  • Me As Child Type

    I have a MustInherit Parent class with two Child classes which Inherit from the Parent. How can I use (or Cast) Me in a Parent function as the the child type of that instance? EDIT: My actual goal is to be able to serialize (BinaryFormatter.Serialize(Stream, Object)) either of my child classes. However, "repeating the code" in each child "seems" wrong.

    Whenever I try to open a project (csproj) that's downloaded from the internet, most of the times, I get the "The project type is not supported by this installation" It appears that my Visual Studio installation is not corrupted (I can pretty much do everything with it other than open these csproj files) What may be causing this?

    Hi, I'm writing a POS application for the iPhone/iPod combination, using the same exact hardware used in Apple Stores:: EasyPay. Ok, my hurdle is this: how do I identify which credit card type is being used as text is entered in the uitextfield? I assume I've to use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString:?     Hello, is it possible to specify that a NSMutableArray can only contain a certain type of objects. For example, if I want to store only this kind of objects : @interface MyObject : NSObject { UInt8 value; } In order to be able to use the instance variable like this : - (void)myMethod:(NSMutableArray *)myArray{ for (id myObject in myArray){ [self otherMethod:myObject.value]; } } because I'm getting this error : request for member 'value' in something not a structure or union Thank you for your help
