COM objects will become out of process. In the C++ I had the code: CoCreateInstance(CLSID_SomeClass, NULL, CLSCTX_INPROC_SERVER, IID_SomeInterface, (void**)&pobj); It worked fine, but as soon as I switch to CLSCTX_LOCAL_SERVER (and add registry keys for DllSurrogate), it can't find interfaces (error 0x80004002). I checked registry and found out that when .NET COM DLL is registered, it adds ClsID registry keys, but doesn't add Interface and TypeLib registry key. The question is, how to create these registry keys for .NET COM? Regards, Victor

  • Make seems to think a prerequisite is an intermediate file, removes it

    - by James
    For starters, this exercise in GNU make was admittedly just that: an exercise rather than a practicality, since a simple bash script would have sufficed. However, it brought up interesting behavior I don't quite understand. I've written a seemingly simple Makefile to handle generation of SSL key/cert pairs as necessary for MySQL. My goal was for make <name> to result in <name>-key.pem, <name>-cert.pem, and any other necessary files (specifically, the CA pair if any of it is missing or needs updating, which leads into another interesting follow-up exercise of handling reverse deps to reissue any certs that had been signed by a missing/updated CA cert). After executing all rules as expected, make seems to be too aggressive at identifying intermediate files for removal; it removes a file I thought would be "safe" since it should have been generated as a prereq to the main rule I'm invoking. • qt on Win CE 5.0 crash

    - by Michael
    Good day all, It's the first time I am using Qt on Windows CE and I ran into an issue. Maybe someone can help me with it. I will describe my set up. I am using XP with Visual Studio 2005 an Qt Add-in version 1.1.2. I downloaded Qt source for Windows CE and followed the instructions on these (http://doc.trolltech.com/4.4/install-wince.html) instructions to build the library for CE. I then used the Visual Studio to create a minimal Qt Windows CE Application. The program runs fine in the CE emulator, but once I try to deploy it on the device it crashes with the following message: Load module: qt_ce_3.exe Load module: QtGui4.dll Load module: msvcr80.dll Load module: QtCore4.dll Load module: CEShell.DLL Load module: OLEAUT32.dll Load module: commctrl.dll.0409.MUI Load module: commctrl.dll Load module: aygshell.dll Load module: WS2.dll Load module: WINSOCK.dll Load module: coredll.dll.0409.MUI Load module: ossvcs.dll Load module: ole32.dll Load module: coredll.dll Load module: MMTimer.dll Data Abort: Thread=8fb09a40 Proc=8c4ecea0 'qt_ce_3.exe' AKY=00040001 PC=012a80b0(qtcore4.dll+0x000680b0) RA=012a8168(qtcore4.dll+0x00068168) BVA=676e4574 FSR=000000f5 Unhandled exception at 0x012a80b0 in qt_ce_3.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x676e4574. I tried it on two devices from different manufacturers, and the result is the same. Debug version worked on one of them, ran out of memory on the other. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance, Michael

  • What's the best way to develop a debugging window for an ajax ASP.Net MVC application

    - by KallDrexx
    While developing my ASP.NET MVC, I have started to see the need for a debugging console window to assist in figuring out what is going right and wrong in my code. I read the last few chapters of the Pro Asp.net MVC book, and the author details how to use http modules to show page load/creation times and linq to sql query logs, both of which I definitely want to be able to see. However, since I am loading a lot of small sections of my page individually with ajax I don't want the debug information right there in the middle of my screen. So the idea I came up with was to have a separate browser window (open-able by a link or some javascript) with a console log, that can contain logged entries both from javascript and from the asp.net mvc run. The former should be relatively easy, but I'm having trouble coming up with a way to log the asp.net information in ajax requests. The direction I have been thinking of going is to create an httpmodule (like the Pro MVC book does), and have that module contain some that append the javascript's log to console calls with the messages. The issue I see with this is finding a way to get the log messages from the controller's action methods to the httpmodule's methods. The only way I see to do this is with a singleton, but I'm not sure if singletons are bad practice for a stateless web application. Furthermore, it seems like if I return json with my ajax calls (instead of pure html) then that won't work at all anyways and unless there is a way to add data to an existing json structure inside the httpmodule. How does everyone else handle this type of debugging in heavily ajax applications? For reference, the javascript library I am using is jquery.

  • What does "active directory integration" mean in your .NET app?

    - by flipdoubt
    Our marketing department comes back with "active directory integration" being a key customer request, but our company does not seem to have the attention span to (1) decide on what functional changes we want to make toward this end, (2) interview a broad range of customer to identify the most requested functional changes, and (3) still have this be the "hot potato" issue next week. To help me get beyond the broad topic of "active directory integration," what does it mean in your .NET app, both ASP.NET and WinForms? Here are some sample changes I have to consider: When creating and managing users in your app, are administrators presented with a list of all AD users or just a group of AD users? When creating new security groups within your app (we call them Departments, like "Human Resources"), should this create new AD groups? Do administrators assign users to security groups within your app or outside via AD? Does it matter? Is the user signed on to your app by virtue of being signed on to Windows? If not, do you track users with your own user table and some kind of foreign key into AD? What foreign key do you use to link app users to AD users? Do you have to prove your login process protects user passwords? What foreign key do you use to link app security groups to AD security groups? If you have a WinForms component to your app (we have both ASP.NET and WinForms), do you use the Membership Provider in your WinForms app? Currently, our Membership and Role management predates the framework's version, so we do not use the Membership Provider. Am I missing any other areas of functional changes? Followup question Do apps that support "active directory integration" have the ability to authenticate users against more than one domain? Not that one user would authenticate to more than one domain but that different users of the same system would authenticate against different domains.

  • How can I make this work with deep properties

    - by Martin Robins
    Given the following code... class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { Foo foo = new Foo { Bar = new Bar { Name = "Martin" }, Name = "Martin" }; DoLambdaStuff(foo, f => f.Name); DoLambdaStuff(foo, f => f.Bar.Name); } static void DoLambdaStuff<TObject, TValue>(TObject obj, Expression<Func<TObject, TValue>> expression) { // Set up and test "getter"... Func<TObject, TValue> getValue = expression.Compile(); TValue stuff = getValue(obj); // Set up and test "setter"... ParameterExpression objectParameterExpression = Expression.Parameter(typeof(TObject)), valueParameterExpression = Expression.Parameter(typeof(TValue)); Expression<Action<TObject, TValue>> setValueExpression = Expression.Lambda<Action<TObject, TValue>>( Expression.Block( Expression.Assign(Expression.Property(objectParameterExpression, ((MemberExpression)expression.Body).Member.Name), valueParameterExpression) ), objectParameterExpression, valueParameterExpression ); Action<TObject, TValue> setValue = setValueExpression.Compile(); setValue(obj, stuff); } } class Foo { public Bar Bar { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } class Bar { public string Name { get; set; } } The call to DoLambdaStuff(foo, f => f.Name) works ok because I am accessing a shallow property, however the call to DoLambdaStuff(foo, f => f.Bar.Name) fails - although the creation of the getValue function works fine, the creation of the setValueExpression fails because I am attempting to access a deep property of the object. Can anybody please help me to modify this so that I can create the setValueExpression for deep properties as well as shallow? Thanks.

  • Generate jpeg compressed Tiff using RGB colorspace (using Java + JAI)

    - by nOiSe gaTe
    I'm trying to make tiled pyramidal tiffs from master tiff images using Java (JAI 1.1.3 + imageIO). The problem is: I NEED to make tiff files compressed in jpeg with RGB photometric interpretation and no matter what I try, the image still faces YCbCr photometric interpretation. Note: if I change compression type (eg. LZW or Deflate) I can get RGB colorspace but, as I said, I need jpeg compression. Except this detail the tiled PTiff I create it's ok, so I think it's better to focus the attention on simple compression step (uncompressed tiff -- jpeg tiff) this may be a basic example (removing any check to make it more readable) // reading MASTER BufferedImage img = ImageIO.read(uncompressedTiff); ImageOutputStream ios=null; ImageWriter writer=null; ios = ImageIO.createImageOutputStream(outFile); Iterator <ImageWriter> writers = ImageIO.getImageWritersByFormatName("tiff"); writer = writers.next(); // saving and compression params writer.setOutput(ios); ImageWriteParam param = writer.getDefaultWriteParam(); param.setCompressionMode(ImageWriteParam.MODE_EXPLICIT); param.setCompressionType("JPEG"); param.setCompressionQuality(0.8f); param.setTilingMode(ImageWriteParam.MODE_EXPLICIT); param.setTiling(256, 256, 0, 0); IIOMetadata metadata = getWriteMD(writer, param); // writing writer.write(metadata, new IIOImage(img, null, metadata), param); in getWriteMD method: .... TIFFTag photoInterp = base.getTag(BaselineTIFFTagSet.TAG_PHOTOMETRIC_INTERPRETATION); TIFFField fieldPhotoInter = new TIFFField(photoInterp, BaselineTIFFTagSet.PHOTOMETRIC_INTERPRETATION_RGB); .... here is the full version of getWriteMD()

  • Trouble with C# array

    - by Biosci3c
    Hi, I am writing a card playing program as a way of learning C#. I ran into an issue with an array going out of bounds. Here is my code: namespace Pcardconsole { class Deck { public Deck() { // Assign standard deck to new deck object int j; for (int i = 0; i != CurrentDeck.Length; i++) { CurrentDeck[i] = originalCards[i]; } // Fisher-Yates Shuffling Algorithim Random rnd = new Random(); for (int k = CurrentDeck.Length - 1; k >= 0; k++) { int r = rnd.Next(0, k + 1); int tmp = CurrentDeck[k]; CurrentDeck[k] = CurrentDeck[r]; CurrentDeck[r] = tmp; // Console.WriteLine(i); } } public void Shuffle() { // TODO } // public int[] ReturnCards() // { // TODO // } public int[] originalCards = new int[54] { 0x11, 0x12, 0x13, 0x14, 0x15, 0x16, 0x17, 0x18, 0x19, 0x1A, 0x1B, 0x1C, 0x1D, 0x21, 0x22, 0x23, 0x24, 0x25, 0x26, 0x27, 0x28, 0x29, 0x2A, 0x2B, 0x2C, 0x2D, 0x31, 0x32, 0x33, 0x34, 0x35, 0x36, 0x37, 0x38, 0x39, 0x3A, 0x3B, 0x3C, 0x3D, 0x41, 0x42, 0x43, 0x44, 0x45, 0x46, 0x47, 0x48, 0x49, 0x4A, 0x4B, 0x4C, 0x4D, 0x50, 0x51 }; public int[] CurrentDeck = new int[54]; } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { // Create a Deck object Deck mainDeck = new Deck(); Console.WriteLine("Here is the card array:"); for (int index = 0; index != mainDeck.CurrentDeck.Length; index++) { string card = mainDeck.CurrentDeck[index].ToString("x"); Console.WriteLine("0x" + card); } } } The hexidecimal numbers stand for different cards. When I compile it I get an array index out of bounds error, and a crash. I don't understand what is wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • How can I track down "Template process failed: undef error" in Perl's Template Toolkit?

    - by swisstony
    I've moved a Perl CGI app from one web host to another. Everything's running fine except for Template Tookit which is giving the following error: "Template process failed: undef error - This shouldn't happen at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/CGI/Carp.pm line 314." The templates are working fine on the other web host. I've set the DEBUG_ALL flag when creating the template object, but it doesn't provide any additional info about errors just loads of debug output. I can't post the template source as there's lots of client specific stuff in it. I've written a simple test template and that works okay. Just wondering if anyone had seen this error before or has any ideas on the quickest way to find a fix for it. EDIT: Here's a snippet of the code that loads and processes the template. my $vars = {}; $vars->{page_url} = $page_url; $vars->{info} = $info; $vars->{is_valid} = 0; $vars->{invalid_input} = 0; $vars->{is_warnings} = 0; $vars->{is_invalid_price} = 0; $vars->{output_from_proc} = $proc_output; ... my $file = 'clientTemplate.html'; #create ref to hash use Template::Constants qw( :debug ); my $template = Template->new( { DEBUG => DEBUG_SERVICE | DEBUG_CONTEXT | DEBUG_PROVIDER | DEBUG_PLUGINS | DEBUG_FILTERS | DEBUG_PARSER | DEBUG_DIRS, EVAL_PERL => 1, INCLUDE_PATH => [ '/home/perlstuff/templates', ], } ); $template->process( $file, $vars ) || die "Template process failed: ", $template->error(), "\n";

  • Can't access CodeBase from a dynamically generated assembly.

    - by Michael Meadows
    I'm trying to create an assembly dynamically in .Net. I can't seem to figure out how to get the CodeBase property to return a value, however. Here's an example: var assemblyName = new AssemblyName { Name = "Whatever", CodeBase = Directory.GetCurrentDirectory() }; var assemblyBuilder = AppDomain.CurrentDomain .DefineDynamicAssembly(assemblyName, AssemblyBuilderAccess.RunAndSave); var moduleBuilder = assemblyBuilder.DefineDynamicModule("WhateverModule", "Whatever.dll"); var typeBuilder = moduleBuilder.DefineType("WhateverType", TypeAttributes.Public); var type = typeBuilder.CreateType(); assemblyBuilder.Save("Whatever.dll"); var codeBase = type.Assembly.CodeBase; // throws the below exception System.NotSupportedException was unhandled Message=The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic assembly. • C# NullReferenceException when passing DataTable

    - by Timothy
    I've been struggling with a NullReferenceException and hope someone here will be able to point me in the right direction. I'm trying to create and populate a DataTable and then show the results in a DataGridView control. The basic code follows, and Execution stops with a NullReferenceException at the point where I invoke the new UpdateResults_Delegate. Oddly enough, I can trace entries.Rows.Count successfully before I return it from QueryEventEntries, so I can at least show 1) entries is not a null reference, and 2) the DataTable contains rows of data. I know I have to be doing something wrong, but I just don't know what. private delegate void UpdateResults_Delegate(DataTable entries); private void UpdateResults(DataTable entries) { dataGridView.DataSource = entries; } private void button_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { Thread t = new Thread(new ThreadStart(PerformQuery)); t.Start(); } private void PerformQuery() { DateTime start = new DateTime(dateTimePicker1.Value.Year, dateTimePicker1.Value.Month, dateTimePicker1.Value.Day, 0, 0, 0); DateTime stop = new DateTime(dateTimePicker2.Value.Year, dateTimePicker2.Value.Month, dateTimePicker2.Value.Day, 0, 0, 0); DataTable entries = QueryEventEntries(start, stop); Invoke(new UpdateResults_Delegate(UpdateResults), entries); } private DataTable QueryEventEntries(DateTime start, DateTime stop) { DataTable entries = new DataTable(); entries.Columns.Add("colEventType", typeof(Int32)); entries.Columns.Add("colTimestamp", typeof(Int32)); entries.Columns.Add("colDetails", typeof(String)); ... conn.Open(); using (SqlDataReader r = cmd.ExecuteReader()) { while (r.Read()) { entries.Rows.Add(result.GetInt32(0), result.GetInt32(1), result.GetString(2)); } } return entries; }
