  I want to be able to show a dialog on outbound calls. The dialog is used to ask the user if he wants 1. dial the phone number directly 2. Dial through the PBX. If option two is chosen, i want to dial a specific number and send the dialed number as DTMF. How do I catch and stop outgoing calls? How do I get the dialed number?

• AMD chipset VS SLi

  Hello, I currently own a Crosshair 2 Formula which is broken and I need to replace. Recently, I bought a Phenom 2 CPU which I wouldn't like to throw away. Recent Crosshairs are based (as opposed to the Rampage series) on chipsets that are certified for AMD Crossfire. The problem is that I have 3 SLi cards I absolutely don't want to change with AMD card(s) since I use 3D Vision, and I need NVidia. If I buy a Crosshair 3 or 4 which is not SLi certified, will SLi still work? Else, could you suggest me a good gaming motherboard with AM3 socket and that works with 3-way SLi? Thank you in advance. • NSDocument Subclass not closed by NSWindowController?

  Okay, I'm fairly new to Cocoa and Objective-C, and to OOP in general. As background, I'm working on an extensible editor that stores the user's documents in a package. This of course required some "fun" to get around some issues with NSFileWrapper (i.e. a somewhat sneaky writing and loading process to avoid making NSFileWrappers for every single document within the bundle). The solution I arrived at was to essentially treat my NSDocument subclass as just a shell -- use it to make the folder for the bundle, and then pass off writing the actual content of the document to other methods. Unfortunately, at some point I seem to have completely screwed the pooch. I don't know how this happened, but closing the document window no longer releases the document. The document object doesn't seem to receive a "close" message -- or any related messages -- even though the window closes successfully. The end result is that if I start my app, create a new document, save it, then close it, and try to reopen it, the document window never appears. With some creative subclassing and NSLogging, I managed to figure out that the document object was still in memory, and still attached to the NSDocumentController instance, and so trying to open the document never got past the NSDocumentController's "hmm, currently have that one open" check. I did have an NSWindowController and NSDocumentController instance, but I've purged them from my project completely. I've overridden nearly every method for NSDocument trying to find out where the issue is. So far as I know, my Interface Builder bindings are all correct -- "Close" in the main menu is attached to "performClose:" of the First Responder, etc, and I've tried with fresh unsullied MainMenu and Document xibs as well. I thought that it might be something strange with my bundle writing code, so I basically deleted it all and started from scratch, but that didn't seem to work. I took out my init method overrides, and that didn't help either. I don't have the source of any simple document apps here, so I didn't try the next logical step (to substitute known-working code for mine in the readfromurl and writetourl methods). I've had this problem for about sixteen hours of uninterrupted troubleshooting now, and needless to say, I'm at the end of my rope. If I can't figure it out, I guess I'm going to try the project from scratch with a lot more code and intensity based around the bundle-document mess. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Problem in using svn and buildix

  Hi all I ran into a problem in using svn and buildix. I have a project created in svn as well as in cruise control which was working fine. Since yesterday whenever I commit changes into svn they are successfully commited but buildix is not able to pick up those changes, Normally I used to run 'svn update' whenever this problem occurs but now this is not helping for this project. When I try to run 'svn update', I get Skipped '.' and when I try to run 'svn cleanup', I get svn: '.' is not a working copy directory I took the advice of some one and deleted the folder .svn in my project but that did not help. • SQL Server 2008 Management Studio doesn't recognize new Schema

  I have created a new Schema in a database called Contexts. Now when I want to write a query, Management Studio doesn't recognize the tables that belong to the new Schema. It says: 'Invalid object name Contexts.ContextLibraries'... Transact-SQL: INSERT INTO [Contexts].[ContextLibraries] (ChannelId, [IsSystem]) VALUES (@ChannelId, 1) When I try the same thing on my local database, it does work... Any ideas? I did try to change the Default schema for the user from dbo to Contexts but this doesn't work. Also checked Contexts in Schemas owned by this user without success. Update: Apparently the sql query does work but the editor gives a fault saying the object is invalid.

• Java parsing UTF8

  I have the following issue with a UTF8 files structured as following: FIELD1§FIELD2§FIELD3§FIELD4 Looking at hexadecimal values of the file it uses A7 to codify §. So according to this codify it should be UTF8, but it's strange because A7 7F so 1 byte shouldn't be enough to codify §. So I tried using directly a BufferedReader with a specified charset: BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(new FileInputStream(input), utf8)) but when I try to tokenize the string with SmartTokenizer st = new SmartTokenizer(toTokenize, "§") (the SmartTokenizer is a modified version of the StringTokenizer that keeps empty tokens) no splitting occurs, and if I try to print the string I obtain FIELD1?FIELD2?FIELD3?... so § used in the file is different from the one specified as a the delimiter, and it's not able to print out it too. So what's the problem here? Maybe the original file should use 2 bytes to store §?

• XQuery method question, trying to sum values read from xml

  I'm pretty new to XQuery and I'm trying to write an example function that I can't get to work. I want to read an xml file, parse out the "time" values, sum them as they're read and return the sum. This is trivial and I'm looking to build more functionality into it but I'd like to get this working first. Also, I know there's a "sum" directive in XQuery that would do just this but I want to add more to it so the built-in sum is insufficient for my needs. • Building optimal custom machine for Sql Server

  Getting the hardware in the mail any day. Hardware related to my question: x10 15.5k RPM SAS Segate Cheetah's x2 Adaptec 5405 PCIe Raid cards Motherboard has integrated SAS raid. Was thinking I would build 2 RAID 10 arrays one for data and one for logs The remaining 2 drives a RAID 0 for TempDB Will probably throw in a drive for OS. Does putting the Sql Server application / exe's on a raid make a difference and is there any impact of leaving the OS on a relatively slow disk compared to the raid arrays? I have 5/6 DBs combined < 50 gigs. With a relatively good / constant load. Estimating 60-7% reads vs writes. Planning on using log shipping as well if that matters. Any advice or suggestions?

  I'm writing a DLL that has function for getting Alfresco login ticket without using user password, using only a user principal name (UPN). I’m calling alfresco REST API service /wcservice. I use NTLM in Alfresco. I’m impersonating users using WindowsIdentity constructor as explained here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998351.aspx#paght000023_impersonatingbyusingwindowsidentity. I checked and user is properly impersonated (I checked WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name property). After impersonating a user, I try to make HttpWebRequest and set its credentials with CredentialsCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials. I get the error: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse() When I use new NetworkCredential("username", "P@ssw0rd") to set request credentials, I get Alfresco login ticket (HttpStatusCode.OK, 200). Is there any way that I can get Alfresco login ticket without user password? • At what point does Active Directory and Domain Services become necessary? [closed]

  I see time and time again such services running in a business environment with only 10 users. Everyone in the office authenticates with the DC and interacts with a shared drive where files and documents are stored. I can't help but think...reeeeealy? But I don't know, that's why I'm asking. To me it seems like you need to reach a certain threshold of size and needs before you throw a DC into the mix. ie: a 20+ user business (and growing) with permission requirements that separate the sales team from accounting. Thoughts?

  I'm trying to achieve load balancing between different types of messages. I would not know in advance what the messages coming in might be until they hit the queue. I know I can try resequencing the messages, but I was thinking that maybe if there was a way to have the various consumers round robin between either queues or between topics, this would solve my problem. The main problem i'm trying to solve is that I have many services sending messages to one queue with many consumers feeding off one queue. I do not want one type of service monopolizing the entire worker cluster. Again I don't know in advance what the messages that are going to hit the queue are going to be. To try to clearly repeat my question: Is there a way to tell the consumers to round robin between either existing queues or topics? Thank you in advance.

I've found out that a line of packed javascript was added to many js files across the server. • Super wide, but not so tall, bitmap?

  Howdy folks. Is there any way to create a more space/resource efficient bitmap? Currently i try to render a file, approx 800 px high but around 720000px wide. It crashes my application, presumebly because of the share memory-size of the bitmap. Can i do it more efficient, like creating it as an gif directly and not later when i save it? I try to save a series of lines/rectangles from a real world reading, and i want it to be 1px per 1/100th of a second. Any input? And btw, i never manage to ogon using google open id : /

• Why are Pascal control structures inconsistent?

  Most Pascal control structures make sense to me, like: for ... do {statement}; if (condition) then {statement}; while (condition) do {statement}; where the {statement} is either a single statement, or a begin ... end block. I have a problem with: repeat {statement-list} until (expression); try {statement-list} except {statement-list} end; Wouldn't it be better that repeat and try have the same general structure, accepting only a single statement or a begin ... end block, instead of having a statement-list that's not formally blocked with a begin and an end?

• SocketChannel in Java sends data, but it doesn't get to destination application

  Hi Everybody, I'm suffering a lot to create a simple ChatServer in Java, using the NIO libraries. Wonder if someone could help me. I am doing that by using SocketChannel and Selector to handle multiple clients in a single thread. The problem is: I am able to accept new connections and get it's data, but when I try to send data back, the SocketChannel simply doesn't work. In the method write(), it returns a integer that is the same size of the data i'm passing to it, but the client never receives that data. Strangely, when I close the server application, the client receives the data. It's like the socketchannel maintains a buffer, and it only get flushed when I close the application. Here are some more details, to give you more information to help. So, a client makes a TCP connection to the server, and once it gets accepted, it sends data to the server following a simply text protocol, informing his id and asking to get registrated to the server. I handle this in the method processIncomingDataFromNewClient(key). I'm also keeping a map of clients and its connections in a data structure similar to a hashtable. I? doing that because I need to recover a client Id from a connection and a connection from a client Id. This is can be shown in: clientsMap.getClient(key). But the problem itself resides in the method processIncomingDataFromNewClient(key). There, I simply read the data that the client sent to me, validate it, and if it's ok, I send a message back to the client to tell that it is connected to the chat server. So, the data never gets to it. When I close the server application, though, all the data appears in the client. I wonder why. It is important to say that the client is in C and the server JAVA, and I'm running both in the same machine, an Ubuntu Guest in virtualbox under windows. I also run both under windows host and under linuxes hosts, and keep getting the same strange problem. I'm sorry for the great lenght of this question, but I already searched a lot of places for an answer, found a lot of tutorials and questions, including here at StackOverflow, but coundn't find a reasonable explanation. I am really not liking this Java NIO, and i saw a lot of people complaining about it too.   Hi, I'm currently trying to get Freemarker to work with my application using Spring. No matter what I try I keep getting template not found. I am not sure if I have the configuration set up properly, but it never finds my template. Here is my spring bean config: <bean id="freemarkerConfig" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.freemarker.FreeMarkerConfigurer"> <property name="templateLoaderPath" value="/WEB-INF/freemarker/"/> </bean> Whenever I try to call getTemplate on the freemaker configuration it always sends back a template not found error. So if I do configuration.getTemplate("testTemplate.ftl") it always throws an IOException. I'm not sure if anyone has an idea of what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for all your help!
