• JQuery Accordion - bottom-up in stead of top-down

  Hi there, I have a question about the accordion plugin for jQuery. Basically, I've got it to work on my site nicely, there's just one thing that I'd have liked it to do and that is bottom-up opening in stead of top-down. What I mean by that is that my 3 buttons just stand in the vertical menu (div) in the bottom. And when you click it, they'll slide open but upwards, not downwards. Is there a way to achieve this easily? I've gone through the documentation, but can't find any native support for it, so I was wondering if it was possible to do it in the javascript of the plugin itself. Thanks in advance.

• JQuery JEditable stay in edit mode on error

  I'm successfully using jeditable to submit via a function using jQuery.ajax and the async : false option , but am having an issue aborting if an error is returned. How can I get the edit box to stay activated and / or revert back to the original value if there are errors? I'm returning http status codes. so something like async : false .ajax submit here... if (xhr.status == 200) { return value; else { alert ('returned error'); // keep edit box activated but available for another try, or revert back to original value } I tried not returning a value from the function, which keeps the edit box activated and ready for another submit, but then the ESC key doesn't work anymore and if I click outside the edit area, the edit box stays.   Hello. I am creating a site that requires a very small postcode checker. I have approx 8 postcode prefix's, HX, HD, BD, LS etc in an array. I also have a simple input field and submit btn. When the user types in a postcode for example HX5 9DU I want Jquery to check the array, if there is match for the first 2/3 letters I want a div to fade in displaying a message. How would I do this?   I have a large form with some fields values dependent on previous elements. I use jquery's .trigger event to trigger the dependent field's update functions. When I refresh the page (click reload or click back), the previous values selected are still there, but the dependent fields are not reflecting the other element's values. How can I trigger the update functions upon refresh? I saw a way to prevent the browser from using the form's cached values. I'd rather use the cached values and update the elements dependent on the elements with cached values.

  My name is Dimas and I work as a developer in a hospital. I've developed a web form with JQuery Mobile which is accessed from an Android tablet. It sends data (text and FILES) to the server (PHP) and it's saved in a MySQL database. This tablets are used by doctors that are visiting the patients in their homes. Some of these patients live in remote areas with very bad Internet connection, so I'm thinking on use HTML5 Offline feature to solve these situations. I started reading about it but I'm newbie with this technology. I've some questions: Do you think this is the best/easiest solution?   If I am starting a new project how should I pick between using YUI 2, YUI 3 and jQuery? I know there are a bunch of questions/answers already about can you use them together, but I am trying to figure out what criteria I should be thinking about to make my decision. Are they overlapping? Is one better at GUI and the other better at internals? Do they play well together? My understanding from other questions is that they can live in different namespaces, so they can live together, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is good to use both. Thanks!

  Hi everyone, I programmed a CMS that has a log of who has recently logged into the system. Presently, this data is fed into a jQuery UI tab via Ajax. I would like to put this information into a sidebar on the main page and load it via AJAX every 30 seconds (or some set period of time). How would I go about doing this? Does the PHP response need to be JSON coded? I am fairly new to AJAX and JSON data.
