  • How to implement an override method in IronPython

    I'm trying to implement a WPF control in IronPython and I'm having trouble implemented the override methods. The code below fails with this error: TypeError: expected int, got instancemethod. If I rename the VisualChildrenCount method, the exception is not raised anymore, but the control doesn't work.   • ASP.Net Session data lost between pages

    Hi, i came across a weird behavior today w/ my web application. When I navigate from a page to another, I lose one particular session variable data. I'm able to launch the app in firefox and able to see that the session data is not lost. I use Response.Redirect(page2, false) to redirect to another page.   • Google Visualization legend format Jquery ui tabs

    I've got an issue when using the Google Visualization api line chart with Jquery ui tabs. I've got two graphs on two tabs. The first graph, which is visible by default displays fine: the second chart on the hidden tab seems to be messing up the key: I've tried changing the options but nothing I do seems to make any difference.     Hi there, I have a csv DictReader object (using Python 3.1), but I would like to know the number of lines/rows contained in the reader before I iterate through it. Something like as follows... myreader = csv.DictReader(open('myFile.csv', newline='')) totalrows = ? rowcount = 0 for row in myreader: rowcount +=1 print("Row %d/%d" % (rowcount,totalrows)) I know I could get the total by iterating through the reader, but then I couldn't run the 'for' loop. I could iterate through a copy of the reader, but I cannot find how to copy an iterator. I could also use totalrows = len(open('myFile.csv').readlines()) but that seems an unnecessary re-opening of the file. I would rather get the count from the DictReader if possible.     Hey, I have a form for administrators where they insert a user name ("domain\name") and the code gets and sets some information out of it. It's a huge project and some of the lists contain the username as a string ("domain\name"), but some lists only count on the "Created By" column, which is auto-created. I want to know what's the fastest way to query these lists using the username string. I tried to use the same query as the one I use for the first kind of lists and it obviously didn't work - <Where><Eq><FieldRef Name='UserName'/><Value Type='Text'>domain\\username</Value></Eq></Where> Thank you.

  • SQL Server Table locks in long query - Solution: NoLock?

    a report in my application runs a query that needs between 5 - 15 seconds (constrained to count of rows that will be returned). The query has 8 joins to nearly all main-tables of my application (Customers, sales, units etc). A little tool shows me, that in this time, all those 8 tables are locked with a shared table lock. That means, no update operation will be done in this time. A solution from a friend is, to have every join in the query, which is not mandetory to have 100% correct data (dirty read), with a NoLock, so only 1 of this 8 tables will be locked completly. Is that a good solution? For a report in which 99% of data came from one table, unlock the less prio tables?

    I’m trying to build a simple application that will recognize the values of two 6-sided dice. I’m looking for some general pointers, or maybe even an open source project. The two dice will be black and white, with white and black pips respectively. Their distance to the camera will always be the same, but their position on the playing surface will be random. (not the best example, the surface will be a different color and the shadows will be gone) I have no prior experience with developing this kind of recognition software, but I would assume the trick is to first isolate the faces by searching for the square profile with a dominating white or black color (the rest of the image, i.e. the table/playing surface, will in distinctly different colors), and then isolate the pips for the count. Shadows will be eliminated by top down lighting. I’m hoping the described scenario is so simple (read: common) it may even be used as an “introductory exercise” for developers working on OCR technologies or similar computer vision challenges.

The thing is that the "hits" should stay unique with a user ID, so if a user hits the item 3 times, it should still count for a hit of 1. Also, I need to display the total number of hits for a particular item. Is there a better way than to store each hits for each items by each users in a separate table? Would keeping the user ID in a string separated by commas a better and efficient way?

    I'm trying to write a macro which can look into the list of horizontal page breaks that a worksheet keeps, and it seems like HPageBreaks should be exactly that. I can add or remove page breaks from it, but I can't seem to isolate the collection itself to look at its contents. Even adding a watch and looking at ActiveSheet.HPageBreaks just brings up a generic looking object with a count field equal to 0 regardless of existing page breaks. I'm really confused about this now. Is there any way to look into the existing page breaks within a sheet? A listing of what rows they occur on/between would be great.

    1.) I have a main method Processing, which takes string as an arguments and that string contains some x number of tasks. 2.) I have another method Status, which keeps track of first method by using two variables TotalTests and CurrentTest. which will be modified every time with in a loop in first method(Processing). 3.) When more than one client makes a call parallely to my web service to call the Processing method by passing a string, which has different tasks will take more time to process. so in the mean while clients will be using a second thread to call the Status method in the webservice to get the status of the first method. 4.) when point number 3 is being done all the clients are supposed to get the variables(TotalTests,CurrentTest) parallely with out being mixed up with other client requests. 5.) The code that i have provided below is getting mixed up variables results for all the clients when i make them as static. If i remove static for the variables then clients are just getting all 0's for these 2 variables and i am unable to fix it. Please take a look at the below code.     When I define the User has_many meetings, it automatically creates a "user_id" key/value pair to relate to the User collections. Except I can't run any mongo_mapper finds using this value, without it returning nil or []. Therefore, we did a sync and then this to flush the cache and buffers: echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches and directly afterwards the I/O wait and service times virtually went through the roof, and everything on the machine felt like slow motion. During the next few hours the latency recovered and everything was as before - small to medium lags in short, unpredictable intervals. Now my question is: does anybody have any idea what might cause this annoying behaviour? Is it the first indication of the disk array or the raid controller dying, or something that can be easily mended by rebooting? (At the moment we're very reluctant to do this, however, because we're afraid that the disks might not come back up again.) Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Chris. Edited to add: we do see one or two processes go to 'D' state in top, one of which seems to be kjournald rather frequently. If I'm not mistaken, however, this does not indicate the processes causing the latency, but rather those affected by it - correct me if I'm wrong.     I am using PartCover 2.2/2.3(trying with both) on win 7 x64. After generating report and selecting view coverage details, I can see for each method the code coverage. When I click on a method I see on the right list with block, block length, visit count and has source(set to yes). However, it doesn't fill the code like shown here http://www.csharpcity.com/using-partcover-and-nunit-for-code-coverage/. I haven't checked anything, everything is default. Can you tell me how I can see the coverage code? Thank you

    I have 3 tables holding products for a restaurant. Products that reside in the bar, food and ingredients. I use php and mysql. I have another table that holds information about the orders that have been made so far. There are 2 fields, the most important ones, that hold information about the id of the product and the type (from the bar, from the kitchen or from the ingredients). I was thinking to write the sql query like below to use either the table for bar products, kitchen or ingredients but it doesn't work. Basically the second table on join must be either "bar", "produse" or "stoc".     Has anybody some information about accessing Lotus Domino server to fetch entire mail contents by http(s) requests from php linux server? The article by Andrei Kouvchinnikov describes well how to fetch message list in notes mail folders; after obtaining session id during login one can for example select top 100 messages by calling: https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)?ReadViewEntries&Start=1&Count=100 And this works perfectly. The arises when I am trying to get message contents (0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811 is an example message unique Id): https://your.server.domain/mail_db/mailbox.nsf/($Inbox)/0A1DA5EEB7B65277C12576F50055D811/?OpenDocument Such request in IE shows frameset with data hard to parse, in less common browsers like Opera it informs about unsupported browser. Ideally if it is possible to fetch notes message contents and all attachments by requesting it in the url, has anybody some information what request would it be? Link to Lotus web calls reference would be even more beneficial.

    I've created a menu in umbraco using XSLT. The menu is using the usual ul and li elements and I'm displaying only the first level of the menu. The aim is to create a menu that expands to show the sub menu when I click a parent node (in the top level). I am after the xslt I would need to expose the sub menu when clicked. I think I would need to make use of ancestor-or-self to detect the current menu and parent menu and display them and also the $currentPage variable.
