  • How can I make my FireFox Browser AddOn Backwards Compatible?

    I'm making a firefox browser add-on, and I just got all of the code working fine, but it will only install in FireFox 16, and I want it to be compatible at least from 10+, has anyone dealt with this issue? I have my package.json pointing to my install.rdf, and my install.rdf clearly states target applications.     The "scour" or Rootkit.Win32.TDSS virus has a long history which can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scour Here is the primary symptom: after searching for something in your web browser using google, one of the results that you click on redirects you to scour.com. If you've executed ClamWin, Malwarebytes, McAfee, Norton, etc. to find and isolate the virus without any luck--this isn't really a surprise, since this virus attaches to existing system drivers. I only know of one reliable package that will remove this without ill effects--like adding new spyware. This package is called TDSSKiller. I have seen multiple websites that claim to have this software available, but the one that I know is reliable is located here: http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280684 Once you go to Kaspersky's tech support site, the TDSSKiller zip file is available for downloading. When you execute this software, you will be able to "cure" or repair the infected driver. Remember to jot down the name of the driver for future reference--should you need to reinstall the driver from a "same-as" working computer, or your install disk if the repair is ineffective. The driver that happened to get infected on my computer was the tcpip.sys driver. This caused my win sockets to loose their ip addresses. In most other instances, less critical drivers such as HDAudBus.sys are infected. In my case, I was not through correcting my computer problems until I corrected the broken WinSock issue and loaded an earlier version of the tcpip.sys driver from: C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 which I placed in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers Don't forget to reboot your computer after your repair! Once you download TDSSKiller and cure/repair your infected driver(s), the redirect on google searches should disappear .

  • How to install Tor (Web Browser) in Ubuntu 12.10?

    I would like to install the Tor, but I'm having some problems. I know that someone will say "This question is a exactly duplication of How to install tor?", but it's not, because the another question can not be applied to Ubuntu 12.10 as the deb command is not available anymore. I did a research and even at the Tor's Official Website the available resource can not be applied to Ubuntu 12.10. I tried to use the deb command (as the above question says: deb http://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org <DISTRIBUTION> main) and the Terminal says deb: command not found and when I try to install it says E: Unable to locate package deb. I've also tried to use the ppa: ubun-tor, but it's not compatible with Quantal Quetzal, because it's too old.   • When writing tests for a Wordpress plugin, should i run them inside wordpress or in a normal browser?

    I have started using BDD for a wordpress plugin i'm working on and i'm rewriting the js codebase to do tests. I've encountered a few problems but i'm going steady now, i was wondering if i had the right approach, because i'm writing test that should pass in a normal browser environment and not inside wordpress. I choose to do this because i want my plugin to be totally indipendent from the wordpress environment, i'm using requirejs in a way that i don't expose any globals and i'm loading my version of jQuery that doesn't override the one that ships with Wordpress. In this way my plugin would work the same on every wordpress version and my code would not break if they cheange the jQuery version or someone use my plugin on an old wordpress version. I wonder if this is the right approach or if i should always test inside the environment i'm working in. Since wordpress implies some globals i had to write some function purely for testing purpose, like "get_ajax_url": function() { if( typeof window.ajaxurl === "undefined" ) { return "http://localhost/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php"; } else { return window.ajaxurl; } }, but apart from that i got everything working right.   • Disallow robots.txt from being accessed in a browser but still accessible by spiders?

    We make use of the robots.txt file to prevent Google (and other search spiders) from crawling certain pages/directories in our domain. Some of these directories/files are secret, meaning they aren't linked (except perhaps on other pages encompassed by the robots.txt file). Some of these directories/files aren't secret, we just don't want them indexed. If somebody browses directly to www.mydomain.com/robots.txt, they can see the contents of the robots.txt file. From a security standpoint, this is not something we want publicly available to anybody. Any directories that contain secure information are set behind authentication, but we still don't want them to be discoverable unless the user specifically knows about them. Is there a way to provide a robots.txt file but to have it's presence masked by John Doe accessing it from his browser? Perhaps by using PHP to generate the document based on certain criteria? Perhaps something I'm not thinking of? We'd prefer a way to centrally do it (meaning a <meta> tag solution is less than ideal).

  • Is it possible to get Cufon to work on a button?

    So right now I'm bashing my head - at the moment we use an element for a button to give it our own custom font, fine - this works, but as we're using Cufon on the rest of the site, we're wondering if it's possible to get Cufon working on a button. So far I've changed the button to an and using standard css styles on an 'input' or 'input[type="submit"]' element work fine - but I've tried both of these in cufon to no avail. This is a button - so as Cufon generates images, this should work, but maybe I'm doing it wrong - can anyone help?

With that being said, I'm trying to develop a small application targeting the iPad, using Xcode and IB, basically, I have a table, for each UITableViewCell in the table, I added to the accessoryView a button that contains an image. Also, as you can see, I'm telling it to use the "cell.accessoryView" for the "inView:" attribute, is that okay?

    I have just started my career as an android programmer, and am currently relying heavily on the sample code and api examples. I have been working with this api example, to produce an expandable list of items (note this example does not use the ExpadableListView). In playing with the example, I tried to add another widget that would become visible and be gone at the same time as the text (mDialogue in the sample code). This works well with another TextView, but as soon as I tried to add a button widget, it stopped working. The list would expand on first click, showing my hidden TextView and Button, but it will not disappear on further clicks. The button is however, clickable, and I was able to set up an onClick listener to change the button text back and forth. I'm starting to wonder, is it just not possible to have a clickable item inside a clickable list item? Or is there some kind of work around? Would it solve my problem if I used ExpandableListView?

  • How do I hook into the action method for an iPad popover toolbar button?

    Hi, I am using the split view template to create a simple split view that has, of course, a popover in Portrait mode. I'm using the default code generated by template that adds/removes the toolbar item and sets the popover controller and removes it. These two methods are splitViewController:willShowViewController:... and splitViewController:willHideViewController:... I'm trying to figure out how to make the popover disappear if the user taps on the toolbar button while the popover is displayed. You can make the popover disappear without selecting an item if you tap anywhere outside the popover, but I would also like to make it disappear if the user taps the button again. Where I'm stuck is this: there doesn't seem to be an obvious, easy way to hook into the action for the toolbar button. I can tell, using the debugger, that the action that's being called on the button is showMasterInPopover. And I am new to working with selectors programmatically, I admit. Can I somehow write an action and set it on the toolbar item without overriding the action that's already there? e.g. add an action that calls the one that's there now? Or would I have to write an action that shows/hides the popover myself (behavior that's being done behind the scenes presumably by the split view controller now???). Or am I missing an easy way to add this behavior to this button without changing the existing behavior that's being set up for me? Thank you!

To do this I tried saying, if a certain div is shown, the background colour of a certain button changes. However, you can see there that it isn't working properly, it is changing the colour for the web one but not removing the colour change and adding a colour change on a different button when you change pages.   • TRibbon's large button's image is not centered...any ideas? easy to demonstrate at design-time.

  • Bottom button bar overlaps the last element of Listview!!

    I have a listview which is part of an Activity. I want user to have a choice for batch deleting the items in the listview, so when he chooses the corresponding option from the menu, every list item gets a checkbox next to it. When user clicks any checkbox, a button bar is to slide up from bottom (as in gmail app) and clicking delete button deletes the selected items, however clicking cancel button on the bar would uncheck all the checked items. I have tried using the listview footer option, but that appends the bar to the end of the list instead of keeping it fixed at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way I could "raise" the listview enough so that the overlap wont happen?? BTW, I have already tried adding the bottom-margin to the listview itself, or the LinearLayout wrapping the listview right before making the button-bar visible, but it introduces other bugs like clicking one checkbox checks some another checkbox in listview.

    Hello guys, i have a web form who send post variables like: <form action="teacher.php" method="post"> <input name="pass" type="password"> <input name="quiere" type="image" value="submit" src="IMG/unlock-32.png" /> </from> In the same page i check for a submit acction with php doing a simple isset check like: "if (isset($_POST['quiere'])) {" But if you do this in IE the post var "QUIERE" (the button var) does not post, the others vars are fine, and if you try this simple form in any other browser it works. I only get this form function well in IE changing the button for a normal button, instead of a image button like: <input name="quiere" type="submit" value="submit" /> In this way, the var "quiere" get post. So, what do you think? and sorry for my english.

    I have a FormView that modifies an instance of a custom class. The various form controls (TextBox, DropDownList etc.) are working fine. However, I want to include a Button that will modify the state of the DataItem based on some very simple logic. There is no form control which could control this change in a non-confusing way. So I tried adding a Button and modifying the state of the DataItem in the code-behind. But the problem I encounter is that the FormView's DataItem is null/nothing. From reading this SO question it seems the problem is that the item is not databound when the Button's Click event is fired. So, the question; Is it possible to get the DataItem for the FormView during a Button's Click event? and if not: what are my options for implementing this? Thanks in advance.     I have developed a simple web application using JSP. It has a login page which contains username, password fields and sumbit button. It has a logout page which contains a link to the login page. And there are some pages like page1, page2, page3, page4, etc. Normal workflow is the following: After login comes page1. Then click some action and it will go to page2. Then click some action and it will go to page3. Then click some action and it will go to page4. So now I am in page4. Now click back button in navigation toolbar in browser, generally go to previous page (page3). But my requirement is, if you click back button in navigation toolbar from any page in the application, then you should go to logout page. For example: if you are in page4 and press the back button, then you should go to logout page and not to page3. How to achieve this? Is it anyway possible? Maybe with Javascript?

    To prevent duplicate requests (i.e. pressing F5 right after clicking a command button), I've setup my page base class to ignore the request if it's detected as a duplicate. When I say 'ignore' I mean Response.End() Now I thought I've seen this work before, where there's an issue, I just Response.End() and the users page just does nothing. I don't know the exact circumstance in which this worked, but I'm unable to repeat it now. Now when I call Response.End(), I just get an empty browser. Also; please note that this code is the simplest code I could come up with to demonstrate my problem. It's not meant to demonstrate how to check for dup requests.
